Food and drinks were great. Wil definitely go again!!!!
GrilleStone is one of my favorite restaurants, I’ve been with friends and also enjoy going alone🙂the food is great and the drinks are outstanding!
Good. Food was okay. Place was very busy. Reservations recommended.
We were COLD!
*Ordered beer. It was skunked/expired.
*My wife ordered a gin fiz. Tasted like $0.50 juice with flat seltzer. *Order 3 gin and tonics with Hendricks. The 3rd came after I paid bill and we were dressed and standing at the table getting ready to leave. I was charged for it.
*I ordered wings as an app and requested ranch along with the blue cheese dip as my wife doesn’t eat blue cheese. We only received blue cheese and had to ask for ranch.
*My wife ordered a steak (stone fillet) on a 550° hot stone medium well. It arrived burned like a hockey puck.
*I ordered an 18oz ribeye medium with asparagus. I received a ribeye well well done (overcooked) with spinach. Had to send it back.
I’ve been to restaurants and had 1 thing wrong once or twice but to have this many mishaps in a single visit is ridiculous. And to bring us the last drink when we were getting ready to walk out is CRAZY. I’ve been to this place for the bar once or twice but I will never be back for dining in again.
Rt 22 is packed with great restaurants. Spend your money elsewhere. GRILLSTONE does not deserve it.
No pasta on menu or stuffed fish. Limited alcoholic beverages- no frozen drinks. Ribeye steak was good and big. Nice atmosphere. Sushi menu nice addition. Not inexpensive.
Overall just an okay experience. Good service but food missed the mark for both of us. Probably won’t go back but nothing really wrong with the experience. Just not for us.
Steaks always on point!
The food was good but my wife’s steak was slightly overdone
The server was not very attentive but not horrible
Been here before. It’s extremely hit or miss. Food is general pretty good, not amazing… good for just a decent night out dinner. Wife and I had a babysitter and just wanted to get out for a couple hours for a simple dinner and drink. We walked in, sat down and 15 min later left. It was extremely loud, no background music, every single light in the place full bright, none of the accent lighting on, fire place not lit, etc. The ambiance was a 0. We were really looking for a high end romantic dinner, just some time out to enjoy. The mood was such a killer we decided to leave and go eat elsewhere. Conversely, I was there with a friend about 3 weeks ago and it was the complete opposite. On point with atmosphere, food, service, music, etc.
I guess it all depends what manager and chef are working. Get it together… it’s got potential, but not if it’s a crap shoot what you are going to get walking in the door.
romaine lettuce not fresh
served with very little dressing
beat salad was greenies with small amount of beats
Food could use improving. Best to go with a burger
Not good at all. We got four different sushi rolls that were all honestly inedible. Apps were just OK, really nothing to write home about was our first time here and we won’t be back. This also is not really worth mentioning but when we got our dessert to share for the six of us we were given one fork and three different sized spoons. Again not sure what that means but it was definitely odd.
I was disappointed in the 3% fee added on my bill. What was that about ?
Hello Jon. Thank you for dining with us. To address you inquiry, several months ago we implemented a processing fee for credit card transactions. Credit card companies charge us, the merchant upwards of 4-5% per transaction depending on the card type to give the card user their rewards. This was a small measure taken without passing along exorbitant price increases due to higher food costs in this hyper-inflationary climate, minimum wage increases and increased taxes due to policy change.
Every item on menu was over priced . $20 for appetizer wings was more than my burger meal. Try for yourself
Hello and thank you for dining with us. If you simply turn on the news, it is well publicized that food costs have risen significantly due to higher transportation costs and the hyper-inflationary conditions caused by this administration. We have resisted price increases for so very long, but without these necessary increases, the hospitality industry will continue to suffer and you will continue to see many restaurants go out of business. We thank you for your valued patronage and understanding
Food was good. Mimosas were great and the service was really good!
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top notch. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I have been here several times a d have yet to be disappointed.
It was my first time at this restaurant and it was an okay experience. I went for my mother’s birthday with my family. The food was okay not the best. Family complained about the food not being flavorful. It took a while for a food to come out as well and the waiter took kept forgetting things for our table but he was still nice overall. I probably wouldn’t return.
My first time dining at GrilleStone. Loved the ambience! Appreciated the spaciousness! Our server Brit was charming and wonderful...loved that she stopped by often to find out if everything was ok. Will definitely be back...soon!
Excellent food and drink, our server was attentive and overall a decent price for the food we ordered. Will be back in the future.
Cocktails and solid basic continental food in a spacious bar & dining room. The hot honey chicken & burger were both good.
Had the pork chop and it was amazing. Service was great and servers were very friendly. Can't wait to go back to try the sushi!
We have been going to Grillestone for some time. We just love the ambiance, the staff and especially the food. There is a real family feel to the place. There are many regulars so you always see someone you know. On weekends they offer specials which are amazing. During the warmer weather the patio is the place to be.
Amazing dining experience! Hands down the best ribeye I’ve ever had. My husband had the tuna entree which was cooked to perfection! Can’t wait to go back.
I love grill stone, I've been dining here for year's and I'm always satisfied.
I reserved a regular table, not a high top (bc I hate them) and I was given one because “there’s no room in the dining room”
The waiter wasn’t exactly bad but he was so focused on his regulars he ignored our table.
The food was ok but not worth the price.
The ambiance used to be sort of nice but is a mess now. Clearly the staff and management don’t give 2 figs about the upkeep.
I’ve been in the past. Tonight will be the last. Highly disappointing.
Hello Mr. O'Grady. We do sincerely apologize for your subpar experience. We do try to accommodate all guests' seating requests to the best of our ability. At times, reservation and guest flow does not allow for us to accommodate every request. We source the highest quality products and have combatted the inflationary climate to keep prices as low as possible for the high quality. We can assure you, ownership, management and the staff give more than 2 figs about upkeep and guests satisfaction.
One of my favorite restaurants. Almost everything on the menu is highly recommended. Full of flavor!
Auntie enjoyed her 64th Birthday dining out; we haven’t been out together since the start of the pandemic; our server Jonathan was excellent and our food was delicious!
Thanks GrillStone see you soon 🤗!
Met my nephew and his girlfriend for dinner this evening. Hadn’t been to GrillStone in many years but it’s close to home and casual so thought we’d give it a try again. Impressed with the upgraded decor and nice bar area. Appy’s and food in general were spot on. Particularly liked the cheesecake for dessert and the espresso martinis. Bridget, our server did a great job. We’ll be back more often.
Excellent food and lovely waitress that was efficient, effective and pleasant.
Only issue, was the overstaffed (3?) host(ess) station. Had a 615 reservation for three, arrived, saw patio less than half full and asked to be seated out there. Told no not possible, asked why as outdoor area was not full and got a not very satisfying response about not able to serve there but somehow serving inside was possible…
Was then seated inside, nearby only to see another party of 3 with a reservation immediately seated outside, no questions asked. Host staff need to be trained to not be idiots and expect customers to not notice things like that and be irritated by them.
I’ve been here a few times. We all enjoyed our meals. I like having the choice of tables, high seats at the bar, or outside. Nice atmosphere, clean and service is good.
Service extremely slow but food was great
Excellent, friendly server. Drinks were good, I ordered a burger medium rare, got it well. Took a long time to get our food, however I was patient because I realize restaurants are understaffed in the kitchen and the staff was working hard. I am a regular customer and enjoy this place. I sat in the patio and recommend that owners should have bug spray for customers to use. My daughter and I were bitten by bugs several times😤😤
We reserved a spot for my husband's birthday through Open Table and did not know what to expect. When we arrived, my husband chose to sit outside since it was in the late afternoon. Right after we sat down, our waiter took our order so that was a plus. When our appetizers arrived, OMG, the avocado toast, I am still trying to get over it, I didn't want it to finish. My husband enjoyed his nachos as well. Then I got my entre (Ahi Tuna) and even that was sooo good. My husband enjoyed his steak but had to take the rest home and had it for lunch the next day and still enjoyed it. In all, we had a grand ole time. We gave it an A!!!
Our server Belle was excellent constantly refilling drinks and making sure we were completely satisfied
Was a treat to go to Grillstone. You can see on the inside the re-configuration of the restaurant to adhere to social distancing. I sat outside on the deck, which has ample space for social distancing, a bar, a heated stone like fixture. Plenty high tops and regular outside dining available. The food was outstanding and the service from the manager CJ was exceptional. This is a great place to eat, dine, and have a great time. I highly recommend.
We had appetizers of Brussels sprouts, calamari and shrimp, clams, truffle Mac and cheese, and all were very good. The main courses included short ribs, ribeye steak, swordfish, short rib ravioli, and a Johnny burger, and we all enjoyed the tasty food.
Great place!! Had some fresh blame and oysters. Couple sushi rolls. Everything was awesome 🌟. I forgot to mention one delicious Expresso Martini. Yum!!!
I am so disappointed. I love this restaurant and this has been my worst experience there. They initially sat us at a booth in a corner so dark that you couldn’t see the menu. The hostess moved us with no problem. She didn’t notice that the lights were out there. The waitress was nice but you could tell that she was inexperienced. She wasn’t the one that brought the food out but she didn’t bother to check on us once we did receive it. I called her over about 10 minutes later because we needed condiments. We didn’t see her again until she brought the check. And then she never came back after that. The honey hot chicken sandwich was not seasoned and needed to be slathered with ketchup to be edible. The sushi (sloppy John) was soggy. The calamari was tasteless. The dry rub wings were good.
Nice evening catching up with a friend. Staff was attentive and the food was delicious. My friend ordered the scallop and lobster risotto and said it was perfectly prepared. We will visit again.
