Had a reservation with a request for window seating. The restaurant not at all busy when we arrived at 6 p.m. or really throughout the evening but we were told the closest window seats were booked. After protest, they finally sat us on the second tier a bit closer which was fine. I am pretty sure they have the notes you give to them when they make the reservation so perhaps they could say before hand - no window seating - if they truly are going to be full. Very clumsily done. Awkward for our guests. Starts things off on a negative note. Also - interestingly the last 2 times we have been there, neither waiter introduced themselves when they came to the table causing me to ask their names??
Excellent restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. If you like to have dinner near to a Marina, this is the place. The food is awesome and they have a great Wine List. The stuffed lobster was delicious and the Truffle Fries!
Phenomenal food and ambiance. Our server was dismissive and did not care to check on us to be sure our food was prepared correctly , or that we had received everything we ordered. I cannot say who it was because she did not tell us her name, and never stopped long enough to ask.
Excellent location and views of the water. Food was excellent with exceptional service!
Took my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Here’s our HONEST review for the higher end (more expensive) restaurant/experience.
-waiter was friendly(wish I remembered his name)
-service of hostess/bar tender were great
-atmosphere and view were great (we sat outside on a beautiful evening)
-cocktails/wine, appetizizers were good.
Here was our main issue/disappointment/and reason we would NOT go back.
Ordered a prime rib MEDIUM - it came out dry and NO (ZERO) PINK in the center.....let the manager know, and he said it was because of the lighting in the room. I googled on my phone a “colors of steaks photo” (rare, med rare, medium, etc...) to try to prove my point while he went and got his personal cell phone to shine on the steak. Again there was NO pink on a MEDIUM steak.....for such a high price place and peace of meat, was disappointed and was an akward exchange between the manager and I (he did however take it back and brought me another one),it just was MORE THAN OBVIOUS it wasn’t cooked properly and he would not admit it or apologize (but again, was willing to go make another one).
I have had better steak and service in regards to caring about it being prepared properly at longhorne steakhouse.
Food, service and ambiance were all excellent
It was just so so. The portions are very large. I probably wouldn't go back just because it wasn't memorable. The beet salad was very good and the steak was just ok. It needed more seasoning and less charring.
Excellent food . I had the tomato onion and Gorgonzola salad , shrimp and scallop dinner . The presentation was amazing and it was cooked to perfection. the view of the waterway added to the ambience of the evening !
Love it here ..always good ..kind people good servers and great food ..a must try
Service, from the front door until we got our check was just terrible. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the US but I won’t be back. It was just that bad. I sent a private message to the restaurant, as I don’t like to do the negative public review thing. But it was read and not responded to. A shame.
40th wedding anniversary
As always, excellent service and perfectly prepared food.
Always a great spot where service never disappoints. Peter runs a great operation and the food is top-notch. Save us a seat at the bar - we'll be back again soon..! Cheers..!
Chilean Sea Bass was delicious along with Spinach, Sea Salted Baked Potato & their Signature Salad. Tim was a great server, the view of the “Private Ships” parked along the pier are Amazing. Free Valet parking!
It was great
It took about 15 minutes before our server actually address us but their system is good - we had water and bread instantly. The stone crab and crab cake was phenomenal! Lobster tail slightly over cooked and filet was perfectly prepared.
We have been to Grill 66 many times and have never been disappointed. The food is always great and the servers are always friendly and accommodating. When the weather allows choose to sit outside. Last visit we had Randy as our server. He was very nice and professional.
We were very disappointed in our service by our waiter. Kept walking away in the middle of ordering. He was very distracted. The bus boys were great!
The food was outstanding. I had the salmon oscar. It was the best meal I have had so far in 2018.
GreT time Excellent service. Food was great. Nothing negative to say
Second time here. Very happy both times. First time was romantic dinner with my wife. Second was with 3 couples. Food has been fantastic both times. It isn't cheap but there is some value. Price isn't a concern for me as long as it is good, and it hasn't left me unhappy yet. Have had lobster, sea bass, steak, stone crab, and all was real good. Pretty rare foe me to give 5 stars, but very close here. Special place.
I’ve been here a dozen times and this was the worst experience. Poor service, incompetent waiter and bad food. Crab cake appetizer was a deep fried (previously frozen) bread filled disappointment. They must have a new chef (or management/owner). I won’t be back for a long while.
Not sure if the restaurant had a bad day (food & service) but my meal was awful (with the exception of the cream of mushroom soup-delicious!) including the food being cold and the filet inedible. My server was unfriendly and rude. I wouldn't go back!
Have eaten here many many times however last two times steaks were not really good and the last time waiter was terrible forgot a few things we had ordered forgot second white wine brought it after our appetizer were finished second bottle of red wine had to wait too long was not a good evening Service in the past was always very good but this waiter was somewhere else Another thing he forgot we’re mushrooms. Too many other good restaurants won’t be back for quite a while
We had Easter dinner here and it was fabulous as always. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller that we just out of this world. For our main course we had the Easter Special of Leg of Lamb. It was very good and unusually large portion.
We went right to desert and had the Carrot Cake that was huge and fantastic. The pineapple sauce was fantastic.
One of the consistently best in Fort Lauderdale. Beautiful art deco room on the water with expansive outdoor areas. Food is always excellent. Service is professional. A great way to spend an evening.
Pretty decent. A couple of caucasians were staring at my husband and I as if no African Americans has never been to that part of town nor that restaurant. It was rude!
The place is more informal than we thought. Many wearing beach wear and flip flops. Food is no different than any other. Trulucks le capitol grille will yield you better food and service.
Great service, excellent food and fantastic atmosphere. Great for my friends birthday celebration!
Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Water Way. Man kann hier schön die ein/ausfahrenden schiffe beobachten. Alles in allem ein gutes Essen mit riesigen Portionen
A must do in Fort Lauderdale.
My favourite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale!
Fabulous! Great food and ambiance.
Awesome food and great waiter Larry...made our experience wonderful
Hands down my favorite spot in Lauderdale. The view and food are amazing. Insider tip: get the snapper Piccata style. Great preparation! Scallops appetizer is another can’t miss option.
Always an amazing experience!!! From beginning to end:) we have been coming here for years and it’s like family!
Great place for a special ocasion or anytime you want a nice dining experience.
Everything was wonderful. Enjoyed it tremendously. Our waiter Tony Fasulo was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable . Would only ask for him,
