Grille 66 & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Food was excellent. Signature chopped salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was superb. We had ny strip and double chicken breast entrees. Both cooked exactly right. Steak was tender and juicy. Chicken skin was incredibly flavorful. Sides we enjoyed were a HUGE baked potato, 1/2 order of creamed spinach and a basmati with peppers All cooked correctly and all tasty. And they comp’d us a chocolate mousse cake for our anniversary.
Service was perfect; timely with follow ups without being intrusive. A real winning dining experience.
Arrived a few minutes late due to the bridge opening and were offered an indoor table immediately. We asked to see if there were any outdoor tables available and we’re told it would be just a few minutes and to wait in the bar. After about 15 minutes we were taken to a table near the outside door although the next table was empty the entire evening. The waiter Jake was very attentive through out the dinner. The food: sea bass/prime ribeye, NY strip and Shrimp was excellent everyone said. Desserts: choc cake, sorbet/homemade ice cream and creme brûlée also we’re super! Be forewarned if you order a side they are huge and can serve 4 people. We will be back to again sit outside as the inside was very loud but outdoors had a great view of the inter coastal and boats!
One of my favorite restaurants in Ft Lauderdale
Besides the great location, the menu is excellent and the food quality fantastic
Habib is probably one of the best waiters I have ever had and I also have homes in New York City and Paris so I am well aware of what constitutes exceptional service
Good food, good service. Charging 18% service charge for a party of 5 is ridiculous. 6 or more is standard, but 5??? You screwed your staff out of a 25% tip by placing this service charge on a small party. This type of policy is offensive and I will never take clients here again.
Grill 66 has a great variety of wines and the food is top notch! Bring your wallets as they are not afraid to ask for money! But the food is amazing. My rating would have been higher on the ambience but they had an event going on and the noise level was absurd! But don't let that deter you.
It was a wonderful experience!
The food was delicious, great service that was professional yet not stuffy. We had a large table, yet we could hear everyone's conversation. The lighting was perfect. The restaurant is very clean. Looking forward to going there again!
We arrived promptly for our reserved dinner. We were taken to a table that surrounded by huge parties. A little beyond, there were to quiet tables for 4 each. I suggested that we would to take one of them, the one on the right edge of the room. The waiter excused himself and went to see, if my request could be honored. He came back and gave us the one on the right hand side. I asked him why and he responded that the other one was reserved. Curiously, the table that I requested remained empty for the whole evening - their mysterious guests, never showed up.
We were surprised and Astonished by some of the rude comments made by the wine Sommelier but did not let them ruin the evening. Cocktails and appetizers were excellent. The entree’s were disappointing. The Veal and steaks were properly cooked but tough. Deserts were good.
This restaurant remains my top choice for a special dinner/nice meal in South Florida. Also great for business dinners. Best Manhattan that I have had in a long time! Peter and Julian who run the front desk make everyone feel special. Their wait staff are trained to perfection. Food was perfect.
We often choose Grille 66 when celebrating a special occasion or planning something more than a casual night out. While known for its steak and meat selections, the nice thing about this restaurant is its varied menu, including excellent fish and seafood dishes, wonderful appetizer and side selections and decadent desserts all helping to make it the type of place where everyone in the group will find something to his or her taste. We especially enjoy the crab cake, special chopped salad and roasted brussel sprouts, in addition to the wonderful filet mignon, and scallop dinners. Many options , everything excellent ,and cooked to order.
We have taken business clients and family to dine here...it is perfect for any type of event and we recommend in the cooler weather dining on the patio by the intercoastal to enhance the ambiance of the evening. For the South Florida feel, we recommend Grille 66.
Grille 66 has been our favorite in Fort Lauderdale for over 10 years. The view, the outstanding seafood, and the best steaks I've had (sorry Omaha). Service is attentive, but not overwhelming. All my guests have agreed and can't wait to visit for a trip to Grille 66.
Food was pretty good scenery was very nice ,water views with all the yachts, if I had to say anything negative, it would have to be about food accommodation . I requested for my meal not to have a specific item in this case grilled tomatoes and I was told it was premade? Now for the amount of money for the dish itself I would think that would not be an issue but to each its own. Overall it was a nice experience
Several years ago they were spectacular..... food, ambience, service.... all EXCELLENT. I don't know hat happened. New owner??? New management??? Food was average to even poor (i.e. - 6 oysters and 3 were rancid). Service was non-existent (i.e. - almost had to tackle the waiter after 15 minutes just to get an ice-tea refill, also table was not bused and dirty appetizer plates were on the table when the dinner was served...... what did the servers do.... the dirty plates were simply pushed to the side...... I had to ask a server to take a plate and they actually left two dirty appetizer plates in the middle of the table throughout dinner. THEN, prior to desert, they only bused 1/2 of the table and the waiter disappeared again. PATHETIC). You can get better service at a chain steakhouse restaurant.
NO REASON TO GO HERE ANYMORE EXCEPT TO LOOK AT BOATS IN THE MARINA.
Grill 66 should have been stellar. It was anything but. I had a tasteless steak. It was the special 22 ounce boned in ribeye. NO TASTE at all. My son-in-law had the pork chops. They were so spicy and not edible. We started at the bar with tuna sliders. What we got were onion sliders with chopped tuna. The waiter too was less than stellar. Although we chose not to return any of the entrees, one would thing that if 3/4 of each plate were left there likely was an issue. We also never got the second round of drinks that we ordered. Other than that it was great.
