Grille 401 Ratings and Reviews
Grille 401 has interesting and enticing food for your dining pleasure. We had the grilled artichokes which are amazing. I had the tuna tower appetizer which is an abundant serving of sushi tuna with avocado and crispy noodles in a wonderful ponzu sauce. Service is great. The only suggestion for management to improve, is to get better rolls or bread. The Grandma buns are not congruent with the delicious food and presentation. Maybe some delicious sour dough rolls, or crispy crackers.
I came with a group of 6 people and had awesome time.... the food was very high quality .... creative and fun drinks... music was present, but not obtrusive, our waiter Heath was so amazing and fun and informative....we wanted him to come home with us. My third time at the restaurant... service is always top notch...we had a disabled friend with us and they made it work. We will be back.... awesome place.i ordered something pricey... but it was delicious and worth it.
SARAH, our server was excellent! Seek her out. Also, the hostess was very sweet and attentive. Outstanding layout of bars and seating arrangements. However, food was kind of average. The Key Lime Chicken was a bit dry and the sauce was dried up. A little quality control could make a lot of difference.
Food and service was great. Had the prime rib dinner that was fantastic. Large portion of meat, baked potato, how can you go wrong with that combo. Unfortunately, I did not care for the "as su" sauce for the prime rib, had some sweetness to it which I did not prefer, other than that the meal with great. Our server Sara was great as well, very attentive and personal.
Great evening at Grille 401!
I would’ve rather spent $75 at McDonald’s. The food was terrible, the hostess was terrible. The only good things were good atmosphere and awesome waitress (Katie). Otherwise, both of our appetizers were sub-par, and my salmon tasted as if I dove into the ocean water myself and pulled the fish out with my teeth- it was so salty. Manager was kind enough to take my meal off the check, but did not even come over to speak to us and see what was wrong. Everyone in that place seemed stuck up and uncaring except for our waitress. Needless to say, first and last time we will be dining at the establishment.
We were having lunch outdoors - a few tables are on the covered boardwalk. Unfortunately, there was road works going on across the street and the noise level was significant.
We had chosen this restaurant because of the high ratings in Opentable. The food was ok, but not living up to the high expectations we had after the very good reviews.
We had a tuna poke stack, which was too much pita chips and not enough avocado cream and overall disappointing. The salads ("hungry goat" and "steak and blue") were good, but not outstanding. Service was not sharp - water was refilled once, ice tea 15 not at the same time but mins later. Mains came 2 mins after the starter, waitress had quite a few stains on her dress. When asked for a pepper mill she brought a shaker from the next table and only after repeated request came with a pepper mill.
Not a cheap place for lunch - one starter, two salads, water and tea for just over 50 bucks. Overall experience was barely still ok, but will certainly not go there again.
I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday night. The music was fairly loud downstairs by the bar but not upstairs which is where we sat. We enjoyed the music as a nice change to a regular restaurant. The service was great our server was Jason truly cannot complain my boyfriend didn’t want to give a 5 but I did. The food was great we got the bone in rib eye and shared it as well as a tuna appetizer. Our bill came out to 100 dollars and we had 1 drink each no dessert. Would definitely come back again for a Friday night
