Grille 29 Birmingham
Ate dinner with 4 business associates - we were pretty impressed. We had the steak and the surf and turf, along with crab dip appetizer. Overall a very good experience. Steaks were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Service was attentive. Would recommend.
BRW menu was delicious!
Great experience, great service!
Will definitely be returning....Enjoyed every minute!!!
We had a good meal, service. Only negative was the cocktails were pretty weak. Our waitress was great.
The service was good and the manager was very accommodating.
We have been here before - we had friends visiting from out of town so we brought them to Grille 29. We had an excellent dinner and got the seating we wanted next to the large tropical fish tank. Our meals were well prepared; I had the tenderloin tips which were tender and delicious. Everyone else had fish, either the grouper or trout. The Cesar salad was very good too. It was early and not crowded or noisy. Our servers (we had two) were personable and entertaining - thanks, Tim and Rob. It is a pricier place to eat, but the portions are large and everything so far is excellently prepared and beautifully served. I’m sure we’ll be back again.
I always enjoy brunch at Grille 29 and my host Courtney is the best!
Our server was very nice and personable however the wait between ordering our drinks, food and it FINALLY arriving was a bit excessive. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all. We noticed surrounding tables with different servers get their items in a much more timely manner. The food was still great and we're still fans of tbe restaurant, our wait was just a bit much.
It was the best 17th Wedding Anniversary ever. My wife really enjoyed brunch.
When we visited, it was a very slow day. Almost gave us cause to reconsider. However, the service was great and the food was as well. We really enjoyed the meal. The lack of people impacted the overall energy but we go to restaurants to eat great food and accomplished that. Would visit again.
This spot has a fantastic ambiance and great food! The only caveats would be, the music they play on Sunday during dinner is super depressing and they don't have a pasta dish. Not sure how a primarily seafood restaurant doesn't serve ANY pasta? Corporate should fix that.
Everytime I visit Grille 29, I'm NEVER disappointed.
The food was delicious. It was really busy so our waitress Emily was stretched pretty thin..she had several tables plus a bridal shower but she was never short or neglecting of our table. She was great. Everyone in our party was new to the restaurant except me. They all loved it! The brunch was a great start to our mom's birthday.
I really enjoyed my first time visit. Celebrating a birthday with family and frienda...we all enjoyed our waiter, food, and service. I"d like to suggest that Grille 29 celebrate birthdays by giving a guest something special.
I love this place. I always get the same thing. I need to venture out and try something else. The $3 mimosas are GREAT! I'll definitely keep returning! :)
I love this location! Each and every time I’ve been here the service has been impeccable.
Everything was amazing-food, service and the atmosphere! Ron & A were our servers and they were very kind.
Extremely loud, I believe the dome ceiling helps to amplify the sound in the restaurant to the point it is hard to carry on a conversation at your table. Service was HORRIBLE. Food okay, but let down from expectations.
My first time here and I loved it. Everyone’s food was cooked perfectly. I had a perfect Filet 29 cooked medium rare (more on the rare side). My friend’s Salmon Brûlée was also outstanding. I don’t even like Salmon and I would order it in the future. The scallops were cooked great too. I think some people should make sure to send food back, if it isn’t cooked the way you ordered. Ours was cooked exactly how we ordered.
Our 3 person party all live outside of the Birmingham area; have all eaten at Grill 29 but not frequently. My sisters treated me to lunch for my birthday. The food was delicious; not a single complaint about any thing. The service was excellent and our waiter very prompt and quietly attentive. We each ordered different fish dishes; salmon, trout and fried cod. Food was wonderful.
We wait 20 minutes for our salad. That we were about leaving the restaurant and going somewhere else.
Made reservations at the last minute for my brother and I. Nice restaurant on the inside and service was efficient and prompt. Martinis were very good as was the shrimp appetizer. The problem came with the main course. I ordered the NY strip medium and my brother ordered the ribeye medium rare. My steak was almost well done with only the faintest of pink even at it's thickest part while my brothers ribeye was very, very rare. The sides were very good but the inconsistence of the steaks precludes a higher rating.
This was our 2nd time visiting Grille 29. This time for my daughters sweet 16. Brunch was amazing! And the service was outstanding! Thank you for taking care of our needs!
Everything was good once again and we got the same server from our last brunch which is Cortney and she is amazing!!!
We enjoy the food. The service is good. The menu is interesting but not extensive.
Everyone was so nice they even had a birthday card ready for the birthday
The deserts were so rich and yummy!
It took 30 minutes to get the bottle of wine we ordered, and before we could order any food. The food itself was poor quality. Speaking for my meal only, the skewer of shrimp and scallops was overdone, and cold when served. There were other food shortcomings. Too bad it was such a poor experience - I hate giving bad reviews. Hopefully, they will improve their game.
The food was great. Nice wine list. I tried a blueberry-lemon drop cocktail and it was delicious. The menu was somewhat limited, but it was brunch. Both breakfast and lunch items were featured. We all three enjoyed our food very much. We will be back.
Good food, good service & good atmosphere. Good value
Enjoyed our Orange Beach Salad! Service and food perfect!
Courtney our server was great!!! Food was delicious and the mimosas was awesome.. i will be back
Food took a little long for not a big crowd other than that superb as always!
The food was great and service was top notch! I'll definitely be back!
We are a group,of,classmates who hadn’t seen each other in over 40 years. The noise level.....was probably high from us but we got no complaints. Everyone was very accommodating and we all had a great time.
Thanks for making our day great.
First visit. Came to celebrate our parents' 63rd anniversary. Hubby enjoyed the tenderloins; I loved the Salmon Brulee. Shrimp & Grits on the spicy side for my mil. Only real noise carried over from the bar area, though we sat across the restaurant. Darius was friendly and courteous and did a great job of serving us. Next time, I need to remember to order the GF Chocolate Souffle before I finish dinner since it takes a while to prepare. Missed out this time because I didn't want the rest of our group to have to wait on me.
Had brunch here and the building and atmosphere were lovely. Eggs and bread for breakfast sandwich were dry and overcooked and frittata was over-cooked. Beef tips were good.
Our server Erin was amazing. She was very helpful in making decisions for food, drinks, and even a night out on the town. Her service was amazing. I would refer her section for any of my family and friends!!
Everything was perfect for my birthday brunch glad I had made reservations for us
