Our server Teresa was amazing and extremely helpful. Ambiance is nice and the views were great too. I would go back!
Greg's has a wonderful location and a gorgeous building. The service was better than I've experienced there in the past. But the food is expensive and mundane. With a more imaginative menu it would be a great restaurant.
We have been going to Gregs Grill since 2008. It is usually consistent, nice atmosphere, great view, nice cocktails. They seem to fit a lot of different categories. Overall a safe bet.
Greg's Grill is our personal favorite when are in Bend. We love the ambiance, the food and service is great, and the views of the Old Mill and Deschutes River are always beautiful! Our server Melissa was wonderful. We enjoyed meeting the Mgr and all the staff were very polite and profoundly accommodating.
WE enjoy dining along The Deschutes River with evening views of the sun setting over The Cascade Range and the emerging of Bend’s night lights...The waitcstaff are friendly & accommodating ...Dinner was well presented...
Food sucks, fish had bones in it. They brought me a new one that had more bones in it than the first one. Way over priced for the quality of food.
The food was good and our server was very friendly and attentive. I look forward to eating here again.
Greg’s is a beautiful restaurant. That being said, our reservation was at 7:45 and I ordered rotisserie chicken with roasted vegetables as my entree. I’m going to assume that it was on the rotisserie too long or we just showed up too late in the evening but the chicken was so dry that it needed to be washed down with a full glass of water or it was literally going to be stuck in my throat for days.
My advice, don’t go too late in the evening!
Great place, love the Christmas decorations. Our waitress was lovely!
Wonderful service, great food. Fabulous atmosphere.
Great table by the window. Service was good. Festive spot for holiday lunch
Food was good. There were a number of items on the menu that I'll be going back to try the next time I'm in Bend, OR.
I'm very happy to be leaving a positive review! We started our meal with some oyster shooters which were big and fresh. My husband and I both had the steelhead and it was wonderful. I especially liked the fig chutney!!! My daughter had the hanger steak with chimichurri. It was cooked well, but could have used a bit more chimichurri on the side. Would like to see a bit more variety of starch choices. Mostly potatoes. But, very happy to see a decently priced wine list!
Beautiful as always for the season, great food, and exceptional service. Can't beat it for that "special occasion".
My ribs were fatty and the sauce was very rich. We don’t care much for Greggs Grille but our friends like it so we treated them to dinner. They loved their dinner, chicken and a tuna steak. We do like salads in the summer on the patio.
Needs more veggie/vegan options
Celebrated 70th Birthday, staff made it a special occasion. Food was great, served hot and in a timely manner. This is definitely one of our favorite Bend restaurants with the ability to seat and feed lots of people and still take care to provide good service.
Thanksgiving, the turkey dinner was awesome! Great tasting veggies, along with a nice squash bisque, complemented the juicy turkey and garlic mashed potatoes quite nicely! I will miss the leftovers though!
I’ve never had a salad brought to me with a hot plate one it was just taken out of the dishwasher and probably was 120° 130°
All the food was over salted which is typical when their catering a single meal like they did for Thanksgiving
It’s sad because it such a beautiful restaurant and in such a beautiful place
Great atmosphere.... Sweet server. Awesome martini!
Just a pity that such a beautiful location and lovely restaurant building does not have better cuisine. The hard carrots were particularly bad and the fish was very greasy and not that well flavored. My husbands steak was ok.
With a great view and fantastic employees and food, Greg's Grill makes a wonder place to take friends especially those from out of town.
Loved everything. Food and service were great, reserving on line great, a warmer table would have been preferred. Sitting next to the window was a bit chilly. Definitely deserves a return. Always has.
Good food!! Good view with great windows!
We enjoyed meeting servers Katie and Ryan. Very friendly staff made us feel special. Great idea to be able to make reservations online. Best restaurant in the Old Mill District!
Two of us had the fish and chips, which were both very good. However, the cole slaw was overdressed and not enough vinegar tang. The tartar sauce didn't have enough pickle.
My wife and I ate an early Sunday lunch at Greg's before heading back after a long Sunriver vacation. The service, food and ambiance were all excellent. Good wine list. Excellent lunch menu. I had a cup of soup of the day and steak salad - all excellent quality.
We looked at the website menu before going to the restaurant. We were going to have the Beef Brisket and the Cioppino. When we arrived we noticed those items were not on the menu. We asked our waitress about it and she said they have not updated the website. She also said a lot of customers complained about the discrepancy. I asked if the manager was aware and she said yes, but he did not care. I am a mystery shopper for a number of high end restaurants. I would have given this restaurant a low grade for attitude and misrepresentation. We will not return.
This was our first visit and it was recommended by our grandson. The atmosphere is very nice and a very pleasant view over the river. Our steaks were excellent, very tender. We were very pleased with the experience and would gladly come again.
Excellent doesn't adequately describe our experience! Great staff, attentive staff (thank you Tina!) and flavorable food. All around positive evening.
Grest view of the river. Friendly staff. Good food.
I ordered a green salad with a rotisserie chicken breast that was in 1/2" slices which and so dry I had to wash down each bite and gave up after the first slice. My husband's steak didn't have much flavor so he didn't finish it. Our server was very nice and took my salad off the bill but we tipped her for it too. Certainly will not rush back.
The food and service were very good we had children and they accommodated them also love the drinks
Oh my...the BBQ ribs are fall off the bone delicious! Slaw was perfectly dressed and they allow salads to be substituted for the fries.
Very disappointing experience. The menu limited and the preparation boring. Beautiful setting and could be wonderful if the kitchen expanded their menu and culinary skills. How do you ruin a Caesar salad? I will not be retuning as my last visit was as terrible as my most recent.
Food was excellent; restaurant ambiance very good; meal was diminished by lack luster service. Food spent too much time under the heat lamps while server was distracted. Server also forgot two ordered items. I would still recommend the restaurant, albeit with the caveat of the service.
My meal was no too great. I ordered prime rib and it was tough. I mentioned it to the waiter and he sent the manager over. I was disappointed in the meal but was not going to make a big deal out of it. The manager came over , talked to me and took the majority of the cost off the check . My wife had a filet and it was wonderful. It was her birthday and they brought her a nice dessert. Overall I thought even with my problem with my meal I will go back again if I am in the area.
The lights over our table were so bright it was hurting our eyes and the decor was straight out of an old run down buffet or Applebee's. The food was mediocre at best. They service was slow and lackadaisical.
We have been to this restaurant several times since moving to Bend last summer. It has always been good..until this most recent time. It was my husband's birthday and he had chosen this restaurant. Friday night 730pm--a typical busy time. Our server, Ashley, was a server we have had previously who has done a good job in the past. Not sure what was going on, but she was pretty inattentive and seemed preoccupied. Our food took FOREVER to come out. She cruised by the table 3 times and said "almost ready".... Once it finally arrived all meals were lukewarm. Sometimes I will ask for a manager if something like this occurs but with 5 hungry people we just went ahead and ate our food. The server did not come back until the end to check on how the food tasted and she never cleared the appetizers off the middle of the table. She also only took the rest of the plates after it was evident we were finished. I am planning to write a letter to management as well. Because there are a lot of restaurants in this town and this had been one of our favorites, I may be willing to give it one more try but if it's not a more favorable experience especially when paying $25-$40 per entree,( Prime rib, and a grilled salmon special that was not worth $36,) then we won't be back.
Would want more local brews offered on draft is only change I would add, darks and browns from micro breweries. Great for tourists visiting Bend.
