I highly recommend Greg's Grill. The food was excellent (In my party, two had salmon and said it was the best salmon dinner they have ever had in a restaurant. One had fillet mignon and said that never has a chef prepared the meat exactly the way she wanted it. She said it melted in her mouth. She even sent a thank you to the chef through our server. Two of us had the seared ahi. It was great, best I have ever had.). The service beat the taste and quality of our food. She kept stopping by to see if everything was okay and if she could help us in any way. I like especially hot tea and she kept bringing me hot water at 200 degrees. It was so fantastic that I gave her a $100 tip on a $275 dinner.
We brought UK clients here for dinner. The atmosphere and location are great. Our service was wonderful. The food is good but does not stand out compared to other restaurants for the price.
The dining area was very good. However, on my next visit, I would use the Bar area as this seems to have the best bargains in food and drink.
Always a hit for our family! We have diverse interests on the menu and Greg's never disappoints!
Great food, plus a wonderful view of the river with all sorts of people floating by, added are the walkers and cyclers going on the river edge paved walking path.
Love the ambiance. Everyone loved their dinner with exception of Shephard’s Pie. Very little lamb in it. We had a great time.
Food took forever to get served. Was not worth it and will never go back.
We went to Greg’s as a matter of convenience for our anniversary since we were staying near by. Our waitress Britt was great. Wish I could say the same for our meals. Both the rosemary chicken and my filet were tough. I had to send the filet back to bring it up to medium rare. That always puts a damper on a meal. Basically there was nothing special about our meal but the company. For a lunch or cocktail on the patio in the summer I might return. Otherwise, I’ll pass.
Good service, ambiance and grilled ahi dish!
We asked to be seated outside overlooking the river.......we picked a great table and with some adjustment to the "unadjustable" table we had a great view and was shielded from the sun.....
Our service was exceptional and everyone was very friendly and anxious to make our evening perfect.
The food was excellent too....... we will be back.......
The food and service were great. The only complaint is the air conditioning made it a little too cool.
Great meal to celebrate a special occasion. Top notch service and amazing food quality. Loved my ahi tuna dinner salad. Great cocktails. Can’t wait to go back.
Based on the recommendation of our concierge, we made a 7:15p reservation at Greg’s Grill.
We arrived early and were seated on time.
It’s a very nice place with good views of the river.
We made our order (my daughter chose the Ahi and I chose the baby back ribs). Our drinks arrived and we were asked if we wanted bread...which we did.
It took twenty minutes to receive the bread, which we hoped didn’t portend a similar wait for dinner.
Our waitress (who was nice) stopped by about 45 minutes in an let us know that the kitchen was ‘backed up’ but that they were catching up. That would have been nice to know at the beginning, as the restaurant had open tables and you wouldn’t have thought it would be so long for dinner to arrive.
Just before an hour we were served dinner. My ribs came slathered in bbq sauce. I like bbq sauce, so I was pretty ok with it. What I didn’t realize was that it was on so heavy in order to hide waaaay overdone ribs. Major bummer.
I will say, my daughters Ahi was good. So there’s a plus.
Not going back. Plenty of other restaurants with a river view.....
Good food, average service, very small portions. We left hungry!
Service is slow. But chat charming and very nice
Drink came with a bug in it, when I presented to bartender he was less than thrilled to remake and didn’t put alcohol in the drink. One of the entrees had metal piece in it from a cleaning scrubber. Waiter did not return until meal was nearly complete to check on our table.
Great atmosphere, beautiful setting next to the river and the service was excellent.
we were able to sit outside, which was great. it took a very long time to be offered water and a drink, even after we asked an employee to send a server over. that was pretty annoying. the food was great. the price was higher than i expected.
Our server was really nice and we enjoyed our dinners. A special shout out to our server and another staff member who saw that the sun was in my eyes and who went outside and valiantly tried to fix the sunshade that was off the track. In spite of their efforts, the shade was still stuck, so I just pulled out my sunglasses until the sun shifted position. I really appreciated their efforts - very great customer service!
Wonderful Sunday afternoon in a great location and to top it off great service provider (BRIT).
Greg’s Grill never fails to come up short, sadly. We haven’t dined there for a while but we thought we would give it another chance. The cosmopolitan my husband ordered was really bad....had not been shaken properly with the ice and was kind of syrupy due to too high a proportion of cranberry juice. Then he ordered a mai tai. That was drinkable but super watery. Appetizers were good particularly the ahi tuna. Main courses .......one person had the shepherds pie which was ok. Also the coho salmon was fine. The steaks were cooked to the requested temperatures.......but one was basically lukewarm and to be honest not very appetizing. The accompanying vegetable was green beans....very boring plain green beans. I think the last time we visited the veggie was carrots and I said then why can’t you do some more interesting vegetable preparations. Nothing has changed obviously. The food is fairly high priced so I do think more attention should be given to the vegetables. The restaurant has such a nice location that I find very frustrating that the dining experience is really not up to scratch
My Husband and I went to dinner for our Anniversary. Our server, Jayelle was wonderful. We had a nice view and food came at great timing. Although that part was flawless the food was awful for the price you pay. Bland, no flavor what so ever. Probably won’t be going back unfortunately.
The wait staff was very attentive, and the food was exceptional. We make a point to eat there any time we are visiting Bend.
May go back for happy hour, food was good but overpriced. Drinks were way overpriced. They only serve happy hour drinks in the bar. Servers did a great job and worked as a team. We were dining for our anniversary which we mentioned on our reservation. No mention of anniversary, we did get a window seat but overall just felt like an ordinary dinner, not a special occasion. We didn’t feel like there were very many options for a special meal. Steak, chicken salmon and salads are all things we fix at home on a regular basis. When going out we like to order foods we don’t normally cook. Although what we ordered was tasty.
Our meal was just average. We would dine here again if a group were going, but would not choose this restaurant on our own. The prices are high, and the food does not justify the cost. It's just average. One of us ordered a filet mignon, and it was chewy. The flat iron was more tender. The toffee pudding cake was less than satisfactory; it was more a molasses cake than anything else. Not poor enough to return to the kitchen, but certainly not what was expected of this restaurant. The views out the windows are great, that's the redeeming factor (as well as the service, when the server could be found).
Great dinner --good food and very excellent, attentive service. We'd go back.
Overpriced fir what you get.
We arrived at Greg's on a beautiful warm evening and started with some cold chardonnay wine. We both ordered the rotisserie chicken which was very tasty. After enjoying our dinner and wine we opted for the sticky pudding to finish the evening. Our server, Teresa, was great.
We experienced excellent service, a beautiful view of the Deschutes River and delicious food.
Had a wonderful Girl's Day, ordered some drinks, an appetizer and then our meals. Even though we took forever to get our orders in, our waiter was awesome and friendly with us :)
Birthday Dinner- We were immediately greeted by the hostess, the entire staff was welcoming and friendly.
Our order was taken a d delivered promptly, the drinks a d food were excellent
We'll be back!
Thank you😁
Service was good; however, not great. My husband got his beer right away and I had to wait for my wine. Our server noticed I didn't have it and went to get it for me. We ordered an appetizer and it came quickly; however, I noticed other tables receiving bread which we didn't nor were we offered. I had to ask our server and she brought us some. We had a lovely river view; however, the sun was shining in my husband's eyes after we were there for a while and we had to hunt down a busboy to take care of it. Someone else should have noticed this and offered to put the blinds down. Then, when I went to pay, I had two $40 gift cards ($80) total; however, the server said it was only $40. I have the receipt from Costco where I bought them and they were worth $80 so now I'm out an additional $40. We live here and have only been here a few times and the ambiance is nice; however, our service was just ok.
It was our final Oregon dinner of our 2019 vacation.
If you are eating vegetarian, this place is awful. Some of the worst options I’ve had in town.
What a great meal!! Great Service Thanks Santiago!! Just did not care for the "Salsa" accent on my Artichoke and Spinach appetizer! Ruined the taste. Otherwise good place to eat. I'm from Spokane Washington. Would go again next time in Bend!
We had stopped in the night before for a drink in the bar after having dinner at another location.
We read the menu and decided to dine there the following evening. It was as good as we expected.
I also learned of a new wine I enjoyed.
Always love dinner at Greg's when we're in Bend. Perfect night to sit outside and enjoy the activity on the river!
We always have to have dinner at Greg's Grill when we are in Bend. The food is always great, and the service exceptional! Where else can you have a nice dinner with family in such a beautiful setting in Bend? Thanks for always exceeding expectations!
Great food and fun fir our anniversary! Got a free desert💕
Nice place, good atmosphere, quite large. Good was good. Had prime rib since they didn’t have any Pork Ribs. Husband had roasted chicken. All come with vegetables of the day and potatoes. Good prices and good value. They also have patio dining looking at the river.
