I have chosen this place because it had great reviews on “healthy” food choices. This place is not only beautiful but from the service to food was FANTASTIC! If you love bananas, you must try their fresh banana bread w/butter! My husband and I came here for brunch. I had the grilled cheese w/ pink lady apples & carmelized onions OH.MY.GOD!! Sooo goood!! Hubby had the pupusas and that was a home run!! This place can’t be beat. And, when you’re done, hop over to the Farmers Market *ends 1:30p Sunday’s.

Probably San Francisco's only upper scale vegetarian dining restaurants. The water views are is lovely, they have a nice wine list, the food is wonderful, and the desserts are delicious.

Even meat eaters will enjoy it.

Wonderful meal at Greens. I especially enjoyed the cheese plate we shared as an appetizer. My main course a layered vegetable tartin was amazing.

Overall, we had a very good experience. The only issue I had was with trying to contact the restaurant to let them know we would be arriving a little early for our reservation. No one picked up the phone, so I left a message. When we arrived, we checked in with the hostess and again, let her know we were a little early for our reservation. We were seated within 15 minutes at a window table, which was lovely. However, I got an e-mail from the restaurant later indicating that they had cancelled our reservation since we didn’t arrive for our reservation. It appeared the hostess had checked us in when we arrived, so I’m not sure what happened there.

Hadn't been to Greens in 20 years. Love it as much as I did when they first opened. First the view alone is worth it. The food is delicious and tastes lovingly prepared. Unique offerings. Menu is small but we found intriguing options that met our desired pallet.

I'm not a vegetarian but don't miss those options at Greens because the food is so full of flavor. It was served piping hot, which is a big plus for me. I have a thing about my food being hot.

Fabulous food and service. We actually got to see the rare rainbow over the Bsy. It was awesome. My vegetarian friend from Hawaii said it was the best vegetarian restaurant he has ever visited for a meal. Our sever Cara was particularly good, thoughtful and friendly.

$14 for 3 potato pancakes that were the size of a half dollar! It said greens were added and I think I counted 8 sprouts of some sort. Yikes. Chili though was hearty and only $9.

Finally made the pilgrimage to Greens. It was worth the trip. lovely starters included salad with winter fruits: persimmon, pomegranatand pear with a touch of blue cheese. beets hummus lentils and romesco with pita satisfied. Mushroom filo and potato gratin were quite deliious. Our only disappointment was the veggy brochette which was topped with a too sharp chimchurri that was also too finely chopped. Tofu was nice but the rest just did not come together. I would avoid.

They delivered our food to wrong table. Apologized but offered nothing until I asked. I expect better from greens.
