Greens Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Everything we had was outstanding. We started with the cheese plate and the winter vegetable sampler, both were interesting and very good. I had the mushroom and spinach filo. It was more a burrito inside filo dough, but really good. We like Greens for Sunday brunch, but also great for a special dinner.
Service was amazing. I could compare the helpfulness and appreciation for the experience to a top tier restaurant. Unique options for a vegetarian. For vegetarians who usually only have a few options on the menu which usually include pasta and salad, this place knows how to come up with unique meals.
I had gone to Greens frequently a number of years ago but because of family obligations on the other side of town and the illness of the friends I used to go with, I had been unable to pay a visit. I was so happy to have a lovely and most delicious dinner last Sunday night and I will plan to pay a visit to Greens more often in the future.
Not sure if it was because of our Open Floor reservation, but despite a crowd of people waiting for the restaurant to open, after we gave our name, we waited just a moment before being sat at the most beautiful window table looking out over the harbor and the sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge.
We went to Greens on vacation to celebrate an anniversary. Our waiter Natalia was very kind, and did not bother us too often, which I appreciate. I personally do not like when a waiter asks how you are doing too many times, it interrupts your meal. There were many waiters and helpers from the kitchen near if we ever needed anything. The food was great, we are both vegetarian and they had many options. The dessert was the best part. We had a vegan strawberry almond cake with blackberry sorbet. Probably our favorite food from our entire trip!
The view of the bay was amazing from almost any seat in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.
As plant-based vegans visiting San Francisco, we were thrilled to find this gem! The service was amazing (even with a packed restaurant) and the food incredible. We loved the swankier-than-usual ambiance as well, albeit a little noisy. I wish I could remember our server’s name-she was excellent!!! A must-visit, for sure!
Took some friends from out of town here hoping to impress them with the view and food, but wound up not having great service and got stuck in an uncomfortable small back room. Both were unusual since we had an early reservation and were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived.
I was able to make a reservation about a week ahead for two friends and myself. We have lunch together once a year. We were seated in the "Alcove" which is such a perfect place to be together with close friends. It was quiet and felt really special. Our waitress was very friendly and accomadating. The food was absolutely delicious and we all loved our meals. I had the Fall Sampler: mmmmmmmm.
Can't wait to go again.
Green's is one of members of my Most Preferred Restaurants List (MPRL) because of the exceptional food, excellent service and ability to cater to both herbivores and carnivores. We celebrate special occasions here as well as gather with family residing here. No trip to San Francisco (we are from CT) is complete without a stop here.
Generally, tasty, flavorful food. Papardelle with mushrooms was probably the best of the four meals we had (the other three meals were the tomato and goat cheese sandwich (tasty but teeny, like an hors d’oeuvre), middle eastern plate (same) and eggs with spinach (Good but nothing special).) Moroccan lentil soup (enjoyed by all) was a hit, as was the sorbet trio. As always, the best part about Greens was the lovely room and brilliant view.
As usual the menu provides options for everyone! My husband is a carnivore and he still loves the food! We were a group of five and were able to order five separate items and two for the table plus a dessert then we all shared ... everyone loved everything! Greens feeds your spirit as well as your body. Service was friendly, quick and also let us relax ... still interested in our comfort even after we paid our bill but were not ready to leave. I just wish I lived closer so that it wasn't just special events that brings us here.
Week day lunch with a birthday celebration. Met the need for vegan diet and special occasion with bay/harbor views and exquisite preparation of first course, second course and dessert. Very pleased with French champagne in a generous glass. Truly delightful.
