We celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Greens and it was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was great.
Great place but we didn’t plan on time to park. It took 30 minutes to find parking.
The food & service were very good. But @ the end of the meal we (2 of us) requested separate checks. We were informed we could figure it out ourselves, they wouldn’t do that. ??? I’ve never been told that in a restaurant before. I think this is poor customer service.
The food is tasty, good quality, creative and overall delicious. One of my favorite places to dine.
The main problem was that the menu was so appealing we ordered too much. Staff was great. Food was delish and the view can’t be beat.
Great lunch experience. Excellent unique food and wonderful service.
Waitress forgot the birthday girl at the end and didn’t bring dessert with candle
THE best food, service, ambience, and parking you can find in San Francisco IMHO. ^^
Green's has a long and well-deserved history of excellent food, efficient service and a beautiful site.
Inconsistent, unfortunately. Our two entrees were just so-so, at $30 each. Yet our appetizers were complex, layered, surprising, exciting! The rolls were steamy, crunchy, and tender.
We’re confused. Beautiful location, and lovely ambiance.
Over all those years The Greens has held up to its standard of exceptional feed and setting.
Everyone at Greens made our 45th anniversary dinner exceedingly special. Our server was especially delightful and very helpful in accommodating our vegan requests. We have been dining at Greens for decades and every experience has been exceptional.
We took very reluctant meat eaters and they cant wait to go back! Highly recommend.
Great place for lunch on a beautiful day. Food is always fresh, tasty and healthy.
Shared multiple plates between three people so we could experience much of the menu. Johnny cakes were the star of the night but everything was flavorful and inventive.
We were visiting from out of state and found this restaurant outstanding! The food was created beautifully and everything was delicious!
Greens always surprises you with how seasonally-good and imaginative 'California Vegetarian' fare can be. But then you aren't surprised because it's Greens, after all, and everything is always splendid at Greens.
The service is outstanding as well - notably by Heather.
Good draft beer as well, and interesting cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
Over seasoned roasted potatoes, overall brunch food was just ok & a bit on pricey side.
Back after 2 years - still amazing
Fantastic view, friendly accommodating staff, excellent menu and fabulous flavors in every bite!
We were a party of four for a birthday lunch and were very pleased to get a window table at one end of the room. We were also able to prop window open for more fresh air. High ceilings and open door also contribute to feeling pretty safe dining indoors there. For appetizers we shared a carrot-ginger soup, scones, and baba ghanoush. The soup and strawberry scones with preserves and fresh butter were especially tasty. My entree - sourdough pancakes with stone fruit and creme fraiche -- was really delicious. For dessert we shared a light, airy watermelon granita and a dense, rich chocolate pot de creme. Excellent service and a lovely birthday celebration.
We’ve come here a lot over the years and love it. We brought visiting family here and service was a little hit and miss this time. The server spilled the nice wine we brought on all four people being served and we receiving under cooked pancakes. They rushed a new order and everything else was amazing as usual.
Lovely seats at the window, the best views of the city and from elegant cocktails and appetizers to wonderful deserts , really superb food, great service , it was all wonderful
Still great after all these years! Food was excellent and location is iconic!
The whole experience was a delight. The food that the chef is preparing was exquisite. It could not have been a more perfect evening.
The food was excellent as was the service.
Wonderful gourmet vegetarian food. We are never disappointed with this restaurant. Sat outside due to COVID, so ambiance not as great as usual inside. But food and service impeccable and worth the price. Hoping to return soon.
Portions are more generous than before
Wonderful views, food and service. Pandemic requirements simple. I would not eat outside, lose view. Allowed adequate time at table, no rushing.
Loved this place! All the food was AMAZING…My daughter ordered the Moqueca and it nearly brought tears to our eyes! Service was excellent. Will return soon!
Kid was screaming next to us and too loud in outdoor setting. Food was great!
Beautiful space with a view, easy parkig. Fresh seasonal dishes highlighting fantastic produce.
The outdoor seating during Covid is great, even without the view of the Bay. It's wind- and sun-protected and the tables are sufficiently spaced out. I felt much more comfortable outside than inside the gorgeous dining room, where tables were very close together and with everyone's masks off -- during these Delta variant times -- I would have felt a bit too exposed inside (all this despite the requirement to show proof of vaccination, which is a great assurance). As for the food, it wasn't as memorable as I recall it being 5, 15, 20 years ago, which is about how often I visit Greens. Perhaps this was just the brunch menus, which resembled other brunch menus around town; the food was neither as unique no as farm-fresh as I remember it being on past visits. Our server was excellent, even despite a few mishaps in the kitchen. And paid parking in the Fort Mason complex is plentiful, even during Sunday brunch time when the farmers market was still in session.
The food was good, but not great. So often, the entrees are overspiced. That is why the brochettes that Green's used to serve were my favorite. So sorry they are no longer on the menu.
The service was excellent, wait time was minimal.
I wish more of the dishes could be made vegan.
The food here was magnificent, as always. I felt the service was a little off, but I want to give everyplace a lot of room to work out the kinks in these difficult days of not-quite-back from COVID. We ate outdoors because we had an infant with us, and the outdoor space is very nice -- not gorgeous like the dining room, but pretty enough. We were there for a birthday/bon voyage brunch, and every dish was exceptional -- pupusas, eggs, black bean chili, a couple of different salads. Only the sourdough pancakes were good enough but not great. Everything else: great.
Greens is one of my favorite places to dine. The food is always fresh and beautifully prepared. They are very vegan friendly. The view from the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. The outdoor space is lovely. The staff is reliably accommodating, friendly and efficient.
The food was wonderful and artfully prepared and presented.
Greens is always great. Fresh, seasonal vegetarian food that always pleases.
Honestly, anything you order is great. We ordered a few plates and they did not disappoint.
Every dish we had was delicious. We started out with the cucumber lemon salad and the baby lettuce salad which were beautifully dressed with tomatoes that were the most perfect a tomato could be. We shared the falafel platter which came with three falafel balls, so was perfect for the three of us. The fig and arugula pizza was interesting and everyone thought that was our favorite dish, although they were all great. We finished with the cardamom cake and the fruit crisp. Service was friendly and attentive and I love that they were checking vaccination cards.
The view of the Golden Gate bridge is an added bonus. Cocktails were refreshing and interesting. Food was beautifully plated. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.
