Amazing views at sunset. The food was outstanding. Service was super friendly, although a little slow.
The food and view were fantastic. Our server disappeared after dropping our entrees, never checked in again until well after the busser had cleared our plates. Unusual for Greens. Other than that, it was superb and we'll continue to dine there.
Overall, the food looked really good BUT the chef was heavy handed on the salt. The salad was salty and so was my main dish
We had a delightful birthday dinner. It was so good to be back to Greens. I have been a regular customer for 39 years.
I go to Greens every year for my birthday. They’re one of the few vegetarian restaurants in the Bay Area with great ambiance. It’s such a treat having more than a couple items to choose from on a menu! All of their dishes are delicious and artfully plated.
Greens has lost it’s soul. Too many chief changes. The presentation was sloppy. The menu was greatly reduced.
The food-pea shoots & other greens were pulled from the ground. Steamed & thrown onto the plate.
Classic ambiance with healthy and light food. Spectacular view of the water. Sit by the window!
What a wonderful experience. Great service, warm environment, excellent food. I can’t wait to return.
Short of staff. Limited menu during Sunday lunch. We had a reservation but we still needed to wait for 15 minutes when there were empty tables available.
Great service and food. My only request would be that they bring back the Chai Latte. An Excellent vegetarian restaurant. Perhaps the best in San Francisco. And there’s plenty of parking.
Great food, delightful outdoor seating, pleasant weight staff, Maître d' with the same name as my son. All good.
Wonderful birthday dinner, incredible and friendly service, many vegan options, extremely fresh and seasonal LOVE this place can’t recommend enough, just go!
The service was outstanding. From the moment you walk in until you leave you are made to feel welcome and your patronage is appreciated. The food is awesome and most items can be prepared vegan.
This restaurant is one of the best vegetarian/vegan restaurants I’ve been to since I became a vegan 3 years ago! The food was beyond amazing and the service was even better. Our server Scott was very friendly and recommended amazing dishes for us to order. Even the food runners/bussers were friendly. Overall, we had an amazing experience and we will be recommending Greens to everyone we know!
The food on this visit was not up to Greens’ usual standards.
It was a sunny balmy day in SF, 70 degrees!
Eating on the outside patio felt heavenly.
Food and service were excellent as usual.
Will it help to deflect the wind tunnel effect of an occasional breeze? How about a solid see through panel (similar to the roof material) be placed on the two short ends of the oblong gazebo, with entrance/exit on the long side of the gazebo instead of the short ends?
Olivia was great!
They have significantly shortened the menu and don't have nearly the choices they used to have. Very disappointing
Consistently one of the best restaurants in SF! Amazingly friendly staff (Joshua is fantastic!).
Delicious, ethically produced and imaginative food. Careful service and great views. The expanded vegan options are amazing - whether you keep a vegan diet or not.
Wonderful lunch spot. View beautiful. Food delicious! Our server was very sweet but a bit inexperienced.
Greens never disappoints. It offers fine food in a stunning setting.
The meals were delicious, and there was huge variety. The starters were the perfect size and DELICIOUS. We ordered more of them even after we finished the meal. While the menu is relatively small, everything was done really really well. The deserts were amazing. The little bakery on the side is a cute touch. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Our dinner was absolutely amazing. The service was phenomenal. We started with, and loved, the Johnny cakes, spring rolls, and grilled peaches. I’m vegan but my sister and mom are not so the restaurant made adjustments so we were all happy. Many menu items are “vegan possible” which was great. My entree was the summer vegetable curry. It was substantial and tasted like perfection. To top it off was the delicious vegan friendly dessert. I can’t wait to go back.
Excellent food and good service.
This was for eating outdoors on a really windy day. No plastic barriers on the prevailing wind direction.
That made the experience not as enjoyable as it could have been.
Not space indoors to move too.
I wanted to introduce my vegetarian-becoming granddaughter to a really special experience. Greens did not disappoint. It was wonderful to come back after so many months and my granddaughter loved it. We shared a number of starters, a main dish (the vegetarian curry) and the cardamom cake dessert. All we’re up to Green’s legendary quality and the service was great.
We chose to sit outside and our wait staff was very caring about moving the heat lamps closer to us. Unfortunately it was very windy and we had to put on our coats to sit outside even with the heat lamps. Had we known that the indoor seating was so wide open and the windows were open, we would have requested indoors; however the reservations were full so it was not possible to change our seating. We were very impressed about how attentive and caring our waiter was (tall guy with Russian-like accent. sorry I didn't get his name) and although cold when we finished, we enjoyed our meal.
I have like bed in San Francisco since 1985. Over the years I had heard of Greens but never visited the restaurant. What a mistake! This place is really special, along every dimension you can imagine. I’ll be back.
My vegetarian daughter’s birthday. This was a great choice!!!
Excellent food, service and prices. Enjoyed everything I tried.
Food was superb and the service friendly.
Excellent food in a calming and natural environment overlooking the water. Blueberry cheesecake is outstanding!!
First time back since the pandemic lockdown, and it was better than ever! We went for lunch and sat outside (vaccinated but still being careful). I had the peach salad, the babaganoush (sp?), and the Johnny Cakes with salad. My friend also had the peach salad, and had the eggplant sandwich. For dessert, I had the trifle and she had the chocolate mousse. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. Special shout-out to the perfect peaches. Our server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Of course the ambience of Fort Mason and the walk we took along the water afterward only added to the whole experience. A really lovely dining experience in every way!
The food was even better than what we remembered from the past time we ate there
Besides the food, the best part was the view of seals gamboling in the water.
We had 5:30 reservation and were #2 in line when we arrived at 5:00 and requested a window table. The hostess seated the first twosome at 5:30 at table for 4 in middle along window. For some reason our waitress seated us at a table near the back wall. Although by the window one of us facing the wall. I objected but didn’t get anywhere. The hostess seated all the next customers at the better locations even though we had been second in line. That experience ruined the ambiance for me right from the start.
Food was fresh and good but $29 is a lot of money for a plate of vegetables. I know a lot of care & labor went into it and it did have unique flavor. Person I was with was less pleased with her entree as she paid a high price for a plate spaghetti noodles. We enjoyed splitting soup & bread which was excellent and affordable. We may return on special occasions but Greens is too pricey for frequent visits.
I always enjoy dining at Greens whether its brunch, lunch or dinner.
It has a great atmosphere and feels organic and healthy. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The food is always delicious and well presented. I have never had a bad experience there and will always be a loyal patron.
Appetizers were delicious, got polenta for entree which was great as well
