   Not too friendly . I reserved and hoped to have a good experience and be seated by the window . We reserved with my family and celebrate mother’s day today, my family and I get there and we get greeted . But then the waitress sits us by the middle part of the restaurant and felt crowded since I was with my baby . I asked if I could be moved to a table by the window , since there was one available. The waitress said no there is no table . I told her if we could please be moved to one and she said are you willing to risk not being able to order because the kitchen is closing soon and we might not have time if we wait for a table . I told her that was not in the reservation that we had to be in a rush because your kitchen is closing soon. Her tone was not Pleasant and that was rude to say to us as guest . I sat at the table but I felt unhappy when it was supposed to be me celebrating Mother’s Day and I clearly said it in the reservation but clearly they don’t care . My server comes to take our order then I told him please may I be moved to another table I reserved here to have a good time for mothers day with my family , and enjoy the view if we could move by the window I don’t want to sit here . He said he would see what he could do and comes back kinda annoyed and says “ you can sit at the corner table “ I said thank you . After that we felt like we weren’t really welcomed . They didn’t even acknowledge Mother’s Day to me and looked like they are all in a bad mood . It was not a pleasant experience. My husband still left them a nice tip but it was a 1 star experience.

   Vegetables felt like they were just picked from the garden in an expansive sunlit waterfront setting. From appetizers through desert everything was light and rich flavor all at once: exquisitely delicious.

   Always a visual delight to eat at Green‘s especially around sunset with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The dishes were beautifully prepared, flavorful as well as healthy. Our server was professional and attentive.

   We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a delicious meal and kind and attentive service. Every part of our meal experience was outstanding, but the black sesame mousse dessert stood out above it all. How often has food made YOU cry? Thank you for continuing to be one of SF’s food treasures!!!

   We hadn’t been to Greens in many years and were excited to go for a celebration They have us a separate little room which was lovely and where we could watch the sunset The menus said - Happy Birthday which was lovely The drinks and food were not up to what we remember of Greens There was an OUTSTANDING beet dish! There were many dishes we tried we all felt were “interesting” but we did not really enjoy them Honestly it will be a very long time before we return - if ever Perhaps it’s time has just passed? The value for what was charged was particularly galling It was a $400 dinner for 5 and not a meal that was worthy of that price point It was sadly a disappointment as we had been very excited to come again

   Fabulous food. Great cocktails and wine list. Good service as place was packed. Easy access and parking options. A place non vegetarians should go as it is a very good substitute for heavy meats and carbs. Great pasta, salad, starters, main dishes and desserts to die for. A total “be back” for us. Also, great view of the Golden Gate Bridge from a window table.

   Firstly, I did tell Open Table that we were celebrating a wedding anniversary and we were so pleasantly surprised to find our menus with “Happy Anniversary “ across the top. We were a table of 4 all vegan and the server did write this down. The corn bread was so good however initially real butter was served instead of vegan butter (which apparently they didn’t have). Because of the error, they took that off the bill). The soup of the day and the dal were amazing. The entrees were all excellent. We were brought champagne also as a gift and the dessert matcha yuzu cake was outstanding. Everything other than the butter error was perfect. Our server was excellent and it was a quite relaxed and fun experience! You will love Greens especially if you are vegetarian but it’s also great for vegans.

   This was always my favorite SF restaurant for both the location and food. Location remains stellar but the food has turned ordinary. When the top food recommendation from the waiter is the pizza, that tells you something. What happened to the imaginative veg food that spawned cookbooks and pilgrimages? Desperately in need of a new chef
