The meal was exquisite. Our server was exquisite. She added a lot to our “first date” in over a year. The view was exquisite. Kudos!
It was nice to be back in this beautiful airy dining room with views of the Golden Gate Bridge! There were few inside diners on a Friday lunchtime as many were dining in the outside parklet which was a bit breezy. The menu was as remembered although I felt the food had a few errors. The delicious black bean soup was barely warm and the beet salad, way too salty. Hope they get their groove back and do justice to the fresh organic produce and seasonal vegetarian dishes that they specialize in. It is usually one of my favorite restaurants and I recommend it.
What a wonderful experience. I will be back again soon.
A bit windy out on the patio! Impeccable service. My new go-to vegan restaurant near the Golden Gate Bridge 🌉
Wonderful inventive sodas and delicious vegetarian meals.
So happy to be back at Greens. Wonderful menu, ambiance, wine selection. Great for vegetarians and vegans too. One of our favorites.
Celebrating friend’s birthday ... outdoor seating was great with her little dog. Dog enjoyed the area also!
We had a great lunch on Tuesday! We hadn't been to Greens in maybe 4-5 years and it was as good as ever. We sat outside (we requested) so missed the amazing views but our server was awesome (tall guy w/ short darkish hair and glasses). The manager/sommelier was super nice too. Everything from the potato/cauliflower soup to the amazing salads and the camaroni pasta to the mouse cake and tea service were just outstanding! Yay Greens for making consistently delicious food for all these years. My first visit was maybe 28 years ago:)
Second time I have been to Greens in three months. I don’t think I will be going back.
Chose to sit inside this time. My friend and I were seated in the back of the back room and then forgotten.
Service was very slow, We had to find people and ask for everything.
Food was bland. It all looks great in concept but was tasteless and boring, with an exception to the cheese biscuit with herbed butter, that was delicious.
This place was so awesome back in the day. Definitely not worth the time or hassle.
We eat Sunday brunch/lunch. Had a wonderful table and a great server. The food was different and delicious. They also make a great cappuccino. We would go back in a heartbeat.
The outdoor seating was just perfect. They day was clear, sunny. The seating arrangements were excellent to meet the COVID guidelines. As always the menu was very good and the food as well. It was a small birthday celebration and the attention to the guest of honor was perfect. I will again frequent Greens.
The food was fresh, colorful, seasonal and delicious. The service was impeccable. On the advice of a friend, we switched our reservation from outside to inside seating because one of the reasons you go to Greens is for the view and that is only available from inside tables. This was easy to do via Open Table. Inside the tables are spaced well apart and there is a fairly stringent mask mandate, which we appreciated. Highly recommended. Consider going for brunch on Sunday so you can partake in the lively and beautiful weekly farmers market.
Excellent service, as always, and a consistently delicious menu.
We felt safe eating inside. The tables were well separated and low capacity of patrons. The food was delicious as expected!
Food here is always excellent, even for us carnivores. Service is fine and views are extraordinary.
Was much better before the pandemic. IDK what’s going on with the staff now, but the service was so bad I had to get up and go to the front to ask for my check. This makes me really sad, I used to love this place.
Fabulous food and amazing sunset of GG bridge
This was a bucket list restaurant for me. Living with a bunch of carnivores I had to pull some strings to get them to join me for dinner. My family was fairly good natured about it but there were some funny moments when they discussed loudly, their favorite restaurants for meat. Anyway, I was hoping that the food would really knock their socks off and convert them to the occasional all veg restaurant meal. Unfortunately, we were all super disappointed. Between the 4 of us we ordered 9 different dishes and there was not one thing we really enjoyed or any of us would go back for. The salt level was super high and the flavor did not match it. The service was fine but pretty slow. This might have been due to our location outside in the parking lot but still we felt a little ignored. Also felt the $$ to be pretty high for the quality. Our bill came to $230 for four for food only. I may try it again because I just can't believe our experience is the norm but I'll leave the carnivores at home.
Greens is an excellent choice for vegetarians, with enough vegan options. The location and the views are one-of-a-kind.
Excellent dining and exciting food experience. View of the marina is beautiful and charming. Attentive service and great atmosphere.
I have not visited Greens in many years. The food was wonderful and the setting as beautiful as ever. We are so glad that Greens has survived the pandemic and look forward to dining with you again . Thank you !
The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect with a back drop of the Golden Gate Bridge. The all vegetarian menu made is easy to order even for the vegans in our group. Service was great and everyone really wanted to make our experience a nice one. I would highly recommend eating here.
Greens is the perfect combination of atmosphere and food. Plus, it's practically the only restaurant in SF where you don't have to shout across the table. One of my favorite places!
Ambience is amazing.
Food is not worth the value
They should definitely reconsider improving the menu and it's taste
The restaurant’s interior was gorgeous when we walked in & we were looking forward to a great experience. However, our first interaction with our waitress Chloe, and every interaction thereafter, was unpleasant. The food was also subpar. I’ve been told the food there is incredible so this could’ve been because of changes and limitations due to covid.
Inventive food, great views, great service. Had a great experience.
Green's is the jewel of San Francisco Bay Dining. The food and generous portions are uniquely outstanding. The staff is always gracious and helpful. And oh, those views of the gorgeous Bay, sailboards and drifting clouds, families playing on the bright lawns, a beautiful joyful experience!
Great location and food quality.
The service was great.
The portions are so large that none of the meals could be finished. Lower the prices and reduce the amount of food.
Also, the drip coffee is terrible.
It was a cloudy day but it felt cozy and safe to do indoor dining at the restaurant. Also, the hostess was very friendly and the service was very prompt and the food very delicious for brunch.
Our favorite place to take out of town guests -- once they are allowed again to visit! We had lunch as we were picking up food for a Easter gathering. Same great food as usual
although some dishes were spicier than I was expecting. So if you are sensitive to chili spiciness, better ask perhaps to tone down for you.
Great service and great Food !!!
I ll comeback for sure
This is a favorite restaurant of ours and has been for some time. The food is fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere and service are great also.
It was wonderful to be back at Green's.
It was impossible to understand the speech of the person who seated us and explained the menu. I imagine the mask had something to do with it, but it was frustrating and unpleasant. Otherwise, atmosphere and food just outstanding. I didn't give 5 stars for ambience because it's more fun when more people are there. Nothing you can do about this.
Food was good, but not outstanding. I suppose I was expecting more considering the rave reputation that Greens has in the SF community. I have some friends who have lived in SF for several decades and they always have said great things about Greens. I just wasn't blown away by the food; it wasn't as special of a treatment of vegetables as I was hoping for. The ambiance was really great though -- you can't beat that location by the water! We sat at the covered patio and it was nice and warm and not too windy that evening. The service was a little odd in that we kept being checked on if we had ordered, and we had not had our order taken. The hostess ended up taking our order which was weird. Our waiter just seemed very cheerful, but a bit all over the place. If they had special COVID protocols for clearing our table, it wasn't ever communicated to us but our waiter acted very odd to us, as if we were doing something wrong by trying to move empty plates closer to the edge of the table for her to access easily. I tipped her a normal amount but I really wanted to tip her less because of how off the service was. For a nearly $200 dinner, I expected a lot more. Unless I am specifically at Fort Mason, and there aren't any other good options around, I'm not sure I would eat there again.
Hadn’t been there for 10 years, food still impresses. Came for lunch, reasonable price and an excellent meal
Scott, our sever, was extraordinary! We loved him! Our food and service were excellent!
Greens has been our go to for celebrations for our adult daughter since she became a vegetarian in her early teens. Unit hazmat never disappointed and impressed us with their continued creativity.
Beautiful view of the bay while lunching on excellent seasonal food with a very knowledgeable server. The highlights for us were the spring rolls and the lemon Myers cheese cake but nothing disappointed us.
I always loved Green’s and, until the pandemic, dined there frequently. However, the restaurant has not been the same since its kitchen fire. They must have lost their chef. Sunday’s meal was really sad. The grilled artichokes were tough and almost tasteless. The stem had not even been peeled. My asparagus pizza was nothing like the old version, really a disappointment. Both it and my husband’s briyani had substituted heat for flavor. I am so sad, but I will not go back. Had the meal been good, I would not complain about the cost, but $200 before tip seems high with one couple splitting an entree and only 2 drinks and 2 desserts. Really, this is a big loss to San Francisco’s dining scene.
Unmatched in quality, taste, location and service!
