Sadie number 1 🙏❤️
Food excellent, server knowledgeable and gave good advice, view was fantastic, out-of-town guests loved it
Food was good. Service was okay. Table wasn't ready on time and the food is pricey, but good vegetarian food and many vegan options.
More vegan options would be awesome. But, besides that the meal was wonderful.
It was a special night for my vegan daughter, as she was turning 21 the next day. She had delightful choices on the menu, not just one thing, but several! The ambiance was just right, with the sun going down and the colors changing. The servers were very attentive and thoughtful, the neighboring table even joined in the subtle singing of the requisite birthday song. It couldn't have been lovelier.
I requested a table next to the window and even thought they had tables available for some reason I didn’t get one :/
Loved it here. Breathtaking views. Food was outrageously good. Service was excellent. Place is huge but didn’t feel crowded or noisy. Lots of space in between tables, and beautiful calming decor.
Venerable vegetarian that is fresh and vibrant, with a spectacular view.
Girlfriend is a avid vegetarian so I treated her to a valentines atone of the highest rated all vegetarian places in town and she was ecstatic the entire time. Lovely service from our water Seth and the food was delicious.
Everything about it was superb including the view of the bay, the yachts and the shifting weather patterns. We shared 2 salads and a main course and it was plenty and each dish was spectacular. Our waitress was informative, professional and truly elevated our experience. She heard that 21 years ago that day, I had had my wedding celebration at Greens, and so she brought a little champagne for us to have a toast. Totally a class act and would highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back !
We had a seat by the window and it was lovely with stormy clouds over the water. It seems like Greens used to have more entree choices. The number of choices was very limited and not very interesting.
Valentine's Day prixe fix menu was absolutely wonderful and the accompanying cocktails were superb. The jazz band was great, too. So glad my partner and I came here and we'll definitely be back!
We went on Valentine's day and they had a prefix menu. The entrees were bland and my wife didn't eat her's at all. The desserts were very good. Overall ambiance was great.
Bottom line, service was pleasant but very very slow. It took forty-five minutes to get our wine and that was after I asked another waiter to please bring it to the table. We were seated at 1:45 and did not leave until shortly after 4pm. When I mentioned to waiter that it seemed they were short on servers, he said they did not expect a large crowd for lunch. This was Valentin's Day. Give me a break!
Very dissapointed with slow service considering the long reputation of Green's.
We love this restaurant! Always so fresh with an array of creative dishes.
Greens is such a lovely restaurant. The food was perfect (especially the Warren pear salad) and the service was fine as it always is. The views are wonderful -- even on a stormy day -- and this was just the right spot for Valentine's Day lunch. The chestnut fettuccini was very good. I loved the butterscotch pot de creme. The carrot cake was very light and a little lackluster although I did love the curl of caramelized carrot.
We had an early reservation on a rainy night and the restaurant felt so cozy and elegant. We tried the spring roll, little gems salad and sunchoke salad for starters and the butternut squash curry and fettuccine dish. For dessert we had the sorbet trio and carrot cake. Everything was delicious! Our service was attentive without being overbearing. The view from our window table was enchanting. Can’t give Greens enough stars!
The food was nice and the server was friendly. Very few vegan options.
We asked for a table at the window when we made the reservation. When we arrived, the hostess looked up our reservation, seemed to take note of it, then sat us in the center of the restaurant.
Greens never disappoints and in fact, I believe it's gotten better over time. We had absolutely excellent service - warm, friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. The food choices were extensive for lunch and the quality of the food was excellent. I highly recommend it!
Green's is one of my go-to places for lunch, especially with guests from out of town. It is little bit expensive for frequent lunches, but once a month works. I have been back to Green's twice since they reopened after their fire, and I am not happy. The menu is different, no seasonal sampler...which was always my favorite. The other entrees are less healthy. And now they have added goat cheese to their amazing asparagus pizza....not a fan. Also I had a roasted sunchoke salad with burrata, fennel and sunflower sprouts. The burrata was mixed in with the greens and was really overwhelming. I ended up just picking the sunchokes out and eating those. Maybe the chef left after the fire..... Hoping for improvement.
This is the first time that we have had a poor meal at Greens.
My friends ordered asparagus pizzas. They were covered with red pepper flakes. The menu had not alerted them to the fact that they would be spicy. One of them suffered through; the other one ate bread and butter instead.
I ordered some kind of potato dumplings. I did not care for them, but they were the only thing on the menu that I thought that I might like. They were served with a slaw that was also a bit spicy, but I could eat it.
Our server did not crack a smile; nor did she ever ask if everything was all right.
I also had to ask twice for a second cup of coffee.
Quick service, almost too fast. Great food and wine.
My guest ordered a semi dry white wine. When it arrived, the glass was 30% full and we felt that at $9 that was not the acceptable. The wine also did no meet expectations, so we spoke to our waiter, who brought 2 shot glasses with 2 additional wines to choose to from, which she did. The wineglass came back
Half full as it should have been in the first place.
We left very pleased with everything and I returned 2 nights later for another delicious meal.
Whenever I’m in the Fort Mason area, Greens is always a special treat for lunch. My family and friends have been doing this for years!!! Thanks for continuing to provide a comfortable, delicious dining experience.
Excellent food. The vegetarian food is top notch. The staff was very accommodating even when I ended up coming to the reservation late. This was my second time coming here and I loved it just as much as the first time.
Went for my daughter's 22nd birthday with a group that was vegetarian and vegan. They can make most items on the menu vegan and some items vegan. We all really enjoyed our food and the service
One of the best places in SF for fine vegan / vegetarian dining. Location is convenient, with spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge and plenty of parking. Wide range of creatively designed, well-executed dishes, reasonably priced. Service was very friendly and accommodating, though perhaps a bit disorganized at times - e.g., servers couldn't match orders to guests. All in all a delightful dining experience highly recommended.
Yes, a vegetarian's dream! The food was amazing. Our waiter was great, but when he discovered we weren't ordering drinks, things felt rushed.
This is truly a San Francisco gem..... I forgot how much we missed it now that we live 3 hours away. Leisurely meal and great views and conversation. The salad could have use a bit if blue cheese!
I’ve been going to Greens for years, and was really disappointed this time. It took 50 minutes to get our food. We sat down at 12:45pm. After she finally dropped off our food (no apology for the delay) our waitress did not come back for another 20 min. There were only ‘brunch’ offerings (mostly what I consider breakfast fare). The humus plate I got was uninspired, though my daughter’s French toast was good. There were several children (8-9 years old) literally running back and forth through the length of the restaurant—they must have passed us over 12 times. No one said a word or asked them to stop.
The setting of Greens and the service was fine. Of the 8 of us for lunch, the two who ordered soup on the cold day were happy with their choice. The rest of us would have liked to have had other food choices.
I like the place. We always go there. This time service wasn,t good. Still I tipped the waitress well.
The menu can be more various.
As for the price, it is a bit too high.
We had a table seating at 8:45 and felt rushed by the server the whole time rather than a leisurely dining experience. I was disappointed that I made a reservation for a special night and we felt like we couldn't spend enough time enjoying the meal without being rushed out of the restaurant. This was on a Friday night.
I’m not sure how “hidden” this gem is these days but it is certainly always a 5 star experience from drinks to dinner to desert this is a seamlessly delicious evening. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable and the ambiance could not possibly be any better.
Fabulous as always.
The Greens Restaurant has become our favorite in San Francisco. Great view of the bay, unpretentious ambiance and excellent vegetarian and vegan dishes.
I would recommend it if they want a nice dining experience with a great view. Not very much in vegan choices, although they did accommodate my dietary restrictions. I would not recommend if you are vegan.
The portabello mushroom sandwich with side salad was delicious!
just couldn’t have been better.
After living in Sausalito for 15 years... there is no way that I can go back to SF WITHOUT going to Greens for lunch w my girlfriends!! Our fav our favorite place to go!!!!
