Delicious perfectly cooked lamb chops and excellent service - bread toasted perfectly. The prix fixed dinner menu is awesome. Can’t wait to go back !
The fixed-price dinner goes up often and now at a price point that no longer makes it a value. Worse, many entrees in the fixed-price dinner cost an additional $10-$15, taking the total bill way over the top for what used to be an affordable restaurant.
Greenhouse Cafe Restaurant Week menu did not disappoint! I love this menu, which is available for a limited time each summer. For $42, a true value, I had a complete dinner consisting of appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage. I had: eggplant rollatine, dijon-crusted rack of lamb (served with mint jelly) accompanied by a baked potato and vegetables (a real treat!), warm apple strudel and coffee.
The meal was scrumptious. I loved every bite. Our waiter was nice - and even took a picture of my boyfriend and myself. Great place for a special occasion (we were celebrating our anniversary). Stay late for the live entertainment.
Service was great, accommodating one guest's medical dietary restrictions with respect and attention to detail. Food was beautifully prepared and very flavorful. Overall pleasant experience.
Sunday at noon and you have 11 people, the staff at the Greenhouse never has a problem with groups. The service is always tops, Peter is always nice and takes care of you like you are Family. The Brunch is always very good with several unlimited cocktails, soup or salad and than your main course. Several of us asked for Eggs Benadit and everyone came out just right. You wont go wrong here.
Didn't like the limitation on Sunday brunch menu! Drinks do keep coming! So if you like to drink verse eating ... then is a okay place
I went there for restaurant week and had the rack of lamb that was good and my friend had penne vodka hers looked good so I returned the following week to have the penne vodka and that was very good
Pasta and ingredients very fresh. Service was excellent. I had pasta ala vodka sauce with shrimp. The pasta and shrimp were both perfectly cooked.
We love the Greenhouse Cafe and have been coming here for years. Brunch, lunch, dinner, baby and bridal showers.. through it all they are accomodating and gracious, with terrific food and very reasonable pricing.
Amazing staff, food and service! I would recommend this location
Good food good price
Nice place beauty back area
Nice brunch special overall I and my group enjoyed and we will go back
Greenhouse can get very crowded with brunch goers and parties at the same time. The food is delicious and the outside room has a beautiful view of a well manicured garden.
If you are seated in the main dining room, the noise from the bar (blender mostly) can be loud. Although, the service is better in the main dining room. There are only two bathrooms and this becomes overwhelmed quickly if there is more than one party in the restaurant.
Overall, it is a good experience and the food is delicious. I will also say both party areas are beautiful and worth the value of the packages offered.
Staff was most accomadating. No rushing but very attentive. Would definitely return.
Celebrated 2 dad's at your Father's day brunch and had a wonderful time. Service was excellent and the food was great. We were seated promptly and were well cared for throughout our meal. Never felt rushed to leave. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
My family and I decided to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday. We had a 215 reservation and since some family was traveling in from Long Island, the hostess was very accommodating in moving our reservation until everyone arrived.
The manager was also very nice and allowed us to take part in the brunch menu, which was delicious. Our waitress was very accommodating, even to my 11 year old daughter, who is as picky as they come. Her patience was wonderful and much appreciated.
I do have some complaints about the space offered per table. We were given a table and the tightness of it made it feel like an extra table in the room. We were facing the bar, and glass rack - during brunch - so you can imagine Pina Colada blending for our meal was not something we were interested in, at all. We were also guilty of ordering a virgin Pina Colada, so some of it was our fault! The restaurant was crowded with parties in all three rooms, so I understand. The bathroom situation definitely needs work as you have to enter both party rooms to use either of the facilities. It can be uncomfortable when a line falls during a party in another room.
Overall, we had a wonderful meal - I recommend the Brunch Menu Steak and Eggs and the delicious Mimosas.
I have been to Greenhouse Cafe many times and have always given it the highest ratings.
Unfortunately, there were 2 parties on either side of my table. The noise level was very loud. Also there weren’t enough servers for the party people and the brunch crowd.
Our waiter seemed new at his job. That usually doesn’t bother me because everyone needs to learn. Although, when added to cold food, long wait times and noise level, it made for an uncomfortable time.
I had the salmon as did my friend. We loved it. My husband had the duck and raved about it.
We love this restaurant. Everything was perfect the service the food, perfection all around.
Got together with friends for brunch. We were seated quickly, received all our courses in perfect timing and enjoyed everything. Will definitely be back!
I had been to this restaurant a couple of days previously for a birthday party and was impressed at the service the environment and the portion sizes. I decided to go back a couple of days later with family and was disappointed at the difference of my second visit. We had to wait at least 20 minutes after sitting down for our waitress to come and ask us if we were ready to order it was very obvious that most of the attention was given to the tables where the parties were taking place at the moment. In addition I had mentioned that I had seen on their website they had a brunch deal and that our family wanted to take advantage of that. They stated that was only on weekdays and not weekends however when I mentioned that was not seen on any place on their website or menu & showed them they did not try to accommodate us at all. I mentioned that the food was great and so were the portion sizes so despite being disappointed my family and I decided to move forward and go with the dinner menu which was $46 per person. yet again I was shocked when the food came and the portion sizes were half of what they were when I was there a couple of days before. It was truly ridiculous and not worth it at al. After our food came the waitress never came around again to ask if we wanted anything else and I had to stop her while she was attending other tables to ask for dessert and also ask for the check after waiting 20 minutes after we were done eating.I would only recommend attending this restaurant on the weekdays when it's not busy and when you can catch their deals. I would not recommend it on the weekend due to the lack of service and small portion sizes for the prices.
Wonderful atmosphere, attentive and very personable staff, excellent food with generous portions!
I have been going for years and I have never been disappointed! Pete is the greatest.
We went for brunch on the weekend. Food and drinks were delicious. Our waiter was outstanding; very attentive and helpful. You get an appetizer, entree and dessert . I had eggs with bacon ham and sausage. The chocolate brownie was delicious. It was a great place for a fun birthday celebration. I would recommend this restaurant . We all enjoyed our meals.
My wife and I met friends at Greenhouse Café on Sunday, March 31. Our friend are from out of town. While my wife and I are from Brooklyn, we had never frequented the Greenhouse Café. We made a wise choice. The brunch was outstanding, the four of us were happy with our meals and with the ambience. Our server was outstanding. An extra bonus was unlimited cocktails from the brunch menu. We spent a very pleasurable couple of hours, quite satisfied with our choice of venue. I strongly recommend the Greenhouse Café.
The Greenhouse is our family staple in Bay Ridge. We've celebrated many events here including birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and retirements. Our entire family is always very satisfied with the relaxing environment, friendly staff, and delicious food. Last night three generations of my family had dinner here and we all had a wonderful time. The penne vodka is so satisfying and is my go to order. I definitely recommend a stop by if you're in the neighborhood!
I’ve been to the Greenhouse Cafe many times for dinner, but this was the first time for brunch.
The menu had 3 courses plus breads & muffins on the table. They offered 4 types of unlimited drinks.
Brunch was just as delicious & fresh as I expect from Greenhouse.
Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious!!!!
It was a nice first. Me and my family really enjoyed our brunch!!! Service, food and value were awesome. Definitely going back!!!
The food was excellent and the wait staff friendly. The band they had that night was very good. But the prices got raised. Although the food was excellent it was NOT worth the price they charged. The atmosphere was beautiful.
Lovely meal for a larger group. The sunroom was nice. Could’ve done without the karaoke, but it did provide for some laughs. Food was very good.
This restaurant had a beautiful ambiance, the food was good. I had the shrimp scampi and it was a larfe portion and I couldn't finish it all. The bread was so tasty that we asked for seconds. The french onion soup was great. I absolutely love the chocolate cheesecake. It was a really great experience.
Good comfort food at reasonable price with good service. I've been there a number of times over many years and never disappointed.
The restaurant is fine, the food tastes good and the service is quite fast. I was just surprised that the restaurant only accepts cash, money order or certified check. I'm not sure if that is the policy everyday or just on the night that we ate there which happened to be on Jan 1st. I don't normally carry cash with me and of course, I don't have a certified check or money order handy. Good thing, that I have some cash in my wallet or we won't be able to pay for the meal and one of us have to go outside and take cash from an ATM. If this is their policy, they should say so on their website, or on Yelp so that customers are ready. Otherwise, the experience was overall good.
I hadn’t been to Greenhouse Cafe in about two year (don’t know why!). We went with family... 8 of us. The server was lovely and she was knowledgeable. I had forgotten about their prix fixe dinner. $42 pp. Amazing what selections were included such as twin lobster tails, surf and turf, strip steak, rack of lamb, fish, etc., and great apps, including shrimp cocktail! This included dessert and coffee or tea. The room was noisy, and while it was their back room facing the garden, the acoustics were poor. No biggie! We were there for hours, enjoying espresso and cappuccino (not on the prix fixe) with bottles of Sambuca and Annisette on the table. They offer a wonderful brunch on weekends. There is a band on Saturday nights and a full bar, as well. Valet service is also available. We can’t wait to go back! I highly recommended this lovely restaurant!
I had a great time at the Greenhouse Cafe. The atmosphere was wonderful and the greenhouse dining area was unique. There was a view of the greenhouse from large windows anywhere in the restaurant. I took my boyfriend there for brunch and the price is hard to beat for three courses and bottomless beverages in Brooklyn, NY. The only downside to our experience was that we had to wait longer than usual for refills on our beverages. We had to flag down another server to get our drinks.
We had a wonderful time everything was perfect!
Nice place to eat. Sunday brunch is very good. Ambiance is nice. Very pleasant atmosphere. Have eaten here a number of times before.
I live in richmond hill queens most of my friends live in brooklyn I dont mind the drive when it
to come to greenhouse cafe 10 stars if it was possible. I meet with my friends there all the time.
Food is good the atmosphere is inviting cozy. its just good all around.
Even though it was Thanksgiving, the wait for our reserved table was only 10 minutes. Long enough to clean off table, reset and sweep floor around table. Host was amiable, waiter was wonderful, preset holiday menu offered 14 choices. Plenty to pick from for all tastes and the price was very comprable to other restaurants with much small selection choices. Everything was frsh, well prepared and plentiful. No-one was rushed. We were there for almost three hours, enjoying ambiance, food, drnks, dessert and coffee. I would go back in a heartbeat that's how good it was!!
I had my Bridal Proposal here and Lorraine was AMAZING.... She was so helpful, caring and a delight.
