Excellent food and service. Would recommend the brunch and will go again myself.
Beautiful breakfast with wonderful service in a gorgeous bright setting.
Wish the brunch options could be a more selective group choice.
It was my birthday, and I was delighted with the experience! The ambiance, service and food were excellent.
Couldn’t be more perfect! Food, ambiance, service.
Very nice and relaxing place to have breakfast. Lovely setting, staff very courteous, and attentive and we didn't feel rushed at all. I will come back!
I went to the Greenhouse for the first time after many years and was delighted with the service and the food. It was the perfect place for a quiet business breakfast -- and one I will return to!
Wonderful brunch in delightful setting and attentive staff.
Can't wait to go back.
Only criticism is that the chicken and waffles had a puddle of grease at the bottom of the plate. Which in turn caused the waffle to be a tad soggy.
Absolutely beautiful brunch spot! The service was excellent, the food was out of this world, and the ambiance/decor was perfection. Totally would return.
Service staff could be friendlier.
Beautiful setting. Great service and delicious food. A real treat
Exceptional food at a lower brunch price than I expected, and excellent service to boot. In addition, I had to call afterward about a small logistical question and the staff handled it quickly. Great work all around!
We dropped in for a last minute reservation when a different place we tried for brunch was just not happening, on a Sunday morning. The Greenhouse ambience is lovely, it's very peaceful, we had a little corner that was made into a sort of grotto, very private but not isolated. For a restaurant weekend brunch menu, the options are decently tasty. The coffee is very good. We split the croque madame and the stuffed French toast. Both were very good - the croque came with a small tasty salad, and was very well made (do definitely recommend it with the egg on top). The French toast had a lovely blueberry compote. The service is very attentive. I think I've stayed here some time ago (we were in an Airbnb this weekend). I usually do not eat at hotel restaurants, but at least for brunch I think this is a good one, and if you want a place to talk and take your time with someone, the food and service are great, and it's a lot more relaxed and serene than most hot brunch spots.
We had a fine lunch. Service was not as attentive as I have come to expect from previous meals at the Greenhouse.
We had an utterly delightful lunch in the Greenhouse. Our table for two was intimate, set against a charming mural. It was quiet and we were able to talk for hours. There was unobtrusive music, but I didn't notice it until a pause in the conversation. The food was delicious. Altogether a soothing oasis of calm civility and elegance.
The staff, food, and atmosphere were all at the highest quality that one would expected from the Jefferson Hotel. They make dining with friends an enjoyable experience and the valet parking option was a life saver in D.C. Five out of five stars, would dine there again.
Fantastic atmosphere and amazing service!
We truly enjoyed the Sunday brunch at the Jefferson’s Greenhouse.
Would highly recommend it.
I had a lunch event for 14 in the private room. Outstanding service, delicious food. Timing in between courses just right. I would definitely come here again.
Excellent service and delicious food in a beautiful, quiet setting.
What a lovely Sunday lunch experience! We all loved the atmosphere, the food and the service - there's little to add to the hundreds of great reviews of this restaurant-so all I'll do is agree 100% and start looking for another reservation.!
On our 50th anniversary the entire experience was lovely.
Good meals and best service
Everything was nice for the most part. I love the location and the atmosphere. The waiter was very pleasant however I asked him to record my birthday toast and my friends and I were so excited but he apparently didn’t listen and didn’t push the record button. The once in a lifetime toast was unfortunately not captured. And he didn’t check on us often enough. The majority of the time it was the hostess that was attentive to our needs.
Wonderful food, very nice atmosphere. Went for the Brunch and wasn’t disappointed at all! Would highly recommend anyone traveling through to try this place. Very good experience.
Attentive staff definitely a high scale location for brunch.
Great brunch! Staff was very accommodating for our 9 month old.
Lovely restaurant in an even lovelier old hotel has terrific service and is very quiet for easy conversation. Food is okay on the whole but nothing to write home about and certainly not a good value for the money.
We were eating from the brunch menu which is mostly comfort food. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried chicken and waffles. My wife had the avocado toast and it was delicious. The atmosphere is light and airy with istoric Jefferson memorabilia and the room is delightfully quiet - perfect for catching up with a friend who you haven’t seen in a long time. We had a delightful meal!
Most elegant dining environs in the DC area. Great coffee/ latte. Pumpkin soup delicious but should be served with bread.
Would appreciate if restaurant would put more effort into offering Gluten Free dishes.
It was a delightful experience but perhaps suffered slightly from setting expectations a trifle too high, because of the Michelin factor. Were it not for that, the rating would more likely have been 5 Star. Also, the wait staff, while exceedingly gracious & friendly was not quite as attentive as to be expected. Several times, the dining room was sans staff-for example, no way to catch an eye & ask for more coffee etc. because no one was even in sight. Nevertheless it was a delicious meal , a delightful experience. We’ll come again.
Usually love this place, but was a bit disappointed with lunch. Really expensive and the food was not that good. I would definitely come here for brunch again (which is great), but I do not think I would come back for lunch.
Beautiful historic hotel. Great holiday atmosphere and service.
Staying as a guest of hotel
ask for Nilson, he's a good server, for reasons I never understood, they do not comp here and everything is a la carte so I would prepare to tip well. I think the simple dishes seem to be best.
Great location for a quiet lunch. Service was outstanding and the ambiance was pleasing and relaxed.
