The food was delicious, exceptional flavor, and ambiance. It was a special occasion and we were treated like celebrities. Truly a wonderful experience.
A nice drive in the country for a sumptuous Sunday brunch/feast. Mostly simple with a few daring twists. Cheerful staff and a charming place
Loved The food. Steak was the most tender i ever remember eating. Great/attentive wait staff. Went for our anniversary and we were offered a complimentary glass of champagne. Very nice. Beautiful grounds and scenic views. Great place for a wedding or reception.
I enjoy the Sunday Brunch every time and the bloody Mary's are very tasty
I love the feel of this place. Sunday Brunch is always a favorite. Dinner atmosphere is excellent also.
The Easter Buffet was everything we could have asked for and more!
The service is always excellent and I love how they change their menu according to the season! Beef Wellington is always a good choice!
We had Brunch and it was great food, great service, beautiful location, nicely displayed, good selection, good champagne, and a very reasonable price
Incredible, top-notch experience here at Greenbriar, all around. Delectable and artistically presented food, expertly recommended drink pairings, and classy service at every turn. Once in a lifetime experience, I definitely recommend adding this place to your bucket list. You won't be disappointed!
We have been dining at the Greenbriar for more than 40 years and sadly this time we were disappointed. The food was just not up to their usual standards - actually not even close. We hope it was just an off night and will certainly try again. We understand there is a new chef - and sincerely hope he improves.
It was a beautiful evening, spent with good friends, enjoying the opportunity to relax and catch-up. The service and hospitality were exceptional. The food and wine were outstanding. A very special place!
We had a lovely Thursday night get together with friends. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional.
My sweetheart took me along with 4 others to Greenbriar for my birthday.
Everything was outstanding, including the martinis that some of our friends ordered for a pre-dinner drink. I asked for black napkins and they did have them - always a sign of a more up-scale restaurant for me!
Beef Wellington was a standout, as was the Oxtail Tagliatelle, Filet & Chicken prepared 3 ways. Four of us enjoyed the Caesar salad that was prepared table side.
For dessert I was offered a free one, and chose the Bananas Foster, which was also prepared table side. My only criticism would be too much brown sugar and too little rum.
The Greenbriar has been a “go to” for me for years. Always delicious and unique.
Wonderful, personal service by everyone on the wait staff!
It is always a treat to have Sunday Brunch at the Greenbriar. We were there for my mom's 84th birthday. I called ahead because she loves Lemon Meringue Pie and I wanted to bring one or ask if they could make one that I could purchase. The Greenbriar staff made the pie and it was fantastic and it made my sweet mom so happy! The service was excellent and we will look forward to celebrating other special occasions at the Greenbriar!
Great atmosphere and the service was wonderful! Food was well prepared and presented.
Lovely birthday dinner for my daughter. One of our favorites for years!
Everyone was very attentive,
Our waiter Steve excellent interpersonal skills. Been here before and much enjoyed
The place.
Began with a bowl of Pear Apple Soup which was very beautifully presented and was amazing, both flavour and texture. The baguette bread I had was very hard; I ended up with the last bread of the day and it had dried into a brick. The pecan bread was very good on the other hand. For my entree, I selected the NY strip w/ greens and celery root. Steak was cooked to temp but was a bit tougher cut than I expected and there was a rather large gristle and fat piece left on it. Good flavour. The greens and celery root did not complement the meal for my taste. I didn't think they were matched well. For dessert, I chose the panna cota. Very nice presentation and wonderful delicate flavours. And the Server was Briana who was absolutely OUTSTANDING!! She was prompt, pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly, patient and everything else you'd expect and many others you don't expect.
Great anniversary dinner during Denver Restaurant Week. Quiet, romantic. Great food. Outstanding service.
Food, service and ambiance were excellent.
We went for Denver Restaurant Week, and I will definitely be returning. Our meal started with a liver pate and crustini that was very good. I had oysters that were delicious and they were served with a cucumber granita that was great. My wife had the pear soup with blue cheese - this was incredible - we may try to recreate it at home, although I fear we will fall short. My main course was the ricotta gnocchi that was the best I have ever tasted. It was light and delicious and I had to fight my wife off because she tasted it and kept coming back for more. The desserts were very good, especially the Panna Cotta. The only downside to the entire evening was my wife's main course, linguini and clam sauce - The pasta was a bit thick (but it is house made on the premises), which we could forgive, but where was the garlic? It definitely needed more garlic for our tastes, and they also used a bit too much lemon. We will definitely return for the great service, ambiance, and good food, I think we will probably both have the gnocchi - it was that good!
All around great, a wonderful experience, do not miss this place.
It was a snowy evening on my wife's birthday. Sitting by the windows with the lighted trees and huge snowflakes, it was magical.
Great experience. It was snowing out and the atmosphere is beautiful there. The beef carpaccio was superb and the gnocchi is incredible; they are the softest pillows and the flavorings accompanying the dish were wonderful.
We have been eating here for over 40 yrs and have always experienced excellent food and service, and knowledgeable staff. The menu is refreshed seasonally with items from the onsite garden but the long-time staples are still available. Highly recommend for a special dinner, or casual dining in bar or patio.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration with our son. It was snowing heavily and so beautiful in the dining room with the windows. The food was wonderful, especially the ricotta gnocchi. A spectacular wine list. Our server, Devin, was great!!
The Greenbriar Inn does the best buffet brunch in town. The restaurant and staff are very welcoming. It's tucked under the Boulder foothills in an older, charming building. The food is high quality and plentiful. There are three serving tables: salads, hot, and dessert. The hot table has a wonderful array that includes waffles, blintzes, salmon, turkey, beef, quiche, and much more. But, make sure you leave room to taste some of the yummy desserts, such as bread pudding, mousse, cheesecake, chocolates, brownies, etc. And to increase your dining pleasure, consider adding the bottomless champagne. Cheers!
This beautiful place is absolutely amazing, and I highly suggest all parties to try it. The ambience, food and service is all astounding. Can't wait to get back to The Greenbriar Inn
Food was interesting and well prepared; top notch sauces. Staff was professional and helpful. Old style European décor is tasteful. it is a trek from Boulder but worth it especially for a special occasion.
What a great experience. Seated very promptly, atmosphere was perfect, service was good and food was delicious.
We heard good things about the Greenbriar Inn. We thought food was good but food over priced. We sat next to loud group. The server was almost as loud as the guest and she did not seem to know about the menu.
First time here and all I can say was outstanding. Our server was extra ordinary prepping both the Caesar salads for our starter and for dessert banana’s foster. Both my wife and our main entree was delightful.
This is one of those unwise out of the way places you find that I will definitely be coming back.
Valentines. In time for reservation but waited 10 minutes to get seats with open tables. Another 10 minutes for first contact with server. After that everything was very good.
Wonderful Valentine menu, lots of thought to detail like the macaroons in a small gift box to take home.
Although located north of Boulder, on the way to Lyons, Greenbriar is always worth the drive. It is an upscale country inn, serving gourmet fare, but maintaining a casual atmosphere. One would be as comfortable here in dressy attire as in more everyday casual clothes. The service is always exceptional--professional but very friendly and helpful. In our opinion Greenbriar is one of Boulder's best. Go for broke, with table-side preparation of either Caesar salad (best in Boulder) or Beef Tartare as well as table-side flaming bananas Foster. This being Valentine's Day, the menu was pre-fixe, so more limited, but still worth the visit. The wine list is endless. We always leave with regrets for not having been here sooner and more often. We'll work on that.
Great fixed price meal with superb service
Consistently producing superb meals, outstanding wines, and a comfortable visually pleasing environment. Recommended for Christmas Eve and Valentines Day...a sure winner! Also, a great place to dine for any occasion.
Great entrees, Great Valrhona Soufflé, Great Owner, Great Sommelier, Great Servers. Struggling to find a word to sum it up...Ah! GREAT!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👨🍳👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
