Green Valley Grill Ratings and Reviews
We recently wanted to go someplace nice for holiday dinner night and chose Green Valley Grill. We had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. For appetizer we ordered a special butternut squash flatbread, it was delicious. For dinner, we ordered trout and scallops both were outstanding. My cosmo was good too. Overall it was excellent dining experience and we will be back soon!
My bridesmaid and I had brunch here on Sunday, December 3rd around 12:15. We were waiting on three more friends to show up while we were seated. Our service was slow and it took awhile to get our waters. We also ordered mimosa and it also took over 10 minutes to come out. No straws were given for our water and we had to ask. Server was very nice but forgetful and slow. My friend ordered a salad with her brunch and never received it. She asked about it after she received her food but it was too late so she canceled the salad. My food was great but my friend beside me had scraps of hash browns like it was at the bottom of the bag type deal. We never received any refills for water and we had to ask for another mimosa instead of server asking us. Overall, we had a good time and food was good. Service....very disappointing. We have never had bad service at GVG until that day. My bridesmaids and I will not come back for another dining but my fiancé and I will make an attempt.
We had an excellent meal---six friends getting together and we all agreed we had a wonderful time and great food. My husband is in a wheelchair and this didn't faze the staff at all. Wait staff is attentive without being overbearing and annoying. At the end of the meal, we left an assistive straw my husband uses. The restaurant called us and held it until we could return. Top notch service, excellent food---what could be better?
Well me and my wife went here for our 2nd anniversary. It was on a Wednesday night about 7:45 pm. Good atmosphere. The service was great. The before dinner bread was also good. We ordered the truffle fries which my wife liked better than me. I thought they were a lil greasy. We both ordered Parmesan crusted chicken. It was tender but tasted like a breaded porkchop. The mashed potatoes under it were tasty. The green beans were cold and rubbery. Oh the house salad was a lot small lettuce leaves drenched with dressing and nothing else. I would only go back for the wine, bread and awesome service.
On my Open Table reservation, I had requested seating away from the main kitchen/dishwasher and front door. As it was my birthday dinner and my boyfriend was traveling an hour into town, I wished to be situated away from the noisy kitchen area and cool front door entrance (yes, I am the girl who is always cold). It seemed as though Green Valley Grill did not see this request. They originally sat my boyfriend and I at a table right next to the kitchen door entrance, with servers walking through and the dish washing/kitchen noise in the background. After I voiced my initial complaint and told them about my specific reservation request, they then moved us to another table, by the front entrance (I didn't fight it at this point). The staff did not know it was my birthday and served me the wrong dinner plate of food first (chicken instead of salmon). They quickly fixed the mishap. Very good food, but I was a little disappointed with the service. I am not a nit-picky person, but since this was a special occasion, I wanted the little details to be perfect. I didn't think asking to be seated in a specific area (when I had made the reservation 24 hours in advance) would be too hard to accommodate.
Brunch at GVG was, as always, memorable. My sister had the Mediterranean tapas plate, not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes. A more elegant presentation would have been hard to imagine.
I had the "simple" GVG Breakfast: two perfectly poached eggs topped with velvety hollandaise; all-natural bacon cooked to perfection; heavenly savory polenta; GVG's famous smashed hashbrowns; and a perfect cup of coffee. Almost as close as one can come to heaven on a plate (second only to GVG's phenomenal summer specialty: chopped Greek salad with heirloom tomatoes, grilled wild-caught NC shrimp, and Gorgonzola dressing).
Bottom line: you just can't go wrong with Brunch at Green Valley Grill.
Pleasant surprise! Picked this restaurant based on a quick internet search. We were not disappointed. From start to finish we enjoyed everything about our dining experience. The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, and just the right amount. We will go back there on our next trip to Greensboro.
I ate at the Print Works Bistro (same restaurant group) a couple of years ago while passing through Greensboro and the experience was excellent. This was my first visit to the Green Valley Grill and I was not disappointed. I was very pleased with the overall venue. The wood-fire grilled salmon was superbly prepared. Would definitely dine here again if in the area.
My date and I had a wonderful time Friday night. We both ate the parmesan crusted chicken with green beans accompanied by the Riesling. It was lovely. Our server was very patient and invested. She was attentive, but not to the point of being intrusive into our evening. The interior design of the building was very welcoming and made each booth feel homey. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting one-on-one time with their special someone.
Our first visit to Green Valley Grill so we were excited. The cuisine was delicious, especially the salmon. The ambiance was upbeat, with happy crowd. We did think the music caused a sense of needing to rush so the next seating could occur and while our server was excellent, friendly and efficient...it did seem the staff was rushed and quick to take our plates away. We made it clear that we were not in a rush. By the time our desert and after dinner drinks arrived things settled down and seemed calmer. We would definitely go back and overall we enjoyed ourselves and felt the food was well-prepared and delicious.
