All in all it was great. A couple of things were not up to standards. The waiter forgot the appetizers and brought out the salads. And just before the dessert was served, a waitress was busily sweeping the floor around the adjacent table until I asked her to stop. Great wine selection and the food was prepared perfectly. Would go back for sure.

The Green Valley Grill is reliable and has a seasonal change of selections. We live in Winston-Salem, about 45 minutes away, so we combine it with an overnight stay at the adjacent O.Henry Hotel. The food is good; there’s always a fish of the day and a foreign-inspired dish. The Frozen Nutty Irishman is our go-to dessert: a thin layer of chocolate cake between two layers of frozen mousse made with Bailey’s Irish cream liquor and toffee chips. Recommended .

This has been our 4th time in 3 weeks! Brought an out-of-town guest and we liked it so well that we wanted to return to try other things. We were not disappointed. We've been suggesting the restaurant to others. Even took an extra dessert home with us last time. Service is always exceptional. We will be going back again. Thank you to all involved in this pleasant dining experience.

The Green Valley Grill never disappoints. Service is always exceptional. Love that they were one of the first to source local ingredients.

Met friends at the restaurant for Sunday brunch and we weren't disappointed. Broad array of food options, including both the brunch and lunch menus, as well as other special items. It was difficult to choose from the array of options! Food was excellent. Our server, Lynn was outstanding - very attentive and helpful without being at all intrusive.
We'll be back!!

The main reason we came was for the jazz, particularly the female vocalist who was out-of-this world fantastic. The wonderful food and ambiance was just icing on the cake.

A part of seven arrived a little early. No problem, table already ready. At 6:30 on a Saturday night, place was already filled and humming. Almost unable to find a parking spot. Drinks came right away. Table bread was very fresh and served with real butter. Mediterranean Street Fries as an appetizer was thoroughly enjoyed by all -- the Moroccan flavoring to the meat was out-of-this-world good. Could have been the main meal all by itself. Highly recommend trying. Salads were light and tasty and not too large. Main entrees of pan seared sea scallops, Parmesan crusted chicken, wood-fire grilled salmon, oak-fired filet mignon and beef short ribs were all scrumptious. As put by one person at the table, "When the table goes quiet, you know the food is real good." Complimentary slice of cake was served as the dinner out was a birthday celebration. No effort by staff to try to rush us out. Everyone very friendly. If you have not been, you should try this place. Significant menu variety.

Every visit here (perhaps 2-3 times a year) impresses us. The menu has a few staples, but also changes seasonally. We like the vegetarian options available that are usually quite unique and tasty.
Our waiter was excellent. She showed a deep understanding of the menu and was attentive but not obtrusive. It was a great night out for our family.

We met friends at Green Valley Grill for Sunday lunch, and it was quite good. I had a frittata and was very pleased with it. My wife and one friend had salads, which they said were excellent, and our other friend had a butternut squash tart, which looked lovely. A nice Sunday meal with friends.

Went for my friend’s birthday and he enjoyed it. My lasagna was a little dry and I didn’t like the house salad. The greens were large and the vinergarette dressing was too tangy but other than that it was a pleasant experience. It was his first time eating there so he was pleased.

The food was good but the waitress was horrible. Never filled up drinks. Didn’t take our order for a long time. After I ordered my dessert they brought out my free birthday dessert (which would of been nice to know before I bought a dessert) also they didn’t ask of the check was all in one...waitress didn’t ask if it needed to be split and then was really upset that we wanted her to separate.

Been there several times - always been pleased. Very accommodating to food allergies and different types of specialty diets. If they don't have it on the menu - just ask and they will create a dish. I have seen them do this for a vegan and for persons allergic to all beef, pork and any other meat (except poultry). GVG is simply fantastic!

I took my husband to Green Valley on Sunday for his birthday. Overall, I would call the experience "mixed." The food was amazing. We are calamari-crazed, and GV's with the harissa sauce was top notch. We both got the strip steak special, and it was memorable. It was cooked to a true rare, which is very hard to get these days. We shared his "surprise" cake, which was also superb.

We were, however, disappointed in the service. The service was unenthusiastic, to say the least. Flat, flat, flat. We had to ask about specials, never got a bread basket, had to refill our own wine glasses, etc. etc. Not the level we'd expect for this kind of restaurant.

The worst was that there was a huge party next to us, which was fine. But when they left, the staff began to break down the set up, carrying out tables on their shoulders past the guests who were dining. We realize that it was Sunday evening, and people were probably anxious to get home, but it really destroyed the ambiance. Then, as we were leaving, a server cut in front of us, with out so much as a "pardon me." Maybe some time for some retraining?

We'll give it another try for the food. Maybe the experience will be better.

Food needed to be returned but the server never came back to the table after delivery. We needed drinks, and a wine glass had old food stuck to it. Two of us didn’t eat, but she never even noticed the plates were not touched when picking up the table. Nor did she ask how our meal was. We were so disappointed and just wanted to get out of there.

I had the beautiful and delicious tapas plate and a delicious creme brulee I really didn't need. A friend had the cobb salad, and she loved it. My other friend had a vegan flatbread, which she really enjoyed. All in all, it was an outstanding meal, as usual, at the wonderful Green Valley Grill.

Our New Year's Eve dinner was delicious. We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly and we then we ordered our entrees. Our waiter was professional and kind. Our food was served in a timely manner and it was amazing - the sous vide steak, whoa! The butternut squash gratin, warm and comforting. We followed up with the fig spice cake and the recommended tawny port - heavenly! It was the perfect New Years Eve date night and I can't wait to return.

We had a late lunch /early dinner on New Years Eve. Then we went over to the free jazz show for New Years Eve. Our third year and it delivered a festive evening. It was a bit cold in the room, but it was a FREEZING night. Of course being the O'Henry they even had a coat check Just one of the many extra touches we have enjoyed over the years.
We had afternoon tea at the O'Henry also which was a lovely and yummy treat that has become another tradition for us.
If we have a special occasion, or someone ask for the nicest place in town we always say Green Valley Grill, or Lucky 32 and Proximity is wonderful too, (love their brunch ) !

The service was very good, server was attentive and helpful in deciding what to order. However, our table was located across from the front door, making it cold and uncomfortable every time the door was opened. The food was very good, not particularly outstanding. We did have a cocktail, which was okay, not great. The choices are good, something for everyone.

My wife and I enjoyed our experience at Green Valley. The waitress brought us items from another table's order. She seemed confused when this was pointed out. She seemed confused on the use of vouchers. We ate at 5:30. Sound and ambiance seemed good at that time. When we left at 7:00, it seemed crowded and a bit noisey.

A great spot. Good food, interesting menu, reasonably priced with large but not overwhelming portions. Very friendly and efficient staff. We were in Greensboro for the day and had both lunch and dinner here. Locally sourced and changing menu. This is a bit of a drive for us but well worth the drive.

We sat in a booth in the side room which was really nice. The food was very good and things moved along at a comfortable pace. Our waiter was attentive but did not seem happy to be there (it was Christmas night) and seemed to be going through the motions. That wasn’t a big deal and we enjoyed a nice meal in a quality restaurant

Our annual Christmas tradition is dinner at Green Valley Grill. When we arrived, it was very crowded but they made us feel welcome. We had a reservation and they seated us on time and had our special request on file. The food was excellent, as always. Service was outstanding. Our server had many tables, but was quite efficient and we never waited for anything.
