Went for my friend’s birthday and he enjoyed it. My lasagna was a little dry and I didn’t like the house salad. The greens were large and the vinergarette dressing was too tangy but other than that it was a pleasant experience. It was his first time eating there so he was pleased.
The food was good but the waitress was horrible. Never filled up drinks. Didn’t take our order for a long time. After I ordered my dessert they brought out my free birthday dessert (which would of been nice to know before I bought a dessert) also they didn’t ask of the check was all in one...waitress didn’t ask if it needed to be split and then was really upset that we wanted her to separate.
I took my husband to Green Valley on Sunday for his birthday. Overall, I would call the experience "mixed." The food was amazing. We are calamari-crazed, and GV's with the harissa sauce was top notch. We both got the strip steak special, and it was memorable. It was cooked to a true rare, which is very hard to get these days. We shared his "surprise" cake, which was also superb.
We were, however, disappointed in the service. The service was unenthusiastic, to say the least. Flat, flat, flat. We had to ask about specials, never got a bread basket, had to refill our own wine glasses, etc. etc. Not the level we'd expect for this kind of restaurant.
The worst was that there was a huge party next to us, which was fine. But when they left, the staff began to break down the set up, carrying out tables on their shoulders past the guests who were dining. We realize that it was Sunday evening, and people were probably anxious to get home, but it really destroyed the ambiance. Then, as we were leaving, a server cut in front of us, with out so much as a "pardon me." Maybe some time for some retraining?
We'll give it another try for the food. Maybe the experience will be better.
Food needed to be returned but the server never came back to the table after delivery. We needed drinks, and a wine glass had old food stuck to it. Two of us didn’t eat, but she never even noticed the plates were not touched when picking up the table. Nor did she ask how our meal was. We were so disappointed and just wanted to get out of there.
Just ok. Burger wasn't cooked well done as requested. I asked for a pickle and you had none, server got the bill wrong, twice.
I had the beautiful and delicious tapas plate and a delicious creme brulee I really didn't need. A friend had the cobb salad, and she loved it. My other friend had a vegan flatbread, which she really enjoyed. All in all, it was an outstanding meal, as usual, at the wonderful Green Valley Grill.
Green Valley"s food is very good! They always have a creative menu. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet very comfortable! It is always a nice treat!
Our extended family meets here a few times a year. We live 1.5 hours away in opposite directions, so this is a central meeting place for us. We love the food, service, and atmosphere. It is a wonderful place for us to gather, and we can always count on a great experience. We love this place!
All the way from S.C. and hotel too. Wish you have discount packages for restaurant and hotel.
We always stay at a hotel down the road. We brought a couple with us that had never been to Green Valley Grill and they too loved it.
Usually enjoy GVG, but New Year’s Eve menu was a disappointment.
