Service was excellent and matched the food.! Very pleased and hope we can find another place like this in town!
Good to be back in Pasadena so we could visit Green Street East again. It is as good as we remember.
It has been a while since I visited the Green Street Restaurant and was looking forward to ordering the Dianne Salad. I met 3 friends for a late afternoon lunch. I was disappointed with the salad as it lacked flavor and the lettuce was soggy. Overall, the salad did not seem freshly made. The zucchini bread was dry. The butter squares served with the bread were so soft, you could not peel the wrapper off without getting butter all over your fingers.
Regarding service, it could have been a lot better. There were only 3 occupied tables. As soon my table received our entrees, we were asked if anything else was going to be ordered. I mentioned a take-out order only to be pressed about it. Then the order was prepared well in advance of the meal ending, so it sat on the table only to get cold. We had to ask for beverage refills and no dishes were removed from the table; so we ended up with a lot of beverage cups and dirty plates on the table.
I made reservations through open table and in the special comment section, I requested patio seating.
However, I was told that they only allow reservations for indoor dining so what was the point of making a reservation through open table if they do not read the special request, or if they do, will not honor it?
Someone at the restaurant should have called me to inform me that, sorry, for patio dining, your reservation is useless.
The food as usual for Sunday brunch is delicious, however, our meal is always made special due to the service received by Will. Will is always courteous & helpful.
The restaurant lacks atmosphere that would make dining enjoyable. The roast beef sandwich I had was full of fat and kind of raw, not to my liking. The service was excellent, I think management needs to get the restaurant back to normal, I felt like we were still in 2020 with the empty bar and tables. Lighten up and get back to normal.
We all liked our food. I liked the Stephen sandwich.
Fantastic food! Original and adventurous menu.
My compliments to the chef. We enjoyed every bite.
We are from Orange county. We were coming to Pasadena for a special even and needed a place for lunch. Found you on internet, made reservations because of location, and we're very pleased we did!
Super friendly hoses and waiters, I felt safe to dine inside again.
Food was great; service was slow due to understaffing. Our server was fine, but unable to keep up with the work load.
We had a reservation and were seated immediately when we arrived. The service was great and the food was delicious.
Very straightforward, nice, and tasty. Service was very friendly.
Love their food!
Always a pleasure to dine at GSR.
IT WAS NICE TO BE BACK IN THE RESTAURANT. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. SO WAS THE SERVICE.
parking lot seems to be reserved for some other restaurant.
My friend actally didn’t show up. I offered to pay for the coffee I had while I waited, and they said it was on the house. Very nice and friendly people.
Always enjoy dining at Green Street. Post pandemic service is difficult for the wait staff as they are very short handed. But in spite if this, they are friendly and working to keep the clientele happy and fed. The food is great, the staff is courteous and hard working.
Keep up the good work everyone and thank you.
Good food nothing memorable. paid parking only.
Sat outside on the patio on a drizzly Sunday and enjoyed Irish Coffees, Diane salad and the spicy shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious! We’ll be back.
Good food and excellent customer service
Even though the weather didn’t cooperate for breakfast outdoors, the meal and attentive service more than made up for an enjoyable meal!!
The streak and Diane salad was perfect. Excellent service in a time of short staff. Very pleased
Our server, a nice young man, was outstanding! Please thank him for taking care of us! He was very polite and professional!
Nice experience, tasty food. Be nice if they could validate parking
Excellent restaurant with great food. Great place to dine with friends.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was a relaxing mother’s day brunch!
Great variety of delicious food, and relaxing indoor or outdoor seating
Casual but nicely presented and the food was great. Good menu variety and quality.
Guys at the front desk really need help in being more efficient, communicative and polite. They are holding customers hostage with their time limits and wait for outside when clearly there are available tables. Also reservations should always be taken before walk-in's. The waiter was good except he never brought me tea as requested. Green Street used to be better.
We waited 1 hour to get our food. The table that sat down at 1 pm got their food the same time as us. It would be fine, but we had 3 starving kids. They were more focused on pleasing their to go orders than to get the people there served.
Great food and service
An excellent early Mother’s Day brunch.
Noise level outside is totally dependent i. Traffic in Shoppers Lane, but I still like to sit outside. Food is consistently top notch. My favorite burger anywhere is at Green Street, and every time it is amazing. Staff, as always, are courteous and attentive. Green Street will always be one of my favorite places to eat.
Our earliest memories are Charley’s breakfast together on the patio on Saturday mornings as a newly married couple in the 1980’s. Now married almost 40 years, we still remember the luscious taste of the zucchini bread and the delightful Dianne salad. Yesterday I revisited the Stephen’s sandwich and was amazed all over again. Very pleased with the side fruit selection as well. Will keep coming back whenever we’re in town. Fortunate to have snagged a table reservation even in the midst of a busy reopening day in Pasadena. Traffic has picked up once again.
By the time we reached home after our meals at Green Street we received an Email from Open Table indicating that we are NO SHOWS.
I called GS, spoke with Alex..Manager...he said "sorry, greeter must have pushed the wrong button, cannot change the NO SHOW", I will have to call Open Table.
We were seated with Dinner menus, should have been Lunch menus.
GF ordered club sandwich but was delivered a different sandwich altogether.
Nice location, outside without traffic noise.
We should get extra points for our trouble.
Enjoyed our Sunday brunch.
I first went to this restaurant, when it was called Green Street Cafe, in 1989. In recent years I've regularly patronized this restaurant a couple of times a year because of its food and open space. But this last visit after the pandemic was very disappointing.
First of all, the (new?) young manager was, to my standard, rude. Their new policy stated that guests might only sit for 90 minutes and they clearly announced it at the time of reservation. Yes, I totally respect that. And they were kind enough to let us sit for longer than 90 minutes when the restaurant was not filled. But when there were people waiting for tables, the manager came to our table and simply said, "Is this (Jane Doe)'s reservation? I need your table." Wow! That was rude for a service industry. He could have said something like, "I hope you're enjoying your meal, but may I please have your table because there are people waiting." I mean, c'mon, you're in a service industry!
And the food was bad! I've ordered their shrimp pasta regularly. But this time, the shrimps were not decently cooked. It was apparently defrost shrimps thrown into the pasta pot, even without any seasoning. It's the worst I'd ever had at this restaurant. And the pasta was not linguini as stated on the menu.
