Green Street Restaurant
This wonderful dining establishment is always a regular stop on every trip to Pasadena. Creative lunch and dinner options with top level customer service make for an excellent experience
My favorite place to go for brunch. Grapefruit Juice mimosas and the potato tacos. We had wonderful service as well.
The server was horrendous! My friend order egg whites and the kitchen made a mistake and gave her regular eggs. She brought it to the attention of the waiter. He seemed annoyed because he had to send it back and we asked for jelly and more coffee. He made a gesture with his hands, my blowing, and never came back to serve us.
We were a party of 5 and we frequently meet up for breakfast at this restaurant. We have never experienced anything like this. We were told that that particular waiter is always in a bad mood and could be rude. Why work with the public if asking for jelly and more coffee is too much for him to handle?
I know that we will return to the restaurant but never going to seat at his station.
It’s such a shame because this is a big blemish for the restaurant.
My guests were visiting from Sweden and they loved the Diane Salad (of course!). Their kids loved their grilled sandwiches and fries. We enjoyed sitting in the patio and visiting for the first time in 16 years. Perfect place to get together with friends and enjoy a leisurely lunch!
Great food. Great staff.
New Year’s Eve with friends
We were a group of 11, including 5 children aged 9-17, celebrating a dad's birthday. Everyone enjoyed the delightful and very comfortable ambiance, and their meals and beverages. Adults shared a very reasonably priced, good bottle of cabernet and kids enjoyed pink lemonade and soft drinks. Food portions were very generous, as well as delicious; especially outstanding were the turkey tostada salad and the grilled pulled pork sandwich. Service was wonderful; our server Alex M was friendly, responsive, and very helpful with suggestions for the adults who are on keto diets. We brought 2 birthday cakes (one keto) and Alex provided plates/forks and helped serve. It was our first visit -- some of us are from out-of-town -- but it won't be our last!
We had an 8am breakfast here on a weekday. It was quiet, pretty, and perfect. We had the avocado/bacon omelette and the veggie scramble, and couldn't have been happier. The fresh zucchini bread was a wonderful warm touch. So happy Open Table recommended this restaurant after our first choice was closed!
Reliable standby in Pasadena. Our breakfast arrived cold and there was no hesitation to replace with freshly made food. Our server was attentive, gracious, friendly and professional.
We had breakfast there on Christmas eve. What a great way to start the day!
We had a wonderful waitperson, Lucy, who made the evening so incredibly enjoyable. One time previously, we had a waiter who put such a damper on our evening that we almost did not return to ACH. The wait staff makes such a difference, and we are thrilled to have had such a nice, competent, responsive professional staff person! We will be back, and we will ask for Lucy.
As always, the food was excellent.
Always a great option when you have diverse food interests. Lots of choices - we always love the flavors. The lime shrimp bowl is outstanding and the Dianne salad is always amazing.
Food served cold and may have been sitting for awhile. But they were really busy that day. Maybe service better the other days
Good food atmosphere good and noise level minimal for good conversation... there is a full bar with two small TVs but not meant to be a sports bar
Really nice dinner.
Consistent food and friendly service
A server was being trained so I understand that. But it took at least 19 minutes fir them to return to take our orders after being asked for more time. Asked for three waters, two with ice and got one with ice. Asked for ice. It never came. Asked again. And the food was just ok. My tostada was covered with a big glow of sautéed onions. Really. Who puts sautéed onions on a tostada? Disgusting.
Consistently good staple in midtown Pasadena. Very accommodating for our group of 12 colleagues and friends. Wait staff was extremely efficient & timely … nice guy (sorry I don't remember his name).
Our waiter was attentive to the fact we were on a tight schedule and brought our food quickly.
The food was delicious- as usual, I have been attending dinners there a very long time and I must it’s always. The service was excellent.
We had a large party for a work retreat. The service was very good considering we were 11 people. Everyone said their food was good, but not fantastic. It got pretty crowded while we were there and the noise level stayed bearable. I would definitely go back there.
We had a wonderful time at Green Street! Carly, our server, was pleasant and had very good customer service! We enjoyed the Beyond Burger, Dianne Salad and the Delux Halfer!
Since discovering this wonderful restaurant 5 years it has become an absolute go to place whenever visiting Pasadena. Delicious salads and entree combined with top notch customer service. They have never disappointed me in handled whether it is only 2 of us or much larger groups
Delicious food and excellent customer service
6 ladies having brunch, so a choice of breakfast or lunch satisfied each of us. Great tasty food and friendly service .
We were in the area for a meeting, so we decided to go to Green St. for breakfast beforehand. The service was quick and attentive, and our meals were great. We also appreciated the festive Christmas decor.
Steak Dianne is a must! There was a live jazz band playing Christmas songs, which made for a great night!
Our server Brian was so kind and patient. We were meeting from 2 far away locations, and one of us was delayed for almost an hour. He never rushed us and was very accommodating.
Food was room temperature and took a long time to be served. Tried to get waiter or someone's attention for tea refill and food reheated but repeatedly ignored.
I am sad to give only three stars - the restaurant has great potential. My server was great and the food, for the most part, was very tasty. Now the reasons why I gave only three stars... (stop reading if you are about to eat) About a third way into dining, I spotted a noticeable piece of hair in my husband’s Quesadilla con Huevos. Before I could get it out of there, my hungry husband took a big bite of his food with the hair in it. That’s when we both lost our appetite and just could not get ourselves to eat more. Cleanliness is something we consider table stakes at restaurants, especially a nice sit down place like this one. Another small hiccup was that despite notifying the maitre d’ and confirming with my waiter that I had an open table reservation, they never checked me in. So I had to deal with the no-show email. Overall, I would give the restaurant another chance, but this visit was a bit disappointing.
Restaurant was okay. Servers were very nice butntoom an hour to get our food after ordering and that was breakfast. They served my husband and when immediately came and took the plate back and gave him the wrong thing before we could stop them, then ultimately brought it back. At $16 for an omelette definitely not worth it.
Bring back the Pizza Port Chronic Amber Ale, drop the Honey
Great food and attentive waitstaff!
Amazing service and food! Perfect place for a breakfast. And, I’m especially grateful because I left my laptop there and the server kept it safe for over 24 hours until I could pick it back up. Massive fan of this place and I’ll make sure that all of my breakfast meetings happen here. :)
Can't miss with the Diane Salad... food is very good... a little pricy and no validation for parking so, that is an issue for me. I don't feel you should have to pay to park when you go out to eat. Was convenient for getting a bite before going to the Pasadena Playhouse.
I felt bad because we had a wonderful server, however he had a whole section by himself which wasn’t fair to him!
I went here for breakfast with my son. The location is excellent and parking was easy. I had been looking forward to a nice breakfast after seeing some of the pictures online. The interior is cozy and welcoming. There is a nice patio on Shopper's Lane. The service was excellent but my Charlie's Breakfast was not very good. The scramble was overcooked and the overload of potatoes was very cold. The potatoes had obviously been sitting around for some time. My son did like his breakfast burrito and his serving of fruit was large and looked very fresh. I guess the food is hit or miss.
We've been coming to Green Street since 1979 when it was on Green Street! Even after moving out of the area in 1983...we still return at least once a year or more. The Diane Salad remains exactly the same as does the incredible zucchini bread. Always worth the drive to Pasadena!
Food and service great. Patio seating nice and quieter than inside. Robin great server!
Waitress was over the top great! Loved it here!
