Green Papaya Bistro - Dallas
Service was great, it’s a shame they don’t have soups in appetizers.
Having a drunk valet worker is poor! He backed into a car as we watched him stumble around
Excellent service and the food was delicious, the portions are big
I have come here several times in the past. When my family asked to meet here for dinner I thought why not. It still is as good as it always has been. I love the food which is always fresh. The wait staff are very professional and had great suggestions. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely love this place. I couldn’t have found a better spot in uptown to enjoy my weekly meals. All staff or amiable and owner is superb. Did I mention they have valet too!
What Happened?!?! Green Papaya used to be so good. Never go back
When I arrived at the restaurant, I was greeted by the hostess and she walked me to my table. The hostess gave me the menu and five minutes later the drink menu. I was waiting on my friend who was running late so I was going to order a drink. I never saw the hostess again but there was this guy who ever since I sat at my table, he was standing (two tables away) looking at videos on his phone. The volume on his phone was loud enough for me to hear it was videos. After 15 minutes, I got his attention and ask if I could please order a drink. He just looked around to see if he got someone’s else attention to come to my table and went back at playing with his phone. I waited 5 more minutes but no one came and the guy was still there playing with his phone. I just called my friend to meet at a Japanese restaurant close by that was really delicious and had great service. I would understand if the restaurant was very busy but there was only one other table that was occupied by two guys and the rest of the restaurant was empty.
Won't go back.
Restaurant smelled awful, service was terrible and the food was equally as bad!
Ate here for lunch at 11:45 on a Saturday. Not crowded at all. Indoor and covered outdoor seating available.
My wife and I split both the green papaya salad appetizer and the yellow bean crepe entree with shrimp and chicken and we're glad we split them. Not only were they delicious, but the portions were HUGE!
They have a huge variety of Vietnamese dishes that we were not familiar with, but would love to try in the future.
Great value for delicious food, and the service was just right.
I was there when it opened several years ago.
On this business trip I returned . Still good (but I remembered it to be better at taht time) Maybe memories are always better than present....
Green papaya serves the freshest Asian food. I had the shrimp with mushrooms, amazing! The sampler platter, to start, is fun also. Highly suggest a visit. Definitely a dallas favorite!
The service was kid and responsive.
The food did not meet our expectations.
We are officially obsessed with Green Papaya! Great food, great service. And the leftovers warmed up really nice the next day!
Took family from NYC and Plano to lunch at Green Papaya and we had a wonderful time lunching outside on the porch with a cool breeze and the bamboo decoration adding a nice touch. Food was very good, service attentive, parking valet easy to work with, and our family members from out of town loved the whole experience. Well done, Green Papaya! Have always enjoyed the restaurant, so it's nice when friends and family love it too!
There were only 2 tables occupied- so it was not a busy time.
The location was very easy to find with GPS. Although there isn't any parking they offer free valet which was great. My boyfriend and I both ordered the noodle bowls which were fantastic. They come with an egg roll that were great as well.
Two cons would be the Vietnamese spring rolls weren't that great and the peanut sauce is different than any I've had before and wasn't to our liking. Also, my boyfriend had a dessert and said it was just average.
Overall we had great main dishes, service was polite, very accommodating and will be back when in the area again.
