Love this place! Fresh, clean tasteful food , amazing service. Went there for Valentine's Day and got a beautiful rose, loved the food and service so much that came back to celebrate my birthday and got a complimentary piece of their amazing chocolate cake! I love their hummus and pita bread home made, delicious. Salmon salad is amazing! The kebabs are great too! Everything fresh, organic, food that taste like food . Fairly priced, great wines too! Highly recommended .

I really enjoyed the the Lunch menu, it is better than than dinner in my opinion. Supper menu is either a kabob or a salad and it's rather pricey too since all you get is a kabob with rice and a grilled tomato. No other veggies and it's as dry as the Sahara - all for $23. Dessert was disappointing but at least they had good hummus and pita bread, you'll have to keep asking for more pita though.

Personally I prefer Greektown Grille or Pita House.

It was our first time at The Gteen Lettuce, food is amazing, fresh and clean. Loved the hummus! Even though they don't have a kids menu my daughter enjoyed the lamb kebabs as well. Service was really good ! Definitely my favorite place! Highly recommended.

My friends and I dined there on a Saturday night after making reservations in advance. It was apparent Green Lettuce was not staffed to handle the typical Saturday night crowd. When our appetizers were served we had to wait 10 minutes to get forks and knives to eat them with. Had to wait another 5 minutes to get the napkins. It took 20 minutes to bring a bottle of wine and then we had to ask for the other 2 glasses as they had only brought 2. The lamb kebobs were overcooked. The basic salad which cost $12 only had greens, a couple of slices of cucumber and onion. Add salmon to the salad for an extra $10. The food was overpriced for the quality and service. There were only 2 servers (including the hostess) that had to attend to 12 tables (40-50 people) and had to deal with food and bar service. One of the cooks from the kitchen helped serve the food, often guessing which table had what food. I cannot blame them, but can only blame the owner of Green Lettuce to allow this to happen. I do not recommend this place for weekend evening dining.

My husband and i have been fans of Green Lettuce since its opening. It is definitely one of our favorite restaurants. We have watched it evolve from a great lunch destination to a fun place for an evening of dinner and music.
The menu is authentic Persian-Mediteranean fare...healthy, clean eating. If you are dieting, a vegetarian, vegan....or not, this is the place to go! For dessert the baklava, Mediteranean ice cream with rose water, and the moist layer coffee cake are so, so good. The Avocado mix appetizer is wonderful, and is my favorite, but they are all very good. The kabobs and salads are all done just right. Everything has always been fresh and delicious.
A full bar has been added and is a nice place to enjoy a drink with a friend.
We love the owner who is very friendly and always remembers us. He is very interested in high quality food and good service. We appreciate his commitment to his customers. We highly recommend Green Lettuce.

With the name of Green Lettuce we expected a salad place and were pleasantly surprised. Green Lettuce is a small, intimate, Mediterranean, restaurant. We both had kebabs (lamb and salmon). The rice was flavorful and my husband loved the spicy sauce.

Green Lettuce is one of my favorite secret restaurants. I say "secret" because so many people have never tried it. I think it's because of the name - I used to think they only served salads, and it doesn't give any hint of the Mediterranean influence. The food is AMAZING and unique - Persian style - I love the "subza" salad (probably misspelled - sorry). Also the fruit guacamole starter is delicious. Highly recommended. Also nice for a conversation catching up with a friend. Much cuter inside than outside. Give it a try! You'll love it!

We arranged a meal for a large party (24) and had nearly the entire place to ourselves. The food was great especially for being served family style. We arranged a sampling of dishes from the menu beforehand to expedite service to such a large group and the selection was excellent. The service was exceptional. We never waited for food or drink.

We will definitely go back with a much smaller group.

Terrible place. Do not eat here. Filthy, nobody meets you when you walk in. Instead they look at you and ignore you. Place is rated B on a sign displayed on the front window. We walked out with out being seated, and I have never done that once in 10 years.

We might have caught them on a bad night. We were given the wrong wine, wrong food, and had to have our bill explained because it had the wrong charges on it. The food was so-so, not quite worth the cost. I don't think we will be returning. We love Mediterranean food and this place was just disappointing.

This is our go-to place to restaurant in downtown for tasty, creative and healthy eating. Their herb soufflé salad and avocado/fruit mix are 2 of our favorites. If you ask, they will serve your food family-style, and it all arrives beautiful displayed on one big tray set in the middle of the table. This is perfect for us because we like to share and taste all the dishes. Fish tends to be slightly overcooked and music has ads interspersed. Otherwise, we really enjoy dining here.

We enjoyed the evening. The food was delicious. I had grilled shrimp which were cooked perfectly. My husband had the lamb and was disappointed. He thought it was overlooked. The salad was fresh and beautiful and the pita bread was delicious.

They did not have my favorite wine, Pinot Grigio.

Service was excellent.

Wife had lamb kabob and I had chicken kabob. Each had rice and veggies. Looked good on plate and tasted good too. We both drank water, so can't comment on other drinks. We stopped there before a baseball game nearby. It's a much better choice than a hot dog and other typical baseball food. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at 5:30 PM. So, I was a little concerned at first. But, several tables were occupied when we left the restaurant. I suspect it is very popular in the evenings.

I have been to Green Lettuce several times and every time has been outstanding! You can't find more courteous staff in town, and the food is in a league of it's own. Lunch is definitely the best value, but dinner served family style is well worth the slightly higher prices and experience.
