Wonderful dinner with friend and enjoyed the experience. The steak and French onion soup was awesome.
Let me start with I'm a foodie! So doesn't seem natural for anyone who know me to eat here, that being said about twice a year I get a hankering for prime rib and a wedge salad do others do the wedge with equal or greater Newonce yes! Does anyone in KC do prime rib better not in my opinion! Been going 2 times a year for that order Specifically for 15 years and have never not had it served perfectly to my temp requirements mine medium rare my husband medium. I live in the winter or summer as casinos are cool there Dark cowboy low light decor is cozy with several fireplaces.
Price increase may make some not be able to come to this fine place. Should lower price a little!
Fantastic food, service and staff. I couldn’t say enough about this place. From Nadia to Sam and Ben thank you for a great experience again.
Great food, service and staff!
You can’t order a loaded bake potato they bring you cheese and butter and sour cream in bowls and make you fix it. No bacon or chives. Potato was warmed up not fresh. When you order prime rib that’s all you get no sides come with it every thing is priced separate. Use to be a great treat now just ok and expensive.
Hate that they have gone to everything is ala carte. Prices have gone out of site. Would only recommend to people who have and are using lots of casino points. Food was excellent, but there are a lot of good steak and seafood restaurants in the area where prices include salad and side and at much more reasonable prices.
Food was excellent. I chose to eat here by myself rather than go to the ballgame due to temps outside. I felt Very comfortable. Service was fast and efficient. I wanted to try a
KC steak so it ended up being a little pricey as steak dishes are ala crate but it was an excellent steak. I tried the carrot soufflé and enjoyed it. Wish I would have tried the onion soup instead of salad but that was me not sure which to choose I’m thinking it would have been good
Food was very good ...service was not that great...had to wait too long for drinks and waiter didn’t even ask we we wanted an appetizer
The waiter wasn’t the greatest. It took forever to get an order in. Forever to get our bar drinks. He was bossy and told me to take items that I didn’t want because I have a dairy allergy. I didn’t want the horseradish cream for my prime rib because I didn’t want to chance it getting on my meat but he insisted on it me getting it so my husband could have it. I wanted my asparagus sautéed in olive oil but he insisted steamed is what I needed even though it I didn’t because it I knew it would be bland - and it was bland. Other than that the rest oft he serving crew was wonderful and the food was very delicious - except the asparagus which was not prepared how I wanted to begin with.
I've never had the carrot souffle before. I was trying it for the first time and was blown away on how delicious it was. Highly recommend.
Food steak and lobster, salads was great.... service was great.
Excellent service, from seating to the meals end. Expertly prepared high quality food. I suggest the filet, it’s to die for. The best in town! The talent in the kitchen is unrivaled.
We had a great experience for our first time at Great Plains and will recommend to all our friends and family.
Chilean sea bass special was great!
Great service, Great food. Been there several times and will return.
Didn't care for the country fried steak, also the portion size was to large for a single person. Wife did like the steak.
The service & atmosphere was great but unfortunately the food wasn’t what we had remembered from our previous time there. My wife’s steak had too much seasoning on it & her scallops were overcooked, fishy. She couldn’t even finish them & she loves scallops.
This is one of our favorite places to eat! The food is FANTASTIC! The house salad with their homemade parmesan ranch dressing to delicious! Every entree we've ever tried has been fabulous. The wait staff and bartenders are always very pleasant and give great service.
Food was exceptional. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service from Steve was amazing as always. We hadn’t been there for a couple of years due to a move but Steve remembered us and even remembered in great detail where we were from.
Go out of your way to have a ribeye from Great Plains Cattle Company! You will not regret it!!
Your want the best ribeye?! Here it is right here at Great Plains Cattle Company. If you dont know this, your do now but Chef Ben Walanka is the Chef here. He was on Hell's kitchen in season 5 in believe!
The food was excellent as always and Steve our waiter was the best....always does an excellent job!!
Service was great! Comments on prime rib “it’s ok” salmon was dry, dessert was yummy, bread was good but limited. Martini was good. Prices for the Midwest were excessive. Don’t raise the prices during a pandemic.
The Great Plains never disappoints, period. The atmosphere, the staff, the food and the experience is a Class Act. Chef Ben is the reason why I continue to come back. Well done Ameristar, Well Done.
We had our favorite table by the fireplace, and our favorite waiter Steve. Food was wonderful! Thank you for great customer service!
The food was a bit blander than usual. We have eaten here on several occasions and been highly satisfied. Service was fair. It seems they could have used another waiter. Otherwise we were mostly satisfied with our meal.
It was my first time and for being inside a casino I was very impressed how quiet it was and how it felt upscale with being prudish. I was celebrating my 14 year anniversary and we both said as we left that we wanted to come back and try other things on the menu.
Was there years ago and always wanted to go back but when Covid struck last March , was not able to go as planned so this March it was at the top of our goal to make it there for our Anniversary and so glad we did. We remembered that romantic atmosphere and that beautiful fireplace and the food was fabulous as well as the service. Super friendly Staff. Very warm and accommodating ,requesting a certain area and got it. We thank you.
We loved the food. Our servers were great - he brought bread and drink immediately. Loved the atmosphere - very quiet and lighting was subdued.
We came here in January, and have been talking about to others every since. So we came back this past weekend, and absolutely loved it again!!
It was a amazing well needed dated with my husband! We had a wonderful time!
Absolutely my favorite place to eat bar none! Always great food and service.
The meal was great. We split the ribeye and had the augartin potatoes which were excellant!
My Husband and I enjoyed spending our 18th anniversary eating at your restaurant. Our Server is an excellent customer service representative, he was attentive to all of our needs and wants, thank you! The customers that talked to us as we were leaving, were very friendly and seemed to be enjoying their dinners. The food is amazing! I had the prime rib, melted like butter in my mouth. My husband had the ribeye and shrimp special, also delicious!!
Our visit this week was awesome . The sea bass was so good and the shrimp appetizer was amazing. This visit my grand daughter joined us and ordered the loaded baked potato. If you are a fan of a loaded baked potato, you will love this huge loaded tater.
We have been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it; I was somewhat disappointed this time as my ribeye steak was tough. We came later in the evening, so that might be why.
The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Very nice for date night.
The food was great, the service was even better!!!
Pleasantly amazed everyone in my group was pleased a d full drinks appetizers and the dinners were great
