Very good food, do not miss bacon donuts. But, bring your own hand towel because rest room hand dryer will ruin your ears. It is the loudest hand dryer I have ever heard.
The salted caramel short ribs are amazing! Server was very attentive & knowledgeable.
Always great food and great service! By far our favorite place for brunch.
Have been a Great Maple fan since visiting the Torrance location. Food was excellent and my friends had a grest time. Deducted one star for lukewarm mashed potatoes with my dish. Otherwise; great food and great service.
Amazing food. My favorite!
The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars on my dining experience is because the noise level was too loud - made even worse by the horribly loud music that was being piped in to the restaurant and patio. I know you might not be able to make conversation noise less due to accoustics, but for heaven sakes!!! Play better music at a reasonable sound level.
The best maple bacon donuts in the world!!
Excellent choice for out of town guests. Great food and drinks.
Great Maple is a delicious find. It is like a retro restaurant, the noise level is usual high, but if you can endure that, it has fabulous, creative food that is second to none in flavor and quantity. You go once, you will be hooked. It is a very popular spot, so make Reservations! This place is outstanding! More than worth te drive.
It doesn’t matter what time of day we go, I always walk out happy.
Decent value. Apple pie was outstanding. Turkey bolognese needed some seasoning and more cheese. Overall, was a very solid dinner with excellent service.
This is the second time for me for brunch. While the service is great, I wish the menu had a more traditional menu, as I can only find one or two items that are of interest to me. Once you get past the decadent dishes, there isn’t much offered that is actually healthy to eat for a meal. The bacon maple doughnuts are a great one time treat, but the rest of the menu leafy me wanting.
Great service and food
Great spread and service for my wife’s birthday. This is our go to with friends and family.
Food was incredible! Had the Salted Caramel Pork ribs and they were wonderful.
Really good experience for a birthday dinner. Food and service were exceptional. Would highly recommended trying, I know I'll be back.
Well prepared, tasty food; prompt, super-friendly service.
Great food with lots of options. Service is right on. I think it would help if the music level and HVAC levels were set so that the guests in the center of the restaurant are handled correctly. I know servers are moving around but they're not sitting under a constant blast of cold air and speaker placement makes the music blaring in certain places, etc. Nothing more uncomfortable than freezing in a restaurant while you're trying to enjoy yummy flavors with friends.
Love the food, fun drinks and service here. Will definitely come back again with friends.
This place has amazing brunch! One of the best in San Diego. I enjoy bringing friends here that come from out of town. They are always WOWED :)
I hadn’t been to Grape Mapel in about three years. I used to love this place. The staff was always friendly, they were always extremely knowand helpful with my gluten allergy and the service and atmosphere was always on par.
Unfortunately, my trip back was far from what I use to experience, basically the complete opposite. Now, it was Thanksgiving evening, but that shouldn’t have effected my experience.
My experience started with the phone call to make my reservation. The hostess wasn’t friendly at all and made it seem like I was annoying her with my call. She kept trying to push me off to the website (which after speaking with the manager nothing she was helping me with or the menu was on the website). Nothing I was trying to accomplish was able to be done on the website.
Once I arrived, the only waitress for the entire restaurant came over and we began down our journey of her telling me she thinks and it’s possible that things don’t have gluten in certain dishes. I eventually had to tell her to please go talk to the chef and let me know 100%. She still came back and gave me her disortation of reading the menu without confidence of the dishes. At one point she told me that I could get the turkey dish and put the gravy on the side. I had to tell her the gravy isn’t gluten free and please don’t bring it out at all.
The rest of the night continued with not seeing her at all and by the end I ended up having a 30min conversation with the table next to me because neither one of us could get our checks even though we had been ready for a while.
Overall, I am very disappointed and won’t be going back. I didn’t even discuss the food, which this time around was mediocre and not prepared very well.
We started our meal with the crispy calamari appetizer, which was scrumptious. For my entree, I ordered the Beef Bourgogne, which was presented in a large shallow bowl with bright orange carrots, glistening pearl onions, and buttery mashed potatoes with a savory broth. All of this was surrounded by juicy medallions of medium-rare beef and arugula garnish. It was a festive and delicious meal!
We had 6 in our party, made reservations and were promptly seated. Our server was fab!
This is one great restaurant. It’s basically like an old fashion diner, with a moderate noise level. However, the variety of the menu and the amazing combinations make your palette cheer! The French toast is amazing!! The maple donuts heavenly! If you are looking for some great food, this is worth the stop. Call ahead for reservations!
It was great. Food was yummy as usual and service was friendly and kind.
Fabulous food— lovely people—great service!
Love the seared salmon with vegetables and olives. Two of the three dining ordered this. Husband ordered Shepherds Pie and loved it. Also had the apple pie which we all shared which was fabulous. The crust was fabulous. Also, our server was very gracious and attentive. My husband and I eat here frequently but our guest had never had dinner there and ate everything which was a surprise because she is normally not a big eater. We also love the Parmesan dusted
popovers. A yummy meal for all.
Girlfriend visiting me from NorCal
Wonderful late dinner. Staff was lovely. Old Fashioned was fantastic!
It was easy to book a reservation online. They greeted us warmly and was very hospitable. They had coffee and Water while you wait. We were seated in the patron at large welcoming table. The waitress was prompt and efficient. The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely be going back!
I had the banana peanut butter pancakes and it was amazing. Mimosa was a big size, normal water glass size 🤩
I’ll definitely come back on a regular
Seated our party of 6 right at our reservation time. (Even though the restaurant was PACKED due to the holiday) Server was prompt & we got our food so quick! Done and out the door by the one hour mark! (It was a work lunch, so we didnt have the luxury of lingering.) Delicious food!!
When I made my reservation I told them it was to celebrate my twin granddaughters birthday. Nothing was ever said or done by servers or anyone else to indicate it was their birthday, Very disappointing!
OMG. Best breakfast ever! Order the tofu stack with tons of great flavors on the dish. But seriously, everything was amazing.
La comida del lugar vale toda la pena es una delicia! El lugar es ruidoso y apretado pero lo vale por lo bien q se come. Recomendable reservar porq es muy popular y siempre está lleno.
Music was way too loud for so early in the morning.
Great spot with fantastic playful food. Definitely ask for outside seating if you want to have a conversation. It was very loud inside with music, staff conversations and other guests conversing. I love the beignets with lemon curd - it's a must order here! Be open to a slow dining experience with incredibly filling food!
The portions are great and service was even better.
This is a high-energy dining spot. The food is good but nothing special. One would expect larger portions and a higher quality given the price of offerings. This is not a dining experience that caters to those want to conduct a conversation. High noise level! Also, the service was somewhat above average. Water is offered in medium size bottles...which were never refilled. On the plus size, our party was never rush out of this very busy dining location.
Kelly, the pastry chef is a talented, creative and exceptional attribute to the whole dining experience!
