Brunch was outstanding! Every dish we tried was amazing. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant strongly enough. I will remember the chicken in a waffle for a long time!
The food was very tasty. There were 4 of us and we all got different items. Between us this is what we ordered- Fish, hamburger, salad and appetizer (as a meal). Everyone enjoyed their entrée. The alcohol drinks we also very good. Prompt service. Love the little house turned into a gem!
My girlfriend and I went to Grayze for their Valentines Day special/set menu.
The menu was very well executed and we enjoyed everything that we got. We both left very satisfied with our meal and even had leftovers to take with us.
Overall, I enjoyed the experience at Grayze. Food was excellent, service was attentive and I have no complaints with their inside dining room.
Grayze makes my list of places I would go back to eat at again (a very competitive list with all the restaurant options in San Antonio). Next time I would like to be there when the weather is better and enjoy the outdoor eating space that they have.
Very good 4 course meal, crostini was excellent, quail stuffed with sausage very good and rabbit enchiladas top notch topped off with an of the charts milk shake and cookies
I found the food overspiced and not particularly well plated.....
Service and food quality have declined significantly in past few months. It’s a shame as this used to be a gem.
The outside patio was fabulous. Sadly, the menu left a lot to be desired and there was a 30-minute wait between every course with dessert taking 40 minutes after we finished our entrees. Whomp whomp - didn't leave a lot of time for after-dinner events.
Wonderful flavors in everything we ordered and very large portions.
Great place for a large group to gather for brunch. Drink menu was awesome loved the sorbet mimosas highlight of my day. Ordered the chicken and waffle did not disappoint and was able to get a great food pic. Will definitely visit again.
Overpriced, lacking in flavor. They wouldn’t honor the Restaurant Week Sunday Brunch price of $25 on their menu with the Grayze letterhead on the Culinaria website, when we got there it was $35.
The website is very misleading. I chose Grayze because it states on their website “We have created most dishes so they can be vegetarian, gluten free and vegan because we believe in catering to every guest’s needs.” Turns out, our server didn’t really grasp the understanding of vegan needs. And, their idea of “most dishes” being able to be changed for these particular diets, was no more than omitting 75% of the ingredients of each dish.
Please reword your website. I felt like such a burden and was very disappointed I couldn’t eat “most things” on the menu without completing destroying the dish of all its flavor.
Having had many meals at Grayze in the past, my Restaurant Week experience was up to the high standards I associate with their food. The four-course menu offered two to four choices for each course, and I cannot recommend the Brussels and Fried Bread salad, Mussels and Andouille sausage over grits, Rainbow trout entree with grilled asparagus, lemony pilaf, and garlic aioli, and the decadent butterscotch and white chocolate bread pudding more enthusiastically!
Such a find! Four of us / everyone ordered something different & we loved everything! Yummy menu, the sorbet mimosa was over the top delicious. Pier server was excellent!
Great food and drinks! I would go here again and highly recommend the breakfast!
Delicious brunch menu. Wasn’t too crowded at 10. Would definitely come back for brunch
We enjoyed sitting on the patio with our toddler and our dog. The heaters kept us plenty warm
The food was interesting. We went at 5 on Friday evening. It was not busy at all and the noise volume was controlled. The prices are steep for happy hour. Overall the food was are was good and tasteful. The green bean tempura fries were awful — full of grease and the batter didn’t stay on. Sliders had a rich flavor. I’d go back but not on the reg. No designated parking - so you have to park on the street. If you know the area that street is highly traveled but buses, work vehicles and commuters.
When in San Antonio, I always meet my friend here for weekend brunch. A sorbet mimosa on a Saturday or Sunday always starts the meal! The servers are friendly and attentive.
Nice place with interesting food and drinks. Good for brunch.
Great food, great service. Brunch was delicious and yoh can't beat the $5 mimosas
This place was hitting on all cylinders tonight. Great service and food. Grayze seems to get better every time I visit.
Food was amazing. Server had great suggestions and I’d definitely go back!
The entire staff was friendly and you could tell they work as a team.
Every one in my party loved their meals. (Lunch)
Always fun to come to eat. Service a little off this time, but still a great experience
This is the second time I’ve dined here where only one server was scheduled to handle all the tables and the remainder of the staff stand around appearing to have nothing to do. No attempt, that we witnessed, was made by anyone else to assist our server.
Our drinks (cocktails) sat at the bar while a bartender and what appeared to be a manager just stood there watching our server maintain all other tables.
Food was delicious, however, which is what brought me back a 2nd time after experiencing the exact same thing previously. Unfortunate management isn’t paying attention to scheduling or teaching their staff the skill of multitasking.
Daughter in town for Christmas
Friendly staff. Good service. Over-salted food. We had appetizers, salads and entrees. The lighting in the restaurant was so bright and spot lit that it was difficult to look up while speaking with the waitstaff. This was after we had asked for the lighting to be dimmed. Made for awkward evening meal being under the lights like that.
I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could! I look my dad to Grayze this weekend for a Father/Daughter date. Everything from the atmosphere, menu options, the food, and to the service was incredible! The atmosphere was casual & relaxed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile! Statan was our waiter.....and let me tell you- He was amazing!!! We never once had to ask for our waters to be refilled, he gave great menu recommendations, and he was always great at communicating when our food would be out.
We started with the Mac Pastor and the giant grab cake as our appetizers. The Mac was flavorful & the pork carnitas were tender! YUMMY & definitely a must try!
My dad got the Mexican Turkey Torta and substituted the buns out for lettuce. (Statan was very accommodating for the subsitutions).
My dad loved it! Not greasy, flavorful, and it still tasted great w/o the bun!
I had the plethora!!!! Great option for a chilly day! I added Mahi-Mahi and avacado.... to die for and I still had leftovers for the next day! The portions are a great size for the price!
All in all, I highly recommend this place! Perfect for a casual date night, work lunch spot, or just a quick bite in the neighborhood! See you soon Grayze! :-)
Creative and delicious food! We had 3 toddlers with us and food, seating and service was great. No changing table, but other than that everything was amazing.
Food was delicious with generous portions. I love the unique twist to Southern comfort food. Try the Mac n cheese carnitas and grilled Brussels sprout appetizers
Food was amazing. Our server was outstanding! I was in town for an event and went for dinner. It was so good we then went back for Sunday brunch.
Always a good experience here. Sat on the back patio on a beautiful Friday evening--lovely! 'Loved the Mahi entree and the cocktails are very creative.
Brunch was fabulous! Great food, great service. Small inside seating... Make a rez.
We had a brunch item called Wet Fries mine was with brisket in red sauce my friend had with green sauce and carnitas. ... So-so meal ...the fries had way too much salt so along with the tasty red sauce... i couldn't get enough water …More
I had The Bird...the chicken wasn’t very good. The service however, was great.
Had a great time with a friend one evening. We noshed on appetizers and salad. The drinks are reasonably priced and so is the wine.
Plenty of excellent vegetarian options! And pet friendly!
Very good burgers, terrific craft cocktails, casual setting with good outdoor seating when the weather permits, good indoor seating if it doesn't. Chill vibe, unpretentious, great Friday night option. I always enjoy coming here.
My daughter had come for brunch and enjoyed it but this is for my experience. We are from out of town but invited the others that live here. We had a party of eight that they tried to cram into a lace for six although it was not that busy, we asked to slide over another small table that was next to us and the server said she needed to check. She then came back and ok'd the request. Drinks were ordered and came out promptly and the food order was placed. My son in law and I each ordered a burger and I asked for it med. rare and he well done. I believe the kitchen mixed them up as mine was over cooked and his was pink. They had brought ours out along with the braised shot ribs another ordered, we then proceeded to wait a long time for the rest that were salads. The rest of the diners told us to eat so it did not get cold and they finally brought out the last salad as we were finishing out burgers. Very poor timing. On to the food. The burgers were fine and the short rib was very fatty, those that ordered salads seemed happy with their meals. Have heard good things about this place and will maybe try again when back in town. Hope they can correct by then.
Excellent brunch. The food was great. Everything we ordered tasted excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Our experience was great! We went for Sunday brunch and the food was delicious! Our service was great as well. We fully intend to go back and try the Saturday brunch menu.
