I've been dining at Gray's for many years, usually for special occasions. The food is always delicious and the service top notch. The Eggs Benedict was some of the best I've ever had. The house-made Hollandaise, the fresh baked pastries, the au gratin hashbrowns (an Easter special) were all stellar. Their brewed coffee was too strong for both of us but our server kindly brought us a carafe of hot water to dilute it a bit.
Due to COVID they aren't offering valet parking right now but they gave us free parking in the garage. They also graciously accomodated my elderly companion's walker and gave us a different table.
You can't go wrong with Gray's.
Wonderful food presented in a classy way by a knowledgeable server.
Always an enjoyable experience.
Food was great, Nathan's service was better! Will be back!
The food here was great. Jaime did an awesome job making sure we were happy with everything! Thank you, we will be back for Jaime and the food!
Had dinner here earlier this week with my wife. It was a perfectly fine experience and everything was good, but overall uninspired. Nothing wrong but nothing outstanding either. I'd recommend the Hammond instead, for better ambiance and flavor at a similar price point in Vancouver.
The food was unbelievable and the service was some of the best I’ve ever had. The people that worked there were so polite and prompt. Cannot wait to go back!
Open table gave us a 930 reservation when they actually close at 930. They called us to let us know. That was a super service.
The food was good but a little speedy
The food was out super fast like way to fast, I ordered the Ribeye steak rare it came out raw, then they brought me another one to fast.....Also the value of the place does not make sense with the prices!
Still working out the kinks of adding inside dining!
Loved the menu for “dine in the couv”; food was delicious!
Wanted to take advantage of the Dine in the Couve event. Gray’s always has good food, excellent service and appreciate
their Covid precautions!
We had not been to Grays since the remodel. Very nice dining room and comfortable.
The atmosphere was inviting. From entering, to being seated, and our waiter...,.
everything was professional and pleasant. Our waiter was very knowledgable.
Food was presented so well!!!
Sebastian was our server and as always, provides a professional, relaxed dining experience.
Octavia is always a joy too!
We went for the Dine the Couve $25 3 course dinners. Our friends refuse to eat indoors, but here was the PERFECT place. They had a fenced in covered patio with a beautiful fire pit. Our server was very accommodating and served cocktails there. He set up a table away from the road and served us a lucious dinner. Then back to the fireplace for dessert and coffee drinks. We will definately be recommending this place to our friends and go back for more fun on the patio.
I enjoyed Vancouver's Dining month at Gray's. I would recommend it for sure. Great value.
Overall the food was well prepared and presented. The steak was excellent. The best I’ve had in Vancouver WA area. Service was great. Only area of disappointment was the deserts. While good, it didn’t match the rest of the food.
Food was great! Nice atmosphere and great service.
Slow service. Waiter didn’t get the order right.
Excellent service, food and drinks! Very impressed with how kind all of the staff was, the drinks were so good I could have chugged all of it instantly, and the food was not only beautiful to look at but incredibly well cooked. My first time here and not the last!!!!
Excellent service, menu has good variation, deliciious meals with good presentation, and desserts worth saving room for.
Liked that music was not too loud. Would like to see a dish that had less dairy, but overall was very good.
Great food at a very reasonable price. Excellent service and really friendly staff.
We have been wanting to try the rib eye steaks at Grays. Unfortunately, extremely over priced for the quality of the product. The 16oz steaks were cut too thin. Pretty good flavor but overcooked. We ordered a baked potato, it was served cold to the touch. The zucchini spears were terrible/bland. Ordered to Martinis, very good. Dinner total for us was $270 with tip. Service was slow, and server seemed tired or overwhelmed and it was not busy for a Saturday night. Wouldn't do it again.
I love the revival of this restaurant. However, they need to expand their menu and have a little more reasonable prices. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was great.
Great steak, one of the top 3, DELICIOUS! Did I mention the deserts?
We love Grays and their filets are delicious. This time we went for my birthday dinner. While the filet (tenderloin) was delicious, we were very disappointed in the hard, skimpy breakfast potatoes that came with it. We had a side of green beans which were good. They used to serve delicious mashed potatoes with the tenderloin.
Nice menu, great food, great service and ambiance - highly recommend
Our first time in a restaurant since March! The staff was great about sanitation and the food was excellent.
The food was really good,,, but we were seated out on the patio & had to deal with protesters screaming & being obnoxious. We moved our party inside because we couldn’t talk due to the noise & disruption. It was annoying & I probably won’t return until all of this civil unrest blows over. If I’m going to spend $250.00 on a dinner out, I’m going to go somewhere that I’m not bothered.
They need more servers.
We were staying at the hotel and it was the first night of service since closing because of Covid19. The service was excellent however the food could have been better and I just put that off to it being their first night.
I picked Grays for proximity and as I knew it was a generally quiet place, suitable for the discussion I intended. Outstanding as always, with some great new menu items.
I will be submitting a private note to allow the restaurant a chance to correct the issue.
Saturday night, Valentines Weekend dinner with my husband. Service was very slow and lobby seemed busy with perhaps girls and chaperones from a dance competition. We like to go here because we can hear each other talk during dinner as there are no speakers directly overhead. The lobster bisque was remarkable. The tenderloin and salmon were delightfully presented and tasty. Would recommend for couples who want to linger and take time.
Due to some recent surgery, didn’t want to travel far from home. Not a big fan of eating in Hotel Restaurants due to lot of work travel. However, I would go back to Grays in a heartbeat! It was Valentines, so service was a little slow, but the attention we received was excellent and our server was very good at providing good recommendations.
The food was 5 Star! My wife ordered the Beat Salad, very fresh Beats and great presentation, I ordered the French Onion Soup, it was the most unique French Onion Soup I ever had, and by far the most flavorful. Our Entree’s, were just as awesome as my wife had Bacon Wrapped Prawns served on a bed of grits, just as good as you would find in the South, I ordered the NY Strip Blackened and Medium Rare, it was perfect and the mashed potatoes were just perfect and filling. Lastly we ordered a side which wasn’t necessary but we did, it was a side of Brussels Sprouts, they sat in a great cream sauce and topped with perfectly cooked bacon.
There is no reason to cross the bridge and go into Portland, Oregon, Grays is a Top NW Restaurant right here in #TheCouve. Great Job Grays.
First time there for me and my wife. Great service and food. Friendly waiter and other staff was attentive as well. Great experience for first visit.
Service was very slow we waited 30 minutes after being seated to see a waiter. Everything was slow from there.
Every restaurant has an off day and this might have been theirs. The service was "glacially slow". We sat at the table for at least five minutes even before a glass of water showed up. The waiter serving the table showed up after 15 minutes and asked for our drink order. We decided to order our meal immediately because the time needed for the drink order followed by a meal order would have been much too long. If this the norm, then don't bother eating at Gray's unless you have lots of time to kill...and bring a snack to tide you over until they show up to serve you. Also, the noise level did not help the ambiance. Excellent food, nice decor, expensive and very slow service.
Great as usually. A favorite go-to spot.
Excellent service, nice setting, nice presentation. Noise level was high . Will request booth next time. Few prawns on salad. Tons of greens. Great balsamic dressing! Overall, flavors were very good. Husband said pork chop was tough, but tasty.
