While I think it was great to give all the mothers who work for them Mother's Day off, it wasn't the best choice business wise in my view. Service was horrible, and our first server (they shifted off and on between three of them struggling to keep up) told us that they were overwhelmed not having the female servers who are "the fastest".
Excellent service, great atmosphere - we started with Cavatelli Bada Bing for an appetizer - deliciously rich and quite entertaining to watch the preparation. Our entrees were excellent - overall a lovely dining experience.
Not a very good experience. Waitress appeared to be going through the motions and it was like she didn’t want to be there. Brought up the oil for the bread along with the main courses after we had eaten the bread.
Restaurant was very quiet, even for a Monday night. Two of the main courses were not very nice. Complained about one and was told price would be removed from bill, only half was.
On the plus side wine was half price and was of good quality.
Waiter didn't appear as quickly after meal presently as I would have liked, because my main dish was lukewarm and lacking in spice or meat (lasagna). Partner's meal good. Salad was nothing special (house) and way too much dressing (was not asked if I wanted it on the side). Also, salad had a pile of chick peas -- unusual, and I don't care for them. Bread good, but infused oil tasteless --infused with what?? Told the waiter it was my birthday and our first time there...also had made reservations (open table). He didn't seem to care and never offered us dessert, etc. Didn't even sing (though I was not unhappy about that.) When I told the waiter my meal not hot, etc. he took it back, it returned with meat sauce (spaghetti?) poured over it and hot. Also parsley sprinkled on plate. Better but odd. Wine was good -he did recommend it. Bit overpriced -- good thing it was half price! Good timing on the meal --didn't feel rushed. Creme Brûlée tasted of lemon (which the menu did not specify) and I don't like lemon. BuT it was room temp, so that was good!
Love!!! Get the Botta bing! And top it off with some lemon cello in the end. Wonderful experience H
The food was delicious as usual, but this night the service was below par. The restaurant was very crowded and this could be the reason, but it seemed as if our party of six was being neglected.
The food, however, seems to always be the remedy for bad service.
Great value. We dined at Gratzzi early because we were going to hear the Orchestra. The early bird is a superb and inexpensive meal and they have happy hour prices on wine and other beverages. The quality of the food is extremely high and the cost is low especially with the early dining feature.
The BadaBing is sooooooooooooo great. Do not miss it. They offer it as an appetizer but I asked for a dinner portion and was so glad I did. If you love cheese then you must have this dish. The people are always so nice and the food never disappoints. I highly recommend Gratzzi!!!! It is always my first dinner stop when I go to St. Pete.
Delicious food. The salad was really good. It was fresh and my husband even ate the garbanzo beans! We appreciated the recommendations our server, Steven, made. Great dinner.
The escargot appetizer was to die for. The escargot was served in a red sauce that was sublime. The portion size was shareable. My husband enjoyed his Caprese salad appetizer. I had the veal piccata which was well prepared and again, a generous portion. My husband ordered the Zuppa di Pesce and he was wowed by the seafood and portion size. Obviously we had no room for dessert. It was a most memorable meal. And, lastly, but also contributing to our experience was our waiter and the other service staff - all well trained with just the right amount of attentiveness
Surprised when gift certificates could not be honored due to equipment malfunction. I would take extra precautions to avoid this computer glitch.
Food is very good but prices seem high for the area. Delightful to sit outside but hard to catch server’s attention for things like water refills, etc. Would return if others wanted to go but wouldn’t seek it out on my own.
A little dark but food was fabulous
Stopped in for an early dinner prior to a Rays game.
We had simple dinners, but the quality was excellent. Service was spotty, somewhat surprising, given the few diners in early.
Perhaps a little pricey, but overall, felt we received good value based on the quality of the food.
We love this restaurant! It was our anniversary and as usual Grattzi did not disappoint.
Great food & evening. This restaurant never disappoints.
Wonderful restaurant with incredible Italian cuisine. Most staff has worked there for years, which says a lot about a business. Highly recommended.
Everytime I am in St Pete I take all my friends to this restaurant and its always amazing food and fun enviroment- great to catch up with friend and have a great evening here at this location.
We came here for our anniversary. I read comments before coming, so I knew they were not going to do anything for our anniversary, we were ok with this. They had a special for salad or soup, dinner and dessert for $18. We did not order this but mamy people were. Started with the antipasta meat & cheese for two. Great variety of cheeses and meats. Wished they would add crackers or offer more bread. Main dish, I ordered chicken bella and mu husband ordered rigatoni with sausage. Both dishes were very good. Would come back.
My sister & mom are visiting St. Pete for a Swim Meet. And I was in charge in planning meals and this was our first dinner in St. Pete. We decided on carry out instead of eating out due to late arriving into town. Aaron at the bar took care of us. We took our food back to our hotel and realize that we didn’t get our pizza. We had our dinner anyway & We loved it. I called the next day and the owner/ manager was very happy to right the mistake and we picked up lunch the next day. We wanted to have our last vacation meal this Friday but their were no openings. Until next time.
Great dinner, great server (Steven), great experience for our out of town guest. Perfect booth as requested on Open Table. My wife & I enjoyed the veal Cosa Nostra, and our guest enjoyed a gluten free pasta dinner. Couldn’t have been better. A nice Italian wine with dinner made the evening complete.
Thanks to Dominick for running such a great restaurant!

Nice break from outdoor dining in the scorching heat and humidity. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great menu. You've got to try the "Badda Bing" appetizer, plenty for 4-6 to share
I love, love, love Gratzzi...at times we find it noisy.
You can tell the salads are pre-made and stuck in the refrigerator. Was very disappointed with that. However the pasta meal was very good but way over priced. I always enjoy coming but this time was just eh.
Very nice place and food was very delicious I would love when I get a chance to go back again
We celebrated our 43 wedding anniversary it was a non event. The appetizer stuffed mushrooms amazing. The seared cast iron ribeye had grizzle.
I told the waiter it was our anniversary. I would not go back.
I do recommend the Lemonchello dessert.
But beyond that walk on by you have too many choices in downtown St Pete.
We LOVE this restaurant--and have for our 8 winters in St. Pete. The most consistent quality food and service ever!
We did Early Bird this time--only slight disappointment was that the choice of type of pasta could not be changed on one of the entrees. We got 4 different entrees, each deemed delicious! The bit of carrot cake was perfect!
Always enjoyable romantic atmosphere... excellent service and fantastic food
We always love Gratzzi! From the friendly greeting at the door by Dominick, to a nice booth for two across from the bar, to our favorite server (Steven -“Fergie”), it was a great way to celebrate my birthday. My wife enjoyed the mushroom raviolis with shrimp and lobster special, while I stuck with one of my favorites, veal Cosa Nostra. From the Good, fairly priced wine list, we chose an Italian red blend that Steven served whenever our glasses were low.
Great event g, great restaurant!
Early dining for $18 with entree, salad or soup, bread and dessert. All delicious. And happy hour drink specials were generous. Waiter was first class and the restaurant was very comfortable. We will return.
We ate their twice on our 5 day stay in Saint Petersburg and loved it. Our favorite restaurant in town!
Gratzzi was the perfect pre-show dinner. The food was great and the service was quick!
Only thing broader wine selection for bottles would be ideal. Everything else was perfect.
I lov Gratzzi’s but prices are getting out of my range.
We really enjoyed our dinners as well as watching at table cuisine.
Love this restaurant! Food and service are amazing!
We go there all the time. Very consistent and delicious.
Our reservation included a note that it was my birthday, but there was nothing done about it. I would rate this all 5 stars except for this
Great food and cocktails with superior wine list . Ambience nice too not loud . One of my favorite places in St Pete
We dine at Gratzzi every year around the INDYCAR race. As it’s always packed during this time, we made a reservation almost two weeks in advance. We arrived on time, yet were seated 50 minutes after our reservation time. We politely informed the waitress and manager of this issue, and they were kind enough to comp our drinks and apps. While the wait was extremely disappointing, the food was divine, our waitress was excellent and we had a great meal.
