Grato's menu offers locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality, and include fresh pastas, a variety of rotisserie items, small plates and wood fired pizza. The Mediterranean design feature open airy spaces, large windows, wood, Cararra marble, iron and stoneware (custom pieces handcrafted by local artisan potter Ronald Shaw) to create a welcoming, approachable ambiance. Gracious service standards evoke a feeling of familiarity. An open kitchen with a wood-fire oven and large rotisserie add to the warmth, and provide an entertaining focal point.

Grato Ratings and Reviews
Great local restaurant. Fresh, funky ambiance - can get noisy when really busy. Great for families, as pizza is their claim to fame, although lots of very good, fresh pasta dishes give adults something to like as well. Good wine list, good beers on tap, bar gets crazy busy during happy hour. Waitstaff is professional but very personable - we haven't met one we didn't adore. You must have the waffle dessert - THE BEST! We are lucky to have a nice place for Palm Beach island locals to enjoy that's a bit more upscale than Flanigan's.
Unfortunately the restaurant was understaffed in the kitchen and we waited an one and half hours for three meatballs and fried rock shrimp. The meatballs were not hot. They were able to get us pizza, but after that we did not want to wait anymore. They only charged us for the pizza which was accommodating. Not a good dining experience. We were hoping to celebrate New Year's Day with a nice dinner. NOT.
I’m a pizza fanatic and yes taste is subjective. Roasted Cauliflower dish was delicious. For pizza I’m partial to Napoli 00 flour for the dough and San Marzano tomatoes which have a naturally sweet flavor. The 00 flour was good quality but I’m not a fan of tomato sauce sweetened with sautéed onions or sugar. The pizza overall was quite good but would have been excellent with better sauce.
One of our favorite restaurants. As usual, we had an excellent meal. The roasted cauliflower is always a hit. Everyone loves the fennel and citrus salad. Followed those appetizers with several varieties of pizza - can't single out one as the best. Staff was, again as usual, professional and friendly. Great meal!
I enjoy going to Grato for the food. However, a meal with only one glass of wine will run you close to $80. We're talking a simple pasta and one pzza and a salad. That's it. Brio in CityPlace has an awesome happy hour specisl before 7. Love it. Our new fav.
Great as always. Excellent craft cocktails to begin then I had the bucatini carbonara - I order the carbonara at many Italian restaurant and this was truly the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the butternut squash ravioli with lobster - also excellent. Very busy but service was outstanding. We will continue boating Grato each time we come to West Palm Beach.
One notable - I almost always order it - Mushroom Pizza. Its only 12 inches but is THICK with all sorts of tasty mushrooms. Simply the most outstanding item on the menu. Service was a bit inattentive this time and we have been here many times. It was our first Brunch however.
Our second time at Grato and we like the food very much. Only problem is we ordered the littleneck clam appetizer. We ordered our entree's about 3-5 minutes before the clams got to our table. Our entree order was a pizza and the lasagna - something that should have taken at least 15 minutes to cook and present. Unfortunately there was a similar order already in the works and they brought our entree's about 3 minutes after the clams had arrived. This made for an awkward and less than exceptional dining experience. A manager came over and apologized but offered only that - no solution or compensation to make the event more memorable. Will go back but will be very careful when ordering. Hope they can straighten this out for future diners.
Don’t waste your money on this one. It’s basically a pizza joint with high prices. Think of a Grimaldi ‘s and you’ll get the general idea, but double the prices. Went on Saturday at 1:30pm and received the Sunday brunch menu, which only had a handful of items, mostly pizza. When we asked for the lunch or dinner menu, the waitress came back to tell us, they are only serving from the brunch menu, I wanted to leave but rest of the party wanted to stay. The waitress said that she was not told that today was the first day they were serving the brunch menu and she was late to work because brunch starts a half hour earlier. A normal sausage 14” pizza was $19. And what would be a side salad at other restaurants was about $9. This was way too expensive for what it was and I can’t remember a time where you couldn’t order from any menu no matter the time. Save your time and money, go elsewhere, they don’t care about their patrons.
We asked for a quiet table and I think we had the best one in the restaurant as it is quite a busy place. ( FYI, it was a corner table by the restrooms) Our server Spencer was wonderful! The only disappointment was i really, really wanted their antipasto salad which is only offered now during lunch. I ordered the Italian salad which was very good too but would have been even better if they would add some parmesan. Their pizza is very good as well. It’s valet parking only which doesn’t make a lot of sense as it’s not a busy area, but the valet was very nice as well. It’s one of our favorite go to casual Italian restaurants in WPB.
Noise Level was "WAY" to loud .Could not hear wait staff giving specials presentations. My meal was awesome special Beef Short Rib, very tasty. Bar Tenders & waitstaff should get well versed in the making of a good Irish Coffee. the experience both last visit as with this visit was less than stellar, seems like they should brush up on a good recipe, the first time I came to Grato ,a young male waiter told me that they did 'NOT' serve Irish Coffee, as they were "An Italian" restaurant, Laughable, and this time we had to explain the Ingredients to waitress ? other than that its a great restaurant
Again a great experience. Food that tastes as if some one in the kitchen has their heart in it. The new version of the Cauliflower appetizer is certainly an improvement. There was an error of the florets that was proactively taken care of before we were made aware. Oliver the manager was also proactive with my reservation as my Open Table ressie did not register with them. He was also working the room extremely well. We will be back.
Was our 4th time- stopped for an early dinner on the way to bringing Our daughter to the airport. Shared the roasted cauliflower appetizer – was delicious with a bit of a kick. (Loved the frozen Moscow mule!) My husband and son shared the carbonara and steak – Both wonderful. Daughter had Bolognese – excellent – I had butternut agnolotti- absolutely wonderful. Server was excellent made good suggestions, helpful when needed but not hovering, & Made sure we had the check promptly so we could get out in our allotted time frame.
Look forward to going back again – not an extensive menu but everything on it is always done incredibly well!
