Great food and service. Nice choice of sides that they let you substitute. Reasonable prices compared to a lot of restaurants these days. Really nice kids menu, and they get a scoop of ice cream or candy at the shop next door after the meal. Normal check process in the end, with no pad demanding a tip as the waiter stands over you. Just a great menu, meal and service. Exactly what you want from a restaurant.

Super delicious and great atmosphere. Fab Waitress who also gifted us an appetizer to try. All staff was attentive but not interrupting. Brought a friend for first time visit, she will come again.

Megan was our server. She was pleasant, attentive, and helped us enjoy the experience. The food was good. I bring my team of 6 people here for lunch every do often. On this recent visit, the food was particularly good. The tuna poke, miso salmon, and pork belly were mention worthy. The chocolate brownie was a delicious dessert to and the meal.

Our server, Stephan, what is very attentive and friendly. Did a great job the salads today were especially delicious. The restaurant surprised my girlfriend with a slice of Keylime pie with a birthday candle. We were both surprised. It was a very kind gesture and appreciated, and the Keylime pie is delicious.

Food is not up to par, example: My Wife ordered red beans and rice. She has visited New Orleans many, many times as she has family there and knows well what red beans and rice should be. The dish served was nothing more than a dish of chili with a scoop of rice on top. We showed this to the manager who simply said this is the way we make red beans and rice. One of our guests ordered chopped salad with chicken, it came with no chicken. Had to wait for another plate to arrive, in the meantime others had finished their meal. The restaurant is well worn, especially the restrooms. This was our first visit and we are not inclined to return.

I’ll have to remember not to order the chicken salad sandwich. The seed- flax bun is always hard, and very doughy Not much chicken salad was put into the sandwich. It was mainly a doughy bun. Also, my french fries could’ve been warmer. Service always good.

We arrived about 20 minutes prior to our 5pm reservation time, so I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to be seated within just a few short minutes. The staff was very friendly and on top of every detail. Our appetizers arrived quickly, as did our dinner. All of our entrées were perfect and enjoyed by each guest. The children's entrées are a great value- ours came with the main dish, a side, fruit and a coupon for a free scoop at Sweet Provisions. I felt that all of the menu items were very reasonably priced, especially for the food and the location. We will definitely return when coming down to the Valley!

Good food. Too many jalapeno items on the menu, limits choices for those of us who don't like spicy stuff. Noise level perfect for the young crowd, makes it seems like a happening place. Too loud for us geezers, though. Especially considering how busy you were, the servers were very attentive and on top of things. You have good people working there.

We had 3 servers: 2 young women, who were gracious, kind, and accommodating; and a young man who was gruff, incompetent, and lazy beyond belief. He acted as though our presence was an inconvenience, interruption, and a waste of his time. He spilled a lot of water on the table when giving us water and made NO effort whatsoever to clean the spill. Apparently he is not happy working there. So, if you get a young male waiter, then run as fast as you can. His behavior was the most negative part of the experience. Maybe he was having a bad day but if so, then he should not have worked that day.

They seem to have a problem honouring reservation times. Booked a 7pm business dinner, they had no tables available until 7:20. So just be aware you may stand around for 20min even with a reservation. Food was ok, nothing special. Whiskey Sour looked terrible. Table services was excellent.

My favorite dish at Grassroots is the Farmers Vegetable Chop. The Flavors of the different vegetables blend so well together as well as being extremely healthy that I always order the large size for two meals. My friend with me said her Nordic Salmon salad was outstanding. It’s a bit crowded at times so you definitely need to make a reservation at the lunch hours. In better weather sitting on the patio is perfect. This is a place I look forward going to.

Been coming here for years and it's been a steady decline as chef as built the empire...food quality mainly the issue. It's gotten inconsistent to say the least. Servers are always really good which between that, and the kids menu with the ice cream is the only reason we come back but it's getting tougher. Love the locally owned, but kitchen needs some love.

Excellent food. Very good service. The chairs make way too much noise pulling in and out and the noise level was overall above what I prefer due to the lack of sound baffling. Service staff could be more cognizant of this to improve the overall experience with adjustments to their own communications. But these are small issues in general.
