Grape Ratings and Reviews
Very disappointing! We’ve dined at Grape about 10 times over the past year or so and had always enjoyed the small plates and menu variety. In the past month they revised the menu and in doing so just added a lot of burgers and dropped all the interesting menu choices.
Extensive wine list and pretty good food. We were visiting North Scottsdale, and were looking for a casual place to eat. My wife found Grape, and with a little research, it sounded good to me, too. Decent service, somewhat creative menu, and lots of different wines, as one might expect from the name. Good value... recommended.
I've been going to Grape for a few years- seems like they changed menu- more casual- kids eat free. It used to be packed for dinner on a Friday night. Hardly anyone in there now. For being a wine place our server admitted she didn't drink wine and only "heard" what wines were good. Doubt I'll be going back. Ordered the zucchini fries- thinking they would be chef prepared- looked like they cam out of a bag and were fried up-something I could get at Apple Bees. Very disappointed.
We went on a Saturday night and it was not as busy as we thought it was. Was surprised it was not busy with the great location and look of the place. The food was good though my burger was a little over done but my wife loved their Lobster Ravioli. We would go back again.
Service was excellent but the restaurant was very quiet that night. Food was good and a slightly different take on old staple comfort food. Portions were a touch small for the price. I would have liked to have seen larger appetizer portions for what is charged
What a welcome surprise! We booked this a bit last-minute and didn't have a lot of time to read up on the place before going. Overall, we were very happy with the quality of the food and drinks. The meatloaf and shrimp & grits were both way above average. The wine list is extensive, but very approachable. We had the cappuccino pie for dessert, which was also really good.
After so many recent disappointments, Grape was a welcome discovery and a place we look forward to visiting again in the near future.
The Grape Team consistently delivers amazing food, wine and service! The menu is unique to North Scottsdale and the evolving wine list includes old favorites as well as new, obscure selections. We typically go on Tuesdays when bottles are half-price. The Happy Hour specials are also an exceptional value. Cheers!
Even though no one was facing the windows, the glare from the windows was miserable-they need some kind of see thru shade.
The chairs were somewhat uncomfortable after awhile so we all left earlier than we wanted to.
2 people had grilled chicken and both said it was slightly overcooked and dry. The bun on the rib sandwich was soggy and could not support the meat which had a lot of sauce on it but was very tasty-had to eat it with a knife and fork.
We all enjoyed the food but hope for some correction in the bread. Sweet potato fries were excellent.
We have had dinner here more than 10-15 times during the last few years.
The service was amazing at our first few visits.
Our server during our first few visits was a tall gentleman who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and observant.
Over the last year we have noticed a decline in the service. We had dinner here a few months ago as well as most recently a few days ago.
The service has really declined and is never consistent. We either don't have a server for 10 to 15 minutes, or we have a server who seems disoriented or confused.
The food comes out quickly and is very good which keeps us coming back.
During the last visit that we were here for dinner, one of the servers put his hands inside the back of his jeans and pulled his jeans up in front of us while we waited for our food. We felt a little sick at the thought he might be touching our plates, but at the time we were so hungry we made ourselves forget about it. If the service improves then they will have more customers. The food and wine is good so this is an unfortunate situation for the restaurant.
This was a real find. The menu was very nice, plenty of options to chose from depending what you are in the mood for. I had the dover soul with lemon caper sauce--delicious. My husband was very please with the risotto special with shrimp. Nice wine list, too.
We will definitely return.
Was looking for a different restaurant to try north of the 101 and we found Grape. We were greeted and seated quickly. Great food and service. We had the crab ravioli and bolognese. Will definitely visit again to try different dishes. Great selection of wine too!
We have been to this place many times and it never fails to please!
The flavors are so yummy and the staff is so welcoming...owners are always on site and fully involved with the guests!!
As you might imagine, great wine selection, priced right!
Please, please, please support this great little gem...you'll be glad you did!!
This has become one of our favorite places. The food is always great as well as the service. We go now about once a month. Feels like family is serving us. We have yet to have anything questionable or bad happen there. The menu is diverse yet not too large. Great wine list at fair prices. Entire staff is great.
