About
We are known for moules-frites, steak au poivre, delicious brunch and an impressive selection of Belgian-style beers - which include umpteen 750ml bottles, rare Trappist beers and inspired randomness from around the globe (and of course some local beers too).
We really enjoy beer, food, our guests, our staff, and our neighborhood. We’d love for you to be a part of the enjoyment!
Food is better than ever! Best fries in years.
We love it there and food is always amazing!
Mussels were better than ever. Beer selections were outstanding, especially for those (like me) who like Belgian-style beers, but there's something for everyone. Frites used to be ineffably wonderful here, but they are still pretty good. The combination of food, beer, atmosphere and unpretentiousness makes GM's a place we come back to again and again.
Excellent service and great food at a great price! Their Belgian fare is fantastic, and you could make an entire meal of just the appetizers.
Best muscles in DC
Always love Granville Moore’s, the atmosphere reminds me a lot of Europe pubs, where I went during my summer holidays in UK. Mussels are always spot on. Perfect place to bring a date or two.
Great food in a traditional pub atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Best frites on this side of the Atlantic.
It's more a bar feeling than restaurant but food is delicious. Beers are great. And we took two small kids but they love mussels and this place has the best mussels in DC!!
One of the best evenings out with friends. Great food and service and atmosphere was cool and chill. Will be back !! Our waitress was amazing. She wrote out a list of foods to avoid for my friend with a number of food allergies. It was a really thoughtful, very attentive and appreciated approach. Thank you! Granville Moore’s is excellent. My vegan burger was awesome as were vegan Brussels sprouts. Everyone in our group was raving about how much they loved the place I mentioned we have theatre tickets and everything was done in a non rushed manner, so we could make it on time.
Great little staple of DC and a favorite of locals.
Finally a restaurant quiet enough we could actually hear each other
I haven’t had a bad meal, or experience, since they opened years ago.
Been coming here for years and it’s still a great evening.
I had the blue mussels and they were delicious. The service was great and very attentive.
GM is a funky, atmospheric cafe with unique beer variety, interesting cuisine but limited menu. The mussels and bread are a special treat. Casual dining in a place that can easily feel like home.
Very friendly staff. You don't have to sit at the bar to get happy hour prices for your drinks. The other person in my party is a big mussels fan, and she really enjoyed the mussels.
We went for the Monday Mussel Special. It was excellent, make reservations, they get crowded fast. The service was excellent, very attentive. The Lucifer beer was the best!!! And their frites were great! No complaints what so ever!!!
Getting together with 2 of my best buddies more like brothers on a much needed weekend!! Had a great experience service was on point and the food was matching!! Love me some Greenville Moore’s ever since you guys beat down Bobby Flay!!
Excellent location for dinner with friends. Quaint pub atmosphere with great Belgian beer selection. Mussels Bleu are not to be missed.
This is my favorite restaurant in dc, the best mussels, you won’t regret it
Grandville Moore's is a quaint Belgian pub with a large beer selection, including many Belgian beers. They have a good selection of domestic craft beers, too.
The gnocchi mac and cheese was excellent.
We had the traditional mussels, as well as the thai and coconut. The frites were excellent as well. We had the classic mayo dip and the curray dip, which were also quite good.
It was good. The mussels were fine. The accompanying bread was fine. The frites were just okay. The brussels sprouts with cheese had to be sent back the first time as they were hard as rocks but they came back with a new one which was fine. Also - it is grungy in that Old Europe way. You really do feel like you are on the Continent and stumbled across a hole in the wall place. Except the service was so very pleasant, helpful and attentive.
My favorite restaurant in the DMV - fantastic food, great beer, wondeful staff!
Wow! Great service, amazing mussels. Highly recommend the bleu and champignons. Two-three people can share a side of frites.
One small minor nit .. I wish the bread was a little better. It was not crusty enough .. but in the scheme of things it is a very very very minor comment.
Feels like my very own H St. haunt to take friends from NW and give them a feel for a funky alternative to regular dining.
Mussels are great! House Rose is wonderful. Just visiting DC but been here two times in a week. The bread is also fabulous, I could’ve eaten a whole loaf of that. You do need to make a reservation very few tables.
Great food. Great service. Draft beer list was disappointing. Too limited. But the facility itself was very shabby, walls, paint etc.
Yes, definitely, small quaint spot, great service. My burger was too rare so the nice waitress took it off the bill. My husband who LOVES belgium ales had a grand time... trying out new types.. The waitress was very helpful suggesting some he would like. My sons enjoyed their food and drink too. We had a great time. Would come again.
Great food and vibe. Beer selection is extensive too.
The food was amazing I will definitely be back
Delicious as usual!!
The mussels alone were to die for!
Monday’s are $12 mussel pots, so that’s really the only reason I would refer anyone to GM. The service was subpar and it’s literally a bar, blasting classic rock (which we were cool with). There’s absolutely not even one frill, so if that’s your jam, this is your place. I think GM would be ideal if you were out for the night, drinking, and dropped in for another beer and food.
I haven’t been here in years. Good food but quirky customer service as I remember. It’s great if you like traditional DC customer service that you might remember from the 1990s or early 2000s; otherwise, don’t expect too much or you’ll be disappointed.
I love this place and always try to find time to swing by when I am in town. Food is usually outstanding from mussels to burgers. This past time, however, was disappointing. Fries were mostly soggy and my broth was tepid. For what I paid and usually expect from this placve, wasn't quite up to par.
Excellent food and service! We had poutine, mussels and the Rueben sandwich...all top notch!
The service wasn't as good this time. It was Mother's Day and they only had 3 servers on for 2 floors. I received the wrong order which wasn't brought out until we were almost finishing eating. I asked for it to be boxed to be told it is against the law in DC to take shell fish out the restaurant. I go to mostly seafood restaurants and never had this issue arise.
It was a bad idea to come here for Mother's Day. Years ago, my wife fell in love with the mussels here so I figured we'd return. The place was far to nonchalant for my liking of a holiday brunch, but that part was my fault for picking a grungy place for brunch. But still, the food was mediocre and the service was poor. They weren't that busy and it took us an hour to get our food. My wife's waffle was burnt. The only good thing I can say is that mussels were still good.
Mussels were excellent in particular the Italian style and the blue cheese one. Absolutely recommendable.
