I've eaten here many times both on weeknights and weekends. Really enjoyed dinner. The small bar is always filled but not too loud. The dining areas are very comfortable. Great service by Kori. You can tell the Chef takes care preparing your meal.
The food was well prepared and tasty and the service was first rate. We did not have to wait long for our dinner. After dinner, when leaving, the hostess took the time to chat with us about the history of the Centennial Inn. We were celebrating our anniversary and felt that the atmosphere was just right.
Excellent food and ambience. Half meals provide a good value for light eaters.
Service was slow to start. Food was very well prepared but portions were very small given the price.
My girlfriend hit a home run with her choice of restaurants. The Granite proved to be the perfect place to celebrate that special occasion which happened to be her birthday & our engagement. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, the service well timed, & the food top notch. The North American Buffalo was, "fall of the bones" tender. The chef obviously took great care in the presentation of each dish & the live entertainment was also a nice touch. We both truly enjoyed our leisurely romantic dinner at the Granite.
I enjoy eating at the Granite because I know I will have great service, a delicious meal, and a long leisurely time to visit with my friends. It is my go to dining experience when I want some luxurious.
Cory was an excellent server and the food was great. wished that there was a little more vegetarian dishes to choose from, but excellent all the way around.
Dessert took too long. I was already done my coffee and it had not come out.
The food & atmosphere is always delightful
We come come here for special occasions like Valentine's Day, birthdays and our anniversary. We also enjoy just dropping in. The food is always delicious. Our server this time was Corey and he did a great job paying attention to our needs on a busy night. We loved the Arancini, the soup was delicious and our filet was cooked to perfection. We had a great night, as always.
The menu had been updated since we were last in. We ordered the crab cake, quinoa salad, and the scallops. Unfortunately all of these items did not meet fine dining expectations, as the flavors and pairing were not as complimentary as they had been in the past.
Just excellent all around experience. Brie, our waitress , was attentive, helpful and added to our experience. Food is always good here. The check can be pricey but half options can make it more affordable I'd that's a concern.
We sat in the dining room next to the bar. Service was good, but the cocktail I ordered was forgotten even though they were not that busy.
There were 3 of us, special appetizers and salads were great options, and the meals were delicious. I had the gnocchi special which was perfect , and the buffalo short ribs were excellent as well.
Will definitely return next time I’m in Concord.
Nice people - slow and confused service - mediocre food
Nice restaurant with a varied menu
We like the half portions
Salmon was fantastic and the roasted duck
Granite has really upped its game lately -- love the updated menu!
Food and service were fantastic. Only draw-backs: the dining room (at lunch time) was very chilly. Several patrons, including myself, ate with their coats over their shoulders. Also, the seats of the chairs are a bit deep for an average size woman, negating the ability to rest the back on the back of the chair...tiring and not very conducive to a relaxing meal.
Delicious...love the new menu. Anna was great.
Excellent New England Chowder in an upscale place in a beautful inn. Amazing intuitive waiters and a menu with options for everyone. This is my new favorite place.
Been twice and great both times. Will definitely be back!
I had never tried duck before, the server was very helpful giving me his opinion on what the taste and texture is like, as well as suggesting to what done-ness I should try duck at for the first time. He was right in the mark with both his description and suggestions!!
Great place for special occasion. Really like that you offer 1/2 size meals. Service and food was
great. Have been coming here for the past 5-6 years during the holiday season and have never been disappointed.
Wonderful as always. I love the option for a half size portion for salad and entrees.
This was the fifth time I’ve eaten here and as has been the case, the service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was great as well! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Wonderful meal, very capable friendly server....dinner was not rushed nor did we wait long. Love the old building...thought buying the wine by different ounces was perfect. Salmon was wonderful and the filet melted in my mouth. Very relaxing enjoyable meal.
I have given this restaurant many great reviews, but for Sunday brunch I think I hit them on an off day. But. I will try again, because of a long history of great food.
This was for my birthday. My wife and I both thought this was one of the best meals we have ever had, and we have been eating out for a long time. We will definitely be back!!
I have been dining at the Granite for more than 17 years and this meal will be my last visit. The charm and elegance of the staff is gone; the waitress was more suited for a diner than an upscale restaurant. The menu has lost its adventurous appeal and overall quality. The kitchen did not make a dish correctly and one meal had to be returned. It is disappointing to lose the Granite as a dining choice.
Good food in a lovely setting. glad for the half portion desserts
I like the location and ambiance here. However the evening we went the waitress was maybe having a bad night? Not personable what so ever. The clam chowder was like water and bacon. Very poor. Now the good part.... great wine selection, the filet mignon was like butter, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. They have a really good bar food menu too. The hostess in the front was very friendly! The wait staff should be much more personable and friendly we felt.
I have not written a bad review in a long time and I normally wait a day so I am calm about it.
Our server was downright rude, she pronounced the name of a wine wrong and I corrected her and it was downhill from there. She dripped wine when she poured it, spilled part of a martini and never apologized or checked on us once meals were delivered!!
1st the restaurant has a bunch of Wine Spectator excellence awards but was out of the first Pinot Noir I picked, didn't deliver the other. I changed to a bottle of nice burgundy and it shows up warm... Wine Spectator you need to do a better job.
Dinner on a Monday I realize not alway getting the chef, most likely the sous chef or below.
Scallops and Risotto which local friends recommend. Scallops cooked well, Risotto was mush... I mean mush!!
Wife got the pork chop, it was cold... not luke warm when it arrives cold and a glaze look of I have been sitting for 10 minutes in the kitchen look to it.
I will say the gnocchi appetizer was very good and imaginative!
Check arrives and low and behold 2 bottles of wine on the check, one I didn't receive and the lukewarm one I did ...
I didn't make a fuss as we were with friends who picked the restaurant and I didn't want to embarrass them. Granite I hope this wasn't your best foot forward and just a Monday glitch because it was bad and if I was a food critic or a Wine Spectator critic you would of lost your rating!!
Was very disappointed.we were 15 minutes early. They made us feel like we had done something wrong. We asked to sit at the bar(second mistake). Bartender acted like we did not belong there. Refused to give my wife a taste of wine that a patron sitting next to us suggested. When we were finally seated the waitress made us feel very rushed. My wife’s dinner was over cooked. My plate was not plated as described in the menu. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!!!!!
We had dinner at Granite two nights and we generally enjoyed it. We especially liked the scallops and risotto and the lamb lollipops. The buttermilk fried chicken was nice, but we didn't enjoy it as much. We thought that the bibb salad and the salmon were fairly bland.
The restaurant was pretty quiet, which we appreciate since so many restaurants are so noisy that it's hard to enjoy the experience. One night there was a two-piece jazz band, but it was low-key and not a problem. (The music wasn't to our taste, but it was low enough not to bother us.)
Both servers who helped us were very attentive and that helped as well.
Our new favorite place in Concord! What a wonderful birthday evening for 2!! Great service. Great food! Great atmosphere!
We were there to have a date night (which is rare for those with kids as we all know). Everything was perfect--my only wish was that our 2-top table was smaller which seems like a funny request--we had a hard time talking quietly to each other and then hearing each other as we were sort of far away from each other.
Amazing customer service!
I visited this restaurant twice during this stay. My dinner experience was that the food was well prepared and the service was outstanding. I did find dining area very noisy which at times made it hard to have a conversation. The bar is located within the dining area and it was a Friday night. I also visited for brunch. This time it was not as lively, so it was easy to have a conversation. The service was slightly below average. I would give the food an 8 out of 10 rating. It was slightly cold and over cooked. I did not think the value was there. So, bottom line, I would recommend this restaurant highly for dinner, but would find another place for locally for brunch.
An old friend and I often meet for lunch halfway between our two towns. Granite has moved to the top of our list.
Everyone loved their meal - I did feel mine was REALLY SALTY
Lovely evening spent at the Granite restaurant at the Centennial Hotel learning about history of this wonderful place. After a tour of the turret room in the hotel we started our meal with a delicious cheese plate, wonderful blue and cloth bound cheddar. This was followed with a round of appetizers and a main course of pan seared scallops with risotto. There is also a very good wine selection.
A shared cholocate dessert finished a wonderful meal, searved by a able and attentive waiter, Kory!
I recommend you go as soon as possible!
