Sunday Brunch: 10am-2pm
I have eaten there many times before, but this visit was very disappointing. The service was very slow.
The salad that my wife ordered for dinner was pretty awful. The greens looked like dandelions, were not crisp and were very bitter. Not a good experience. Waiting for the bill added 20 minutes.
I had a reservation, and it was honored immediately in spite of the place being very busy at lunch time. Our server was very good and paid the right amount of attention to us as we visited. The food was excellent, although I thought that it took an awfully long time to bring a sandwich and wrap. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to others.
I had the grilled mahi tacos and they were very good. My husband had the crispy shrimp tacos and the heat in the sauce was so overpoweringly hot that you didn’t know there was shrimp on the tacos. The salsa tasted like chunky ketchup. It was very disappointing. The server was friendly and polite, but requested extra lime and never got any, and it took a while to get our check.
We absolutely loved it. Food was delicious, and there was a great variety. We can't wait to go back!
Food was hot timely and the service was excellent!
We had a fabulous time. Good friends and food. Our server (I can't remember her name :( ) was fabulous!! The only thing we didn't like was the cheese sauce. They were obviously some sort of processed cheese and just kind of blah. Otherwise everything was great!!
Servers are very good but front desk attendants are not do agreeable.
The food and service was great. I was expecting typical bar type food but the food we had was several steps up from that. A little noisier then I would like but the food and service will bring me back.
Five of us went here for Thanksgiving, and had their "traditional thanksgiving dinner", served family style. We hadn't eaten at this restaurant before, and weren't sure what to expect, but all of us agreed that the food was wonderful as well as plentiful (our waiter was quick to replenish any of the food dishes when we requested a refill). Service was good although our waiter got off to a slow start (but in fairness we all agreed he must be fairly new, and the restaurant was crowded, so he was busy with other customers), but improved as the evening went on, and he was very friendly and apologetic when necessary, so it really wasn't a problem. They also offered an extensive beer selection (it's a brewery, after all) as well as a nice selection of mixed drinks and wine and the noise level was acceptable. Never having ordered off of their regular menu nor having been there during non-holiday hours....if our experience was typical, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Everything was good, except the waitress was incompetent! She said it was her last day! Like we couldn’t tell!
My wife and I have been here at least 50 times and the service has always been good. On this occasion we where hungry so we decided to order an appetizer. It seemed that we where going to get the appetizer with our meal but not only did it not come with the meal , the waitress forgot we ordered one. She did however offer it for free to go. I usually get the Bison burger no onions and no tomato well this time it came with onions. I don't know if they where extremely busy or the person was new but this is the only bad experience we have ever had at this location.
The booths were a little small, and the noise level was a bit louder than we would have liked, but the food was very good.
PETE is an amazing server. My husband loves Modelo but wanted to try their brews so Pete mixed a couple their craft beers to make something similar in taste. He loved it so much, he bought a Bulls growler and plans to go back and refill it often.
My lunch combo was fabulous. Our service was great and prices were great. Not too loud either
food was deliciou
Sunday Brunch was good, one dish (pork) was overcooked and dry, and the smoked salmon looked "dead", but the rest of the food was fresh, exciting, and tasteful. Staff and service were always attentive and helpful.
They have a great beer selection for microbrews and good sports bar TV area... lunch and appetizers are fantastic and pair well with beer choices.
Absolutely wonderful experience from staff to food to service
The bar area was REALLY LOUD. Conversation was challenging.
Although a friendly wait staff, we were served food minus forks/napkins. I had to find someone not our server to provide.
Ill give them another shot.
Delicious food and fabulous beer - that's why we come back. The poutine on their seasonal menu right now is amazing and my husband's favorite poutine outside of Canada. We were not in the main bar area so it was nice and quiet. We went on a date but would feel comfortable bringing our preschool aged child in the future.
Discovered a excellent vegetarian burger option, (Beyond Burger), would be hard to distinguish from a beef burger.
As always, good food, great service. One of my favorite places.
We went here last Sunday due in part to its proximity to the shows at the Street of Woodfield. The hubs had his bison burger and enjoyed every bite. I ordered pork tacos and man were they good: the flavors were fabulous. I always have a hard time deciding what to order as the choices are so yummy.
I visited the ladies room and there was the hostess, ensuring the place was clean and supplied.
Decent prices, wonderful service by our server Chris, and great food.
Love this place.
The brunch was great. Value really high
we love Granite City in Schaumburg - great food, great service
Had to wait 30 minutes for the table we had a reservation for. Apparently our pager wasn’t working? The waitress was good, food was good, a bit too noisy. Overall it was good not great.
Great food and impeccable service. Regular visitors. Thanks!
We like going to trivia nights here. Food is average and a little pricey but the host of Trivia Guys is great and we always have good service by the Granite City staff.
There was a piece of a steel brush in my burger. Besides the life threatening add-ons to my burger, they didn't prepare it the way I asked. My mom's shrimp were under cooked and gray. The next day she was sick
My husbands steak was a bit tough. They did remake it for him.
never had a problem good service never have to wait because we use open table . Others are waiting and we walk right in.
Flew into town to visit friends and we had dinner here ... the maple wood bacon choices on the menu were great, good beer selections which includes their own brews. Overall we had a great meal, was on a Friday evening, we were glad we had a reservation!
Hostess was wonderful as we needed to change tables at the last minute. Food is good value and tasty. It’s very noisy though
The food was fabulous but was almost outdone by our impeccable server, George. I usually look at a menu and hone in on exactly what I want and order it. I forget most people wander through a menu reading every item. George was patient and informative to us all. He also would check in with us appropriately through the meal but was not invasive.
I had the Oktoberfest Jaegermeister - caraway seeded and breaded pork tenderloin - accompanied by orecchiette shaped spaetzle. Oh my word. This tasty amazing wonderfulness was accompanied by roasted Brussel sprouts and yummy red cabbage. The pork was cooked to a crispy perfection and topped with a very complimentary mustard cream sauce. The spaetzle was light and so delicious in butter and herbs. Sigh.
My friend #1 had shrimp Asian tacos and she ate every bite. Friend #2 had the chicken sandwich from the Oktoberfest menu and pronounced it excellent.
I don’t get to Schaumburg often but I will be back here with the hubs next time.
Decent food, average beer, but our server was excellent and made the experience delightful.
Had a group of 10 people to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The place was very busy and noisy, with lots of energy. Food was above average and our waiter was super nice. Our only complaint is that everything took forever. Waiting 20 minutes for a drink seems excessive. We also waited well over an hour for food. If I go back I would avoid Saturday night.
Wanted to like this restaurant but it was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation. Food came to the table cold. My husband ordered the jambalaya and it was cold and rice was crunchy and undercooked. Fairly pricey.
Not very good and frenzied: noise level high, tight tables and mediocre food.
Service was great. Food was good - a little salty and the brussel sprouts were a bit greasy but definitely flavorful .
Don’t get any of the salmon dishes. I could smell the old fish smell even before the waitress set the dishes down. The cauliflower appetizer was good. Wine selection was very limited. Waitress rushed us thru meal. Would have ordered more drinks but the bill was on the table before we finished drinking the ones we had. Tons of kids. Very noisy place. Maybe better in the bar area and stick with sandwiches.
Seating, even with an Open Table reservation, was very slow. Otherwise the overall rating would have been 5 stars.
