It was awesome they were friendly and clean and have amazing food!
Normally this is a good experience, but the last couple of times have continued to deteriorate. The food was beyond subpar. I do not expect to return. Many better options available.
Waitress wasnt very attentive, rushed off twice as i was saying something, never came back to check on us or if people who joined us wanted anything.
Decent place to eat in the area. Menu is big and the microbrew that I tried was tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Food was just ok, nothing special. I had mahi-mahi tacos that were good but the salsa that came with the chips was like ketchup with some chopped up onions. Why not spend an extra 25 cents on decent salsa? We ate outside and even though the restaurant is in a mini mall noise wasn’t an issue and the outdoor setup was quite nice. Overall good for a chain restaurant.
The service was good, the waiter was attentive and very friendly. The restaurant did a really great job with social distancing and the entire staff wore face masks.
I ordered the all you can eat fish on Friday. The fish initially was very tasty however, I quickly realized it was mostly batter and very little fish. I started peeling off the dough and literally, the amount of actual fish in each piece, amounted to no more than bits, pieces and crumbs. If you like a few flakes of fish with your batter, then you will love it. Otherwise, don't bother, or alternatively you can have them bring you about 8 pieces and spend the time peeling the batter off to get one filet.
Very crowded, people were not wearing masks while waiting or walking through restaurant. Food was subpar. Drinks were okay. We sat outside and had bugs all over us. There was a super loud party of 4 next to us. We made a reservation for 7:15 and waited almost 25 minutes for our table. What's the point of a reservation if we can't get seated when we arrive? Will not be returning..
Service was average . Several times our water glasses and drinks were empty.. The brussel sprout appetizers werenot crispy enough. We would go back because the rest of the food was very good. My favorite was the Asian shrimp tacos.
The ambience of the patio at sunset off the pond was fabulous with dinner!
Great food, great beer and nice atmosphere! Love this place!
This was our first time to the Granite City in Northville. We sat at a high top in the bar area. We were fortunate enough to have Cynthia as our server who was nothing less than amazing. My boyfriend and I were so indecisive on our appetizer and dinner choices but with her help we were very satisfied with our appetizers and entrees. She was very attentive, friendly and an excellent waitress. Thank you, Cynthia!!
I hate to leave a poor review because maybe it was a fluke bad meal. I arrived with my husband and we got some happy hour drinks and Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. I remarked how I was impressed the menu wasn’t limited and it was the first date night that felt like a real restaurant ambiance during covid. Drinks and apps were good but unfortunately I had an extremely disappointing dinner. I ordered the salmon and it was the worst salmon I have ever had eating out (and I have had a lot of salmon). It was overcooked to the point of being chewy and dry and sat a top 5 burned asparagus and clearly microwave rice. I am not exaggerating that the rice was the process bagged rice. The salmon had no flavor and was a slab of salmon with no seasoning next to a cup of uncle Ben rice. I know suppliers are different for many restaurants but you can still prepare your own ingredients. What is crazy is that all of the service and drinks were fine but this dinner was so horrible I am not sure I will ever go back.
Went for their $5 burger (or chicken sandwich) and $5 pitcher of beer they're doing on Mondays. Really good food and a great value! Service was excellent! Our waiter was more worried about how long our food was taking than we were. We'll definitely be back!
Even though we had a reservation we were forced to wait. I had requested a high top table but was seated in a booth since all of the available high tops had not been cleared/cleaned. The host failed to give us a food menu, or tell us how to access a mobile version, but did make sure to tell us about some raffle that was going on that day. While waiting for our server to arrive, a steady flow of people were walking past our table to a BUFFET which seemed rather appalling during a pandemic. When the server finally arrived, she placed waters down on the table by holding on to the tops of the glass directly touching the rim. That was the last straw and we decided to get out of there
Went here because of gift card I received was greeted at the door and politely asked to wait for our table to be ready. 10 minutes timeframe 7 pm.
Did not get a drink for over 15 minutes, and server never came back for our order for another 10 minutes or more! Apps: Brussels sprouts, way over cooked and to much vinegar! Don’t order those! It was downhill from there......will not return......oh and that supposed signature drink flying monkey.....unless you need your sugar to be raised fast stay away from that too.
Food was off tonight .... maybe short servers, ours wasn't very attentive...the plus is that the manager always stops to chat :)
The food was amazing. Highly recommended.
Slow service. Food was cold.
This place is always amazing never disappointed when I eat here with my family. All of the staff is very welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat!
Not as good as it use to be. Food is definitely lower quality & seems all the regular employees are gone. We did have a manager waiting on us & she was wonderful.
Good service from Thomas - friendly but could have been a little more attentive.
Food was good, but pricey.
Requested “no lemons” but got 2 big wedges. 1st order of fries wasn’t hot so had them remade; had to request ketchup. Ran of tartar halfway through entree but couldn’t find Thomas so ate last 2 pieces of fish without it.
When we checked in, 3 women at the host stand were very confused about where to seat us... One said she it would be a few minutes - she needed to clean a table. Why were they just standing around when there were tables which needed to be cleaned for the next guests?? When she returned, she asked if a table was ok & I said “yes, because that’s what we requested on our reservation....”.
I have a CHRONIC COMPLAINT with this restaurant (which I’ve discussed previously with management)- they refuse to correct it & accommodate my husband’s disability. He’s very hard of hearing so (on our reservation) I always request “a table, not a booth, in the quietest area”. The quietest area is the small room behind the host stand, where I (ONCE AGAIN!) asked that we be seated & AGAIN it was denied!
Instead, we were seated not far away - our waiter certainly could have served us in the quiet room! We were at a split booth/table right in the middle of the busiest area, by a speaker playing loud music with parties seated in every available booth in our row. For some reason, they clustered the customers together during the pandemic!
When the hostess showed us to the seats & asked “is this ok?”, I said “no, not really, because you’re ignoring my request!”. She put the menus on the table & walked away.
We spent the meal playing a game on my phone since it was too for my husband to hear me talking.
I also noted on the reservation that we were celebrating a special occasion (my birthday) but, as with almost all restaurants, it wasn’t acknowledged and we weren’t offered anything to celebrate. Why is that even listed as a choice?
This was our first time eating here. We started off with waffle fries as an appetizer and it came out warm.. not hot.. but it was good. We had the turkey burgers and fries and it was very good!! Here’s the thing they have’t figured out an good system because of COVID. We waited like 30 minutes plus for burgers, the pickles were missing and the waiter only checked on us like 2 times.
The burger and sweet potato fries were delicious - no ketchup needed (not that I wanted any) and the porter was right up my alley, given the selections available. I'm not sure the meal was worth $20, though I enjoyed the outdoor seating and distancing among the tables was just right. I did feel badly for the servers and hostess, since they were not able to remove their masks while I and my fellow diners were allowed to do so.
our server was terrible, just a very rude and nasty attitude. I think it was Sherlock. 5 women and he charged us for a automatic gratuity of 20% on each bill????? Are you serious? Plus I was hungry when I got there and tried to order food but he refused saying he was only doing drinks "right now"..... really? I guess it has to be Cynthia, Connor, or nobody. If he's my waiter again I'll probably just leave.
Granite City always does a good job. New menu is good and some of the favs are still there
Food was mediocore. Couldn't use my birthday coupon (buy 1 get 1 free entrée) on the 5.00 burger deal, which is ridiculous. The add-ons to the burger all cost extra...my husbands burger would have been more expensive then the entre he ordered, while mine would have been cheaper then what I ordered, so the restaurant would have come out the same financially, but given us patrons the food we actually wanted. I ordered the bock & cheese, it was bland and was missing the bacon. Our server was new. She was very nice & did a decent job for her first night, but she never asked our food was or offered dessert to us (I would have mentioned the missing bacon if she had). I will say the brussel sprout appetizer was tasty, and the drinks were good. This is the 3rd time I've tried this restaurant (brunch, lunch & now dinner). Each experience as just been OK. I won't go back again.
Good food and service, everything ordered was perfect and everyone had a great time.
I had the pasta Boke? Maybe butchered the name but it was one of the best I’ve ever had! Amazing
Took my husband and 3 children for Father’s Day. We were extremely satisfied with the entire experience. The food was so flavorful. We had the Salmon, ribeye steak and Classic cheese burgers. Everything was delicious. Definitely found my new favorite restaurant.
Food was delicious and service was exceptional
Disappointing THIS time. Has always been good but the family style experience did not work out. Unfortunately our server was not attentive and did not really suggest or offer all of the available options. My recommendation? A checklist not unlike what you have for ordering your incredible bloody Mary's! I believe it would cut down on waste and get the consumer what they WANT to eat. I missed out on my rumchata french toast because #1 i forgot about it and #2 i was ready to leave. BUT we'll be back because i know that visit was an anomaly.
The Covid procedures were great actually. Food and environment were very relaxed.
Great service and the food was prepared perfectly
Great food and atmosphere. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We'll be back soon.
In light of the coronovirus, the staff and management did an excellent job. They provided gloves to use for the tongs and had the staff personally bring clean plates to the table.
The Sunday Brunch is always delicious. The salmon spread and shrimp are my fav’s.
Bathrooms are clean. Wonderful experience all around. This was my 3rd Sunday Brunch here so I can say they are consistently wonderful!
Overall good. Kitchen needs to learn to plate food correctly. Server was inattentive.
Great service, great food, friendly atmosphere.
Waiter was very attentive, visited our table throughout our dinner to see if all was what we ordered and if we were satisfied. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to all who are hungry looking for a great meal.
Arrived at my reservation time and was given a pager to wait for a table, noise level is unbelievably high, food was just ok. Screaming child also at next table (who brings a child to a brewery?) . Good service by our waitress who was very attentive and friendly.
At one point the buffet was almost empty. Also if would be nice to know what beverages if any are included in the price.
Gets very crowded, reservation time was not honored. Service was awesome once we finally got seated. Disappointed this visit.
