Fabulous booths! Great food and great service. Decorated really nicely for the holidays! Will go again!
Very casusal dining. Would choose somewhere else. Hostess wearing a t-shirt was not impressed!
My French Dip: The meat was dried out, bread was hard & dried out. Companion's steak was not medium rare like he ordered, his fries were not hot. Maybe the orders sat under the lights before the waiter brought them out...don't know. We were a party of 4 so it wasn't like we had 8 - 10 people. Won't go back.
Granite City was a disappointment. The place was packed at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon which resulted in slow service from the bar and food server. There were several groups of people that stood at their high-top tables shouting at each other in order to be heard. Looking back, we should have turned down the table in the bar area. At least the food was hot . We will not return.
There was a big snow storm that night so our waitress said a bunch of people cancelled their reservations so we were thinking good...not going to be busy and should have excellent service and food. The appetizers were cold, both of my daughters killed a few fruit flies. There was one in our drinks that when we pointed it out were told “oh yeah, we know” speaking of drinks, the published prices on the menu were like 8.69 or somewhere close......we were charged 10 a piece and we had 5 so overcharged and their blend was mediocre at best. The dinner was served room temperate so for the price of the entire meal, we won’t be going back again. It was my daughters 30th birthday and she was excited to go there.
Great service & good, hot food. Would have preferred green bean casserole instead of the asparagus. Our guest cannot eat asparagus so that was a bummer. Also, we had reservations at seven not knowing the restaurant was closing at eight. They were also out of pecan pie :( and two of the four of us do not like pumpkin pie so we missed out on dessert. Probably would not have thanksgiving dinner there again.
The terrible meal we ever have for thanks giving in maple Grove, lot of missing items, ugly display presentation of the food, fruit flies everywhere, dirdy table and silverware.the turkey was pressed reconstituted (not heven) a real rost 🐦 Bird.
We will never go back to this place never again!!!!! Very very extremely dissatisfied customer.
We were there for Thanksgiving at 5 pm. We got the last of the rolls and they were out of pecan pie. Seemed early to be out of things. Pot roast was almost all fat - very hard to enjoy. Much of the food was cold.
Not one of the better experiences I’ve had here. Probably in part from the holiday meal and the staff being stressed and overwhelmed and in part I feel like GC has been lowering some standards to compete with other restaurants - it is a tough industry to compete in, but you need to stick to your values to avoid being like everyone else.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner with my in-laws. Leah, our server, was excellent! The family style presentation was good and offered a nice variety; wish we had a slightly larger table because it was hard to make room for everything. Also, the noise level in the small room was extremely loud, making conversation difficult. Next time we'll opt for the bigger room and see if that makes a difference. Other than that, we had a great experience and look forward to returning.
Family style thanksgiving dinner
Brunch was very unique and fun for the kids with the build your own doughnut bar and more.
Great value for Sunday brunch. Great ro have an Eggs Benedict bar and carving station. Very busy.
Parking is a nightmare. We had a 7 PM reservation to celebrate our anniversary when we got there someone Who walked in the door 10 minutes after us but also had a 7 PM reservation came in and was seated 15 minutes before us we waited an extra 20 minutes to get seated. That put a little bit of a damper on our celebration
We had wonderful service and food.
Great variety on the menu and great service! The Sunday brunch is great as well!!
Terrible experience. Appetizer and meal came out at the same time. All cold.
Drinks took 20 min to get.
Won't be back.
Food and waitress were very good, but we were bothered by some fruit flies around our drinks, and because it was a busy Sat night, we waited a bit longer for food; but we kept ourselves busy chatting and catching up!
A little noisy but drama from the Vikings game probably created much of that. Steaks were great, fish and chips pretty soggy and fries were cold. Our waitress was awesome.
Food was great! Had a good time.
Beer was great, food was just okay for the price point.
Everyone enjoyed the evening! Service was great, food well above average
Food was tasty and service was good. Tables are packed in pretty tight for the Sunday brunch, so moving around was a little tough.
Granite City has fantastic food and awesome service! Their servers are super attentive, even when they are really busy. They have a great happy hour too!
Decent chain food. Good menu and everything was tasty. Just thought it was a bit overpriced for a casual chain
Loud environment- menu had variety of options and appeared to have been updated recently.
The Brussels sprouts were delicious while the rest of our meal wasn’t very good. Server was good. I felt like we waited a lot for each step of our visit. We could of been gone at least a half hour sooner than we were.
A full range of unique and standard menu items that are well prepared, presented, served quickly and taste very good. We're going back, often!
I always have a nice time at Granite City, food is good and decent prices. Lunch special is a good deal at $9.99 .
Your brunch is amazing! Love the juice choices for the bottomless mimosas. The hashbrowns superb, the fruit was fresh and the omelet station has a good selection of ingredients. The new donut station was a nice touch.
Maple Grove MN - Really painfully slow service (15 minutes with no greeting/water - then another 10 minutes for napkins & forks). I did not get a second plate intentionally because I have integrity and didn’t want to share the all you can eat brunch privileges. Yet we were made to feel like we were criminals because I “got caught” giving my mother-in-law (who didn’t order the brunch) the shrimp off my one and only plate. Good tasting food though if you have patience...
The music was way to loud, we could hardly visit. The room was chilly, would have been great if the fireplace has been on. Food was excellent.
Craft Stout beer was very good. Dinner very tasty. Server was not pushing us to order or finish. A very nice night out.
Tried new food and enjoyed it and enjoyed our time and drinks
Food was great. Not a fan of their menu set up now.
Lawless brunch is the only brunch I want! Our server was accommodating without being overbearing. Our mimosas were never empty and being a buffet I always worry about plates stacking up, but he took such good care of us and ensured our table was always cleaned up.
Granite city - never disappoints! Excellent food and desserts
Spouse ordered the Ponzu Salmon and it was cooked just right! I ordered the steak and frites but was informed by the Mgr that the Kitchen had run out of this entree so I ordered the ribeye steak with steak frites. Steak and frites were very tasty!
