We visited Grange Kitchen for our anniversary. The overall experience was superb! My husband had the burger, I had the walleye. The food was exquisite.. melt in your mouth happiness! We both enjoyed the Bourbon + Bubbles, and he finished with a John Daly. While the prices are a bit much for a weekly visit, it’s worth it for special occasions! 10/10 stars, definitely recommend, and we will return!!
Great as always!
The food here is amazing and always tastes so fresh. The servers are also very nice and the restaurant is quiet.
Service was great, food was superb, place was very clean and the ambience is the best. Highly recommend.
Service was great. Food was so so. We ordered fish and the quality was poor.
Grange Kitchen delivered exceptional food, in a challenging time. The atmosphere was sophisticated, and likely quieter because of the capacity constraints, but always lovely and the service was impeccable. Thank you!
Delicious food, great to be back in one of my favorite restaurants! Everyone was far apart, all wearing masks, great experience!
Outstanding experience. They take covid very seriously and we felt very safe. Everything from the wine selection, the delicious appetizers to the amazing entrees was top notch and fresh. Will be going to Grange again!
We haven’t been to Grange in several years (babies!) but checked it out for a date night and what a treat! The menu here has some consistent classics (Scotch Duck Egg) but is always changing based on what sort of local veggies and proteins they can acquire. Love that everything is locally sourced! Our meal was great and we will be back!
Excellent service and fresh, local food. Felt very clean and up to date on all COVID protocols.
Separated dining areas for covid compliance and food/drinks/service was excellent
Truly Farm to table with a frequently changing menu and a focus on local, fresh ingredients. Everything we ate was exceptional and the duck fat house cut fries are the best "guilty" indulgence I have done in a long, long time. Be careful though...you won't be able to stop at a few!
Only criticism would be that the cocktail and wine prices are quite high even compared to similar restaurants in Ann Abor.
Overall, highly recommend this place for a family dinner, work group or romantic date night...Loved it!
We've eaten at Grange about a half dozen times over the last few years and we've always left delighted by the creative locally sourced menu, expert preparation, and friendly service. With a well-selected wine list to accompany the enticing variety of dishes, you will surely find this downtown Ann Arbor establishment most satisfying. I ordered the Nut-encrusted walleye in wild mushroom ragu: the fish was perfectly cooked - flaky and moist, nicely seasoned and the thin crispy tasty crust made it sensational. The mushrooms added a wonderful savory umami explosion of flavor that really complemented the fish. My wife opted for the local lettuce salad that she found fresh and tasty, as well as the home made chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon. Delicious. Our server, Cassie, took great care of us and made the experience a total delight.
Chicken was very tender. We had a better dining experience pre- COVID. Choices were fewer. We will be sure to review the menu before we make another reservation.
The dining room was set up in a very Covid friendly manner with reduced seating and partitions between tables. The food was excellent! Though priced in the average to high range for Downtown A2, I thought the value was great for the food. Simple but elegant preparations with a Farm to Table ethos that comes through in the memorable flavors that will hasten you return.
Concerned at first, waitress was not very friendly, however will assume we were 1st clients, by end of meal she had warmed up and was enjoyable- Would recommend, a little pricey but worth it :)
Our food and service were amazing. Everything came out fresh and hot, we sat outside on their patio and it was a perfect early fall night thanks to Grange.
Wonderful in every way except that diners froom the next restaurant were smoking and
inevitably smoke drifted over.
Food fabulous, drinks fabulous.
We came for our anniversary and last dinner in Ann Arbor, since we’re moving. We’ll really miss the Grange! We love their food and service - best in town. I had the perch dinner and the light breading and delicious baby potatoes and scape sauce were perfect! I almost licked the plate. My husband loves their duck and enjoyed it one last time. The only thing we missed were their homemade ice creams, which weren’t available this time. The Grange is wonderful.
I already recommended Grange to a friend who loves good food and I already made another reservation for next week to eat at Grange again with another friend.
Casual and calm atmosphere with excellent food which was robust, full of lasting flavor, and High quality. If you only go for the duck fat fries and the Scotch duck egg, you may just have your very first food-gasm.
We had a very good burger, top quality beef well cooked (medium rare) very tasty.
Great outdoor seating option!
Restaurant was very accommodating and provided great food and service
Wife and I had a beautiful upscale, cook to order by professional chef, farm to table experience. Wait staff was experienced and professional ( and fun!)
Would recommend to anyone not willing to go to Chicago or New York at this time, looking for same.
Really great service, setting, and drinks. Being honest, the food was rather bland. The shrimp Etouffee completely lacked any spice at all. If you’re gonna do New Orleans you’d better make the dishes spicy!
We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious and the service attentive. There is nothing better than to celebrate a special occasion with good food and the Grange continues to deliver on every aspect of fine dining. It has always been one of our favorites and our recent experience reminded us of why. The Grange is a special place and never disappoints in having a great meal. Thank you Chef Brandon for sharing your talent and for keeping this ‘jewel’ alive for us to enjoy every time.
Jordon was an awesome server and gave us an amazing experience. Our food and cocktails were interesting and delicious. We will be back soon!
Our waitress was wonderful! Don’t be in a hurry as it was a lingering slower experience but worth it. The food was delicious!
Possibly the best Walleye that I've ever had. And there were 4 of us who all ordered it and that was the consensus!
They are doing all of the right things at the right time.
Outstanding! As always, just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
We dined there at Valentine's Day. They had a prix fix menu with four courses. We were given menus when seated. The server then walked up and said, "Are you ready?" No discussion of menu or drinks. Oyster course was just fair, a mishmash of flavors. The trout course was bland. We desperately searched for the pickled chilis noted on the description to try to add a little flavor. The juniper ice cream was good. Not the experience we were hoping for.
Service was exceptional. LOVE that the food is locally sourced, and they can tell you where each item is from. Very Portlandia. Creative desserts that I was skeptical of at first, but what a surprise! Really, really excellent. I brought a friend after picking her up from DTW, but I would make the trip to AA (and hour from my house) again and again!
2nd time. Excellent just like 1st time
Fabulous food and opportunity to gather with family. One is vegan and able to find good options. Our server was fantastic.
We were there for the first time during Restaurant week and it wasn't very busy. They seated us upstairs which is rather dowdy looking and a long way from the kitchen which became obvious when our entrees were stone cold. Appetizers and soup were very good. Our server was attentive and friendly but dressed like he was going to park my car not serve our table....actually most valets are dressed better!
We'd give Grange another try...seated downstairs. Just okay.
Very nice atmosphere with wonderful lighting and table placement. The food was delicious from the vegetarian options to the meat and fish. We were there for restaurant week. Some people might find the first and second course portions on the small side, but our entrees were generously portioned. Service was very good as well.
We’ve been here before and loved it,,but this time... EVERYTHING WAS BAD! The drinks were bad (I ordered a Negroni, it had vodka in it!). It took forever for our food to come, and when it did, it as cold and unappetizing. The service was mediocre and unapologetic. I don’t know what happened tonight, but it was truly awful. We will not be going back to the Grange.
Great food and place for a date night! Restaurant week menu offered a nice variety.
