I had the duck, which was superb. The wine list is interesting, featuring a number of Michigan wines, which are well chosen and in keeping with the farm to table theme. The service is friendly, efficient and informative. For anyone interesting is excellent food, Grange is a splendid choice.
This was a first visit after a recommendation from a local foodie. The space is nicely decorated and in a good location in downtown Ann Arbor. The service was overall good, perhaps a bit less attentive than what I've had at similar places. The food options are good and I applaud the use of locally sourced ingredients. The food, overall, was not quite what I would have hoped. It was not bad - I would say uninspired and bit flat is the best description. I don't think I would return as there are so many other options for the price point that are better. Maybe we just got them on a bad night.
I ordered the duck while my wife ordered the Tuesday fried chicken special.
The duck with fennel and roast pears was a nice combination. The flavors blended very well.
The Tuesday chicken special was generous and tasty. How can you go wrong with fried chicken? It was big enough to share. In the future we may share the special with an additional side or salad. That would leave room for some good looking desserts.
I like the atmosphere at Grange. A nice place to go for dinner but attire is very casual.
My only complaint was that my scotch on the rocks was very skimpy compared to similarly priced restaurants.
Local, fresh food! Excellent trout.
The food was wonderful and the dinner was a great. Loved the farm to table meals and the cocktails were unique, interesting, and delicious.
Great food great service. Lovely ambiance
Great food in an intimate setting. The service always good and the quality of food is top notch.
Great brunch experience with creative options and good portions.
Very ordinary. Duck was dull. Bench seats very uncomfortable. Waitress way too busy. But, liver pate was good.
Very fresh and quality ingredients. The food is delicious. Reasonable brunch menu prices. They have good cocktails. I haven't tried their lunch or dinner menus, but their Sunday brunch menu was delicious!
First time. Food was very good
Flies, little ones, big ones, everywhere!!! Food was ok, duck fat fries are ways killer. Pasta wasn't cooked correctly.
Our reservation was for 2:00 brunch on Sunday. Food served looked “tired.” Toast wasn’t even toasted. Soggy. Super salty bacon. Even the Bloody Mary’s looked bare. One olive on a toothpick for garnish. Disappointed.
Wish more of the regular menu was offered at brunch. But very good!
Really loved discovering Grange Kitchen & Bar and will return again when in Ann Arbor. Definitely recommended
Excellent service and food. Food was very fresh and the chicken dish was to die fir
In the future, my friends. And I will he asked to be seated in Audrey’s Section. I’ve dined here often in the past, and Audrey’s service was always impeccable. She just “feels” like Grange’s farm to table experience. The young lady serving us this time around, was not as attentive and didn’t know as much about the farms or foods.
Small “farm to table” restaurant with relatively limited menu but very good food. Seating both wooden and metal is very uncomfortable to ensure you won’t linger too long.
Not horrible but most definitely not great. Steak was extremely fatty and much of it inedible. Chicken was quite good. Pasta extremely buttery and not at all complex flavors. Service fine but nothing special. Overall a pass in my opinion.
Great dining experience! Hop to go back to try all the dishes.
My husband, grandson and I enjoyed this restaurant for brunch. The food was excellent, though choices were somewhat limited. Ambiance was very casual, which was just what we wanted. Service was good but they probably could have used one more server for this meal as the two that were there really had to hustle.
However the quality of the food and vegetables was very good.
We had a great time at Grange. The food was great (duck liver pate is awesome). But the best thing at Grange is dessert. Chef Melissa makes the best ice cream in town and we also has her flour-less chocolate cake that is super yummy),
Have dined at the Grange several times. Service, food, atmosphere are always fabulous. What a great place!!
Great food. Organic. Farm to Table. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Creative options. A very very enjoyable restaurant. Don’t skip this place.
First time at Grange Kitchen and Bar, for brunch with friends.
Great little neighborhood place, awesome home made Bacon, everything was just right.
awesome food and service!! loved it!
Took my granddaughter there for her 15th birthday, her choice. The scotch duck eggs were especially good, also the duck breast. Portions are small so this isn’t a big appetite type of place. Deserts here are extraordinary with ice cream and sorbets that compare with any high end restaurant / pastry chef. One thing is that the place is not disability friendly, rest rooms are in the basement and a challenge for this older guy with bad knees. If your older and frailer or more disabled than I am then access is almost impossible.
The drinks were delicious and the food was even better. Highly recommended!
Nice menu of local dishes and ingredients
Great service, particularly the bar staff. Come for a cocktail, go elsewhere to eat.
We always visit Grange whenever we are in A2. Great food, great service, and some of the best tasting chicken I've ever had. Highly recommended.
Wonderful meal and evening! We really enjoyed ourselves.
It’s great food from local sources. I had the lemon pancakes, which were fantastic. Plus the zucchini bread was top notch.
Beautiful room and gorgeous local food. Service was great. Run, don't walk to Grange.
One of the best restaurant meals I've had in Ann Arbor in more than a year. From appetizers to entree it was all unique, fresh and delicious.
We had a fantastic dinner 🍴 n Saturday evening. For appetizers we had fried green tomatoes, cornmeal crust, crunchy goodness. Nice salads, peach and tomato was great! Dinner was lake perch on a corn base. Perfectly cooked. Delicious! We had a berry and meringue dessert that was a nice ending to a great meal!
The Grange is my favorite restaurant in Ann Arborthe flavors are always interesting, the use of local, seasonal ingredients let the ingredients shine through, with inventive and taste perfect pairings of herbs, never disappointed.
Outstanding culinary experience every time we go. Fresh and innovative. We LOVE Grange!
Great evening taking our son out for dinner after the football game. Great food, phenomenal service by our server (Audrey)! Our second visit here, will now be an annual event! Really nice experience!
Just excellent food, all local ingredients, fair pricing, and great service. A true Ann Arbor Gem.
