Service was outstanding- our waitress was especially helpful in several ways. One in our party wanted something not on the menu and our waitress said she thought it was available. Very pleased with that. Then, she also was helpful in finding a store where we wanted to shop. Food was excellent and, again, our waitress gave great suggestions!
Very good food, wine selection, and service overall. For the price, though, the food should have been perfect, but there were a couple of niggling things: the pierogi were a bit doughy (they should be thinner and more tender), and the duck breasts were underdone, in spite of those of us who ordered then asking for them to be hardly pink (and the skin was not crisp). Still, it was a meal well worth it, and our party was never made to fell rushed. Pretty much my favorite Ann Arbor restaurant, after living here about 25 years.

Loved our Sunday brunch. We enjoyed the vegetable hash and lemon pancakes. Hope to be back soon.
The food was so good. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Duck fat fries with house made ketchup were amazing!! Everything is made from the fresh ingredients and you will notice the difference!!! Highly recommend anyone to try the place.
Great food and drinks. The waitstaff seemed a bit shorthanded so service was a bit slow but overall still great experience. One of best in Ann Arbor.
Meh. We probably won’t go back. This was the third time we’ve gone to this restaurant. We had the trout and fried walleye. Just okay. Nothing special. I was particularly turned off by the skin still being on the walleye. Also had a salad to start. The dressing was way too tart and vinegary. The beer and food both arrived to our table at less than ideal temperatures. The beer wasn’t cold enough and the food wasn’t hot enough.

Amazing, outstanding and mouthwatering food. The service was a little slow, but I do know we expected that due to the cook cooking the meals to-order instead of them being prepared beforehand. We were trying to catch a show so had to hurry it up a little but The Butcher's Cut was the best steak I have had in a while. They cooked it a bit rare to my liking but overall, the food was the best food I have had in a while. Definitely recommend, just know to relax and drink wine while you wait for your meal to come out.
Six of us came in for dinner. The food was good, but not quite as amazing as some of the other spots on the block. We tried the tasting menu. I'd recommend it, it was a fun change from the norm. We did feel like we were rushed out, so let it be known this is not a place to linger!

Very slow service and there were only a few tables filled. It was kind of expensive which is fine if it's great food, but it really wasn't. My husband described his meal as "terrible" and the rest of us used words like "ok" and "mediocre". The music they played was super strange too; at one point it was a baby crying. We all stopped and looked at each other to make sure we were not hearing things. Probably the worst sound ever anyway and then during dinner? No thanks. Nothing positive stood out about this place. We will not be back.
Excellent all around. Despite it being the depth of winter, I was impressed with the local ingredients.
The food was first rate, and the portions of the perfect size. The restaurant was about 80% full, but the service was excellent. Timing of our three-course meal was just right. Good wine options. Atmosphere is casual, while being serious about the food and service.
We ordered from the restaurant week menu expecting the restaurants best..., and the starter was outstanding..., trout cake would bring me back in a heartbeat, beet salad wasn’t as good as described but still enjoyable, trout entree was flavorless and roasted cauliflower was over salted. Thankfully we left full since the olive bread filled in for entree that was so disappointing. I may try Grange again, regular menu looks intriguing.
We ate in the upstairs bar and it was quiet and lovely.
We've been there before w groups and once prior on our own. We enjoyed a nice table away from traffic, good food and service.
Excellent duck confit, my favorite. Everyone Loved their dish. Normally we go to bar upstairs (best burger in A2), but we had Sunday brunch, which was wonderful. Great music, nice people, really good food, not pretentious, just high quality.
Best farm to table and organic food in AA. Great service and very nice wine list. Food is creative and truly made fresh.
I took a group of my clients here for dinner and was extremely satisfied. Food was very tasty and they were able to accommodate one of my guests who has multiple food allergies. I also found the entrees to be reasonably priced. I think it would be a great place for a special occasion or date. Highly recommend!

A very pleasant evening. The food and service were exceptional and the atmosphere is comfortable while not being too casual.
We had the chorizo and date appetizer, garden salad and pan seared chicken with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts — everything was done truly perfectly and the flavors were wonderful. Staff members are always attentive, warm and friendly and know the answers about the food. The Grange really is a local gem.

I had not been back to The Grange for some time, but am so glad I rediscovered it. The food is very creative and does not disappoint. Excellent. The only thing I missed was the crispy chickpea appetizer! But, if there are morels when the season comes, that will be exciting! thank you
My husband and I brought friends for dinner to celebrate their engagement. The server was friendly, very respectful if she had to reach in front of or over one of us and had a good sense of humor when she realized she said eggplant instead of eggnog ice cream.
I ordered the special - goose - which was a bit tricky to cut and I was concerned it was going to be tough but it was very tender and this dish as a whole, flavorful. The others ordered pork and duck which they also enjoyed.
The chef's tasting menu with wine pairings is outstanding.
It was a birthday dinner with a friend. Her trout unfortunately did not live up to her expectations but they immediately checked into it and recommended a different dish which she liked a great deal. My duck was excellent with good sides. I would definitely go again
We were excited to try a restaurant where we hadn't been before. The service was friendly and adequate, although it was about 15-20 minutes before any bread was served, and longer for the order. The menu seemed quite limited, and we had a hard time finding much except hunks of meat of various types, each served with very little on the side. We would typically prefer a variety of side dishes and less meat, but we ordered a selection. The chicken piece was dry, and although the sweet potato puree that came with the chicken was very good, there was a very small amount of it. The pork was served on too-salty grits. The pumpkin/pasta appetizer had a half-dozen pieces of good pumpkin, but the bulk of the dish, the pasta, was too salty to eat. They did take it off the bill without prompting. The duck was ordered medium, served medium-rare, and was otherwise not memorable. It came on a small amount of greens with nothing else. The side salad had a few radishes slices and other root veggies. It was fresh and crisp and tasted ok, but the dressing was vinegary and altogether it was nothing special. There are no rugs or other soft surfaces, so the noise level was at times so high that we had to lean in and raise our voices, so much so that one guest needed to rest her voice. The chairs are very basic--flat wooden seats--not in any way ergonomic, and much too hard for this bony old bottom. All in all, quite a disappointment when we were expecting a special experience. I'm sorry to have to make this report, because I wish them well. I hope they can back off on the salt and think more about subtle flavors. Some dishes like cauliflower or parsnip mash with parmesan or buttered carrots with a hint of brown sugar would fit in well with their selection of meats and with what seems to be their vision. Or even (dare I suggest?) a potato in some form or other.
This is my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor, the food never disappoints, it is always creative and delicious and the use of local and seasonal ingredients is perfect. The homemade ice cream with unusual flavor combinations is the perfect end to a wonderful meal, just the right size. I love that most of the time you can actually hear your dinner companions unlike so many Ann Arbor restaurants.
Great food and atmosphere.
I had the duck, which was superb. The wine list is interesting, featuring a number of Michigan wines, which are well chosen and in keeping with the farm to table theme. The service is friendly, efficient and informative. For anyone interesting is excellent food, Grange is a splendid choice.
This was a first visit after a recommendation from a local foodie. The space is nicely decorated and in a good location in downtown Ann Arbor. The service was overall good, perhaps a bit less attentive than what I've had at similar places. The food options are good and I applaud the use of locally sourced ingredients. The food, overall, was not quite what I would have hoped. It was not bad - I would say uninspired and bit flat is the best description. I don't think I would return as there are so many other options for the price point that are better. Maybe we just got them on a bad night.
I ordered the duck while my wife ordered the Tuesday fried chicken special.
The duck with fennel and roast pears was a nice combination. The flavors blended very well.
The Tuesday chicken special was generous and tasty. How can you go wrong with fried chicken? It was big enough to share. In the future we may share the special with an additional side or salad. That would leave room for some good looking desserts.
I like the atmosphere at Grange. A nice place to go for dinner but attire is very casual.
My only complaint was that my scotch on the rocks was very skimpy compared to similarly priced restaurants.

The food was wonderful and the dinner was a great. Loved the farm to table meals and the cocktails were unique, interesting, and delicious.
