Grandview Tavern Ratings and Reviews
We asked for a table in the back room and were given one though it seemed we were inconveniencing them. The bar area is much too loud for a date night. We were given a tiny table by a glass door, so I was cold the whole time, but at least we could hold a conversation. The food is great and the service was outstanding.
I always enjoy the food at Grandview Tavern. The atmosphere is inviting. My party of 6 was seated right by the fire place, which was really nice. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. He did a nice job, but towards the end of our visit, he disappeared. We had to ask a manager to prepare our checks. No big deal, really, and our waiter did come by to apologize. Several of us ordered the chicken dish. It was really good, as was the dessert after dinner. I was looking forward to a fish special, but the one they had didn't appeal. Everything seems to be just a bit high priced. I've always had good food there, though, so for special occasions, it's not bad.
Grandview is our favorite place to go. The staff is outstanding. The food is unbelievable. The music is always great and the owner is always there offering a bright smile. It really feels like family. We try to get there at least once a week. Not to mention the outside large patio during warm season.
I've been here many, many times and have never been disappointed. The service is always good, very attentive. Good food choices and you have a choice: either the quiet dining room or the energetic bar/dining with live music. My favorite lunch entree is the Salmon Salad and my favorite dinner entree is the Grandview Chicken. LOVE the Grandview!
Have dined here a few times over the last few years. The latest menu is heavily slanted toward sandwiches and salads and a bit light on entrees. The food is good and on a Tuesday we had a server in training who was very pleasant but a little inefficient.
We enjoyed our three generation outing and so did our kids and grandkids.
Always had a great experience in the past. This time our service, including drinks from the bar, slowed to a painful crawl due to a large party. We saw little from our waitress and was forced to flag her down to insure we could place an order. Food and followup incredibly slow.
Began wondering throughout the meal what it was in the blue and white checkered baskets that everyone seemed to be ordering and evidently reordering. Turned out to be the bread basket.
I supposed not being included in what may seem like so small makes an impression. Doubtful I would return soon or recommend.
We took our family for dinner on New Years Eve and had a fabulous time. Having never been to the Grandview Tavern, we weren't sure how it would be. Service was good, drinks were better, and the food - mmmm! We were seated in the middle of everything, and enjoyed the live music from our table. It was very enjoyable, and we will definitely go back!!!
We eat at the Grandview several times each year. Our meals have always been more than satisfactory and the cocktails excellent. The service we have received has been consistently excellent. Our last visit was this Christmas Eve... service was over the top.
The bar area can be a bit noisy for dining, but, after all, it is a bar area and folks are enjoying talking with on another rather than being glued to their smartphones.
Biggest gripe is they nickel and dime you for little things. The chili doesn't come with any toppings. They charge $0.75 for a TBSP at most of sour cream, cheese, and onions. $0.50 for a TBSP of marinara for the Italian sandwich. Comes across as very chintzy for a place trying to promote a more upscale ambiance. They don't tell you about it either. Just shows up on your bill.
We requested a table by the fireplace on Open Table; we didn't expect it to happen, but it did which was great. Ambiance was great, cozy by the fire and service was prompt & friendly. One person ordered blackened salmon salad, but the salmon came out not blackened. Before she could say anything to our server another server came out with another piece of salmon blackened and said they made a mistake on her order & told my friend to keep both pieces. Great touch. I had the Grandview Chicken & it was fabulous! Definitely will come back again!
Excellent service. 2nd time we have gone there.
1st was in the quite dining room, excellent!
This time we requested to sit in the bar area. Several TV's to see the game, excellent food and service. My daughter is allergic to dairy and eggs - chef came out to talk with her about her options.
NOT NEAR BAND, SAT BY THE DOOR AND HAD TO WEAR MY COAT TO EAT. HAD TO WAIT 20 MIN TO EVEN ORDER FOOD. GOT SALMON SALAD, SALMON WAS COLD INSIDE, ONLY GRILLED ON ONE SIDE. ASKED TO BE MOVED, THERE ALMOST 2 HRS NEVER MOVED. NEVER EVEN CHECKED BACK WITH ME. SORRY I TOOK MY DATE THERE. NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THAT THE MANY TIMES I HAVE BEEN THERE.
We have frequented Grandview for many years & find the food consistently good. My husband had a very tasty Chicken Marsala & I enjoyed the salmon salad. We prefer the dining room where the noise level is lower & it's easier to have a conversation. The bar area is always lively & it's obvious that people love the atmosphere. Something for everyone.
Great place with good food at reasonable price,BUT made reservations and was finally seated almost an hour later. Don't bother with reservations. They will not matter!
Sam assured our outdoor seating and once there, Taylor said just a few minutes! More than a few minutes later we moved quickly to a table being vacated! That's our story!😎
There was much more activity and atmosphere outside on the nice night we were there, but no available seating. It was a lot quieter inside, but we had a window seat which was nice. Our server Olivia was pleasant and our food was good. Prices are a bit high for what is basically a neighborhood spot, but we had a nice dinner. We came from Cincy, and will probably not make the trip again, but if we lived nearby, I'm sure we'd return.
My daughter and I had brunch at the Grandview Tavern and Grille. Both of our meals were delicious and we loved the bottomless mimosas. I would highly recommend this restaurant to you. It's a little pricey, but for a brunch that lasted more than 2 hours, a good value.
Food was fantastic!! I had the filet- Oscar style, cooked medium. It was perfectly prepared and delicious. The spinach artichoke dip was good
We had twelve in our party. Called ahead to add to our reservation two days out . Tables were too tight. Several us were seated on the cracks between tables and they were uneven. Not a pleasant experience for a dinner that cost over $100 for me and my wife.
They had music which was really very good but a little loud for an indoor restaurant experience.
We had recently seen that Grandview was serving brunch
Did not realize that we were there on the inaugural morning
Greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated promptly
It was a bit until the server appeared but she was very pleasant
Nice brunch menu and well priced
