Had a ladies group! All loves their meals and our waiter was super. Wayne??
When I review a restaurant I grade on quality, quantity, service, atmosphere, and price. This establishment failed on all categories. We made a reservation days in advance and they had the main dining room closed down for a private party. We had to set in the bar. Got moved once due to being in a cold area. Our service was slow and my shrimp gnocchi had all of 3 shrimps and maybe a half dozen slices of sausage. The fried cod sandwich was mediocre for an "upper class" restaurant. Very disappointed. And when I brought it to the managers attention it fell on deaf ears. He told me it should only have had 2 shrimps and that they “aren’t Bonefish”, never ate there, but thanks for the referral! First and last visit for us. Never again.
Will definitely return
Do not like the auto gratuity for 4 adults and 2 kids
We were there for Valentine's Day. We waited for over an hour and a half for our order for an Italian sandwich and a flatbread. As servers and other employees are literally running around frantically, A table of 6 that was seated after us received their orders of steaks and such before we or other tables that were sat before them. We did not receive our food. We left money for the appetizer and then we got up and left and went else where. I understand they were very busy and that was to be expected but we were very upset when we ordered what we assume are simple items to make and a table of more people with more complex dishes had received their food far before we did or would have if we stayed. The gentleman that seated us was very nice even though he claimed to not have our reservation, he sat is right away. Our sever was very attentive when we were first seated but that diminished through out the evening.
I'm not one to complain or even write reviews but this was a very unpleasant experience.
We were not greeted for 5 minutes upon arriving and had to wait another 5 minutes on top of that before we were seated, despite arriving 3 minutes before the time of our reservation.
The service was slow and our appetizer arrived late and cold ( calamari-not good).
We recently moved to the area but have already scratched this place from our list.
Our server kept forgetting things we requested like mayo.
Slow service, but good food.
Not fine dining. Better for a quick casual meal
Good food but took us 25 min to be seated even after making reservations.
The food was not great. If I go again I will just get a burger.
Black bean burger disappointing .. frozen like the ones in the grocery store; too much iceberg lettuce in southwest salad .. no romaine.. need greener greens!
This location has a great atmosphere both inside and when the patio is open. It is pretty pricey for what you get and they have also reduced their menu. They used to have very delicious pizza options, but they were removed from the menu. Bad move in my opinion...
Excellent food and service
I think this is my new go to bar. Well, I call it a bar but I really think it is a decent restaurant that happens to be 50% bar. I have been here twice so far, food has been excellent both times. First time was run-of-the-mill let’s see what looks good on the menu, second time I had the most expensive thing which was center cut fillet mignon. Impressed both times, and I have eaten at the cities finish dining. From Boca to Nicola’s, and many in between, this place can stand on it’s own 2 feet amongst them. I recommend you give it a try!
Salmon salad made with chicken instead. Was very good. A little slow getting drinks. Good lettuce wraps.
First time eating here and all 4 meals were excellent. For a tavern we were surprised at how good the food and wine were. Exceeded our expectations.
New Years Eve
As soon as we arrived the hostess said we had to leave by 9:00. It was 6:15!
I also reserved a standard table and the hostess tried to seat us in the bar after I specifically reserved a table in the dining room.
Also, steak was average.
Not a good experience.
We usually love Grandview but this time not so much. The back room was cold and uninviting, service was good, not great, and food was good. I'm going to blame it on New Years Eve.
We really enjoyed coming here as a group before our New Year’s Eve festivities began. The food was really tasty - loved the wings and flatbread. We also enjoyed cocktails and wine. Finish off with the Apple Crisp and you’ll be happy!
Best food and best value. Great neighborhood restaurant.
They did not realize i had a reservation.
The food was good but the service slow even though the restaurant was not busy...
Poor quality, very over priced. Wish I had stayed home.
Always a great meal! Tonight was the comfort side of the menu with the best meatloaf in town. Our friends had the seafood special which they loved. They have a better than average bourbon menu and around 10 craft beers that rotate.
Food was very good but the room we were in was extremely cold and we had to leave our
coats on. Not how I wish to eat lunch.
The food is always good, but this time the room we were in was freezing and left me feeling a little less willing to make this a first time for our guests who may have never been there.
We love the ambiance and service is always good. It’s a great place with a mature crowd so we feel comfortable here. Never any problems and food is good.
One of my favorites. The food and service is consistently above par.
The new menu doesn’t add any value. It is more compact, still top heavy in bar food, lacks creative entrees (glad to bring back the sea bass, and add a new Cajun pasta-with Italian sausage?), and sadly the prices went UP! Take the added sea bass. I can go around the corner to Bonefish and get the same 6oz sea bass for $10+ cheaper! Why is Grandvuew’s version so much more expensive? I make these comments with all due respect. The new menu is disappointing. We will continue to selectively patronize Grandview but with a better menu we would dine there even more often than we do.
