It was amazing! Atmosphere, food, service, etc, I have been telling everyone about this place. Our waitress, Rikki, truly a joy, very polite and knowledgeable.
Enjoyed the food, service and live music
One of the best restaurants in Hoboken today. I have eaten dinner there a few times and it is alway delicious. Very friendly and informed staff. A real gem.
My husband and I really enjoyed our night out at Grand Vin. Glad that we did a reservation ahead. I didn’t expect this place to be packed on Thursday night.
Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Both of us enjoyed the food and it’s generous portions.
It was a nice surprise when live music started. Which made the ambience even more romantic.
This restaurant was a great find for us. We’ll definitely be back again.
Great wine list. Decent menu. Nice service.
Great wine and food. Can’t wait to go back
Absolutely amazing location. Service was on point. Food was tasty and the selection of wines is out of the world.
Perfect for dates! Very highly recommend the gnocchi or short rib & rissoto!
Food was ok, drinks were below average. Went to get a nice cocktail was disappointed in the old fashioned and martini. Overpriced. Trying to be too much, not good enough. Service was weird also.
It was nice.
Went here on a Thursday night around 7:30pm, and there was a sizable crowd upon entering near the bar - which I personally love, because on weekdays in Hoboken, some places can be emptier than others. We were seated at one of the tables in the back, which was great. There was a good, lively atmosphere, yet we could hear each other talk. Our waitress was attentive and personable, not to mention extremely helpful.
The food was good, not mind-blowing but it did the job! Excellent Moscow Mules, too. It was the all around experience that surpassed my expectations. Along with awesome decor, there was a live musician which was so so awesome.
Easily, by far, the best cool date spot in Hoboken.
From start to finish Grand Vin was a great experience. I'm also in the restaurant business and I was impressed by the prompt service and the quality of the food in general.
Appetizers we went with oysters with spinach and some kind of cheese which were one of the best if not the best oysters I've ever had. We also ordered the veal homemade meatballs served with fresh ricotta cheese and authentic tomato marinara sauce.
The gnocchi and the Rigatoni were the two choices we had for our entreés. The gnocchi might be the best I have ever had and rigatoni was also great as well. Need to come back and try of different dishes as well.
Didn't get to try any desserts because we were so full. I came all the way from Queens, New York to meet with a friend I haven't seen in a long time, and I would definitely come back here. Worth the drive and cost for dinner. Check out my instagram @petecheeks / @pd.athana (Art Page)
Cozy and pretty decor, good service, good happy hour special
Typical italian Trattoria food, nothing special, everything could be also cooked by myself in my home, good wine list, some craft beers, poor chloro water served as a table water, nearly booked out at rpthe evening we‘ve visited, loud, but overall good athmosphere! But no reason to return!
Our server began with watering the table while pouring us our water. He was very careless and though it was very obvious there were multiple puddles on our table I still had to bring it to his attention he spilled water everywhere multiple times.
My friends and I had not seen each other in months and we were celebrating/saying goodbye to our one friend before she moves to Florida but we felt rushed the entire dining experience. Not even five minutes after we finished our coffee we were asked to leave for a reservation that decided to come early.
Loved everything about this place! Great food and cocktails, ambience that was cozy but fun, live music on the weekends! Will definitely be going back!
The food was really sub-par. The ambiance was nice and menu seemed fancy but when the food came it tasted like diner style salad, chicken parm, and cheese sauce from a jar. Not worth $27 entrees and $16 salads. Not worth the price at all.
The gnocchi was good but the gluten free version of the dish did not compare in taste to the original. The pasta was just gluten free spaghetti and the three cheese sauce was much thinner and buttery to a fault. Staff was courteous and helpful though and replaced the dish with something else for no charge.
Great food and a very nice spot! I'd say it's one of the hidden gems in Hoboken!
We absolutely loved the Steamed Artichoke and Burrata !!
Great wine selection, food was alright nothing mind blowing, great service.
We've been here a few times, and the food has always been incredible. The live music has also been really great and adds to the vibe of the whole place.
The food was tasty and the wine was flowing. The care and attention from the staff was so nice at the door, at the table and at the bar.
Food was very good - Chilean Sea bass especially. Live music (acoustic guitarist playing covers) and overall ambiance was really great.
Service was really poor. We felt very rushed and it seemed like we were somehow inconveniencing the waitress by being there. It was a Wednesday night and not super busy but still took 35m to get a bottle of wine to the table!
Probably it's new staff but some more training definitely need. If they work out the service component this can be one of the better spots in Hoboken.
Would never return. Food was below average and the service was very poor. Somehow, we were going to stay for desert if we could be moved outside since the inside was freezing, though the hostess needed to ask the server if we could pull this off while rows of empty tables sat outside. The server was not around to field this executive level request, so we just left.
They did take $2 chamomile tea off the bill because it was twenty minutes, huge. Ambiance was pleasant, that is the only real positive.
Pricey food but worth it.
We had a lovely dinner, with great wine and food.
One of the worst kale salads I've had in a long time. Was excited to try a place so close to home and heard great things. But food overall was disappointing especially for a restaurant comparing itself to those in the city.
Sat outside so I can't comment on the noise level. But it was a very nice dining experience. Good wine, good service, no complaints.
Try the wine flight Tuesday special. Good deal
Haven't dined here since it was 3 A's - seems like some of the menu options and specials remained. Food was good. Bartender was helpful selecting wine, waitress seemed rushed to take orders but not check back in
Great outdoor seating and live music. Had the Guacamole crab dip. It was delicious.
My family of 6 had my birthday dinner there on a quiet summer Sunday night and it was perfect. Jen was our server and she was patient and attentive. The food was excellent and high quality. A little pricey but worth it. Would def go again!
Romantic, lovely wine bar with a great wine list and delicious food. I have had a bit of everything here - charcuterie and cheese, bruschetta, pasta, seafood, and steak. Everything was delicious and cooked to our exact liking. Pasta was very clearly freshly made, and we were able to do a half portion as a starter before our entrees. Highly recommended, but the wine here is quite pricy so keep that in mind! Best to go on a Tuesday when they have discounted wine flights. They give you a good pour of each wine and the total for 3 glasses is $15.
Very good, great food. My only let done was we couldn't order dessert as we didn't have the chance before the kitchen closed, the server never told us or came over before the kitchen closed.
Among my favorites in Hoboken, always excellent w a great wine list. Although it's not on the menu, if you ask they will make chicken francaise over linguini (and now simply typing that I need to go back asap).
Great place for dinner. Looked through tons of reviews and so glad to find this restaurant. The manager Mike was very welcoming and treated us to a few drinks in celebration of our special occasion. Will definitely be back when in New York/New Jersey.
Every dish we ordered was just delicious!!! Will definitely go there again soon!
Food was very good. Had the shrimp with prosciutto and mozzarella. Very tasty. My husband had fettuccini with clams in a white sauce. Wine list could be a little larger with some aged wines.
Ambience was great and it was a hidden restaurant in the back streets of Hoboken. Great service and good food, I would go back there again. It would also be great for a date.
Very romantic wine bar and restaurant. Went for a date and it was well decorated and the staff was extremely attentive. We stayed for 2+ hours and never felt rushed. Good foot and drinks.
