Grand Finale Restaurant
Grand finale has always been a staple in our area and while I drive by it all the time I had not been for several years. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were both surprised at the fact that it been so long since we had gone, the fact that we really enjoyed it, and the fact that we will make this more of a regular stop in the future. We took advantage of the two dinners and a bottle of wine for $44 and that with a dessert made for a delicious and economical meal.
Went for a special post-graduation brunch. Hadn’t been there in years, but the place was seemingly unchanged. Cozy and quaint, we were seated in the garden room. Staff was great! Food was good, also. Loved the poached egg with artichoke and bacon.
Excellent brunch we look forward to on special occasions. Courteous, attentive staff made us feel special.
It was a ladies lunch out for my family. Everything was wonderful except for one complaint that a biscuit was hard. We had a very good time.
Who said there's nothing perfect? Who ever said that has never been to the GF.
My wife and I have been going here 20 years. Our first dare was here The steaks have been great for 18 years. All of a sudden it’s almost like they switched suppliers. The quality of steak is nowhere near what it used to be. It’s very noticeable. The staff is awesome as usual.
Everything was fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful birthday lunch for my husband. It was great to have a small private space with family to celebrate and enjoy conversation.
Generally delicious French-based food with plenty of seafood choices, from the tasty house-made salad dressing (the lettuce could have been fresher) to the great desserts.
We always love our neighborhood restaurant!!!
Wonderful restaurant. It is obvious why this place is a Glendale staple that has been around for decades.
Although the food was good, the service was very poor. It took approximately 90 minutes before we received our main courses. We were told that the kitchen was backed up due to it being Mother's Day. But we saw others who had come in after us and were get served well before us. Apparently, the server forgot to put our order in! We had a large group, including a toddler, so the delay was especially difficult for us not only because a toddler typically has less patience than older children and adults, but in this case the delay had us eating well past 9 p.m. When we expressed dissatisfaction with the situation, management offered free dessert which, frankly, was not much of an offer because few had any appetite left at that point and it was too late for anyone to eat it. To add insult to injury, on the way out the manager apparently said to my wife and mother-in-law, effectively, that we should be grateful because the desserts she sent us home with were a $100 value. Although we have been to Grand Finale a number of times and have usually enjoyed those evenings, I do not think we will be back after this experience.
Unfortunately, I found a hair on the artichoke from the buffet. It was pretty gross, but it was promptly taken away. I guess this happens every once a while at all excellent restaurants.
One of our favorite restaurants. The French onion soup is the best in the City. The chicken ginger is a must and you cannot go wrong with any dessert, but the ice cream filled puff with the world’s best fudge sauce is our favorite.
The seafood soup was amazing. The food was very well seasoned and the portions were generous.
Great food, great atmosphere, one of our go to restaurant picks!!
We took my parents there for Mother’s Day. First off I called 2 hrs ahead to add 1 more seat to our reservations. I was worried because of Mother’s Day but they were more than happy to add the extra seat. We also arrived 1/2 hr early & they were able to seat us. Can’t say more for how they went out of their way for us. I asked if the crab cakes were available for dinner & they accommodated us even though they weren’t on the dinner menu. Our server was wonderful. She even brought us extra bread. All the food we ordered was delicious. The serving sizes were not overly large. The desserts were out of this world. Glad I ordered the Puff. We will come back. Thanks for taking great care of us.
Lovely experience. Love this place.
The atmosphere was perfect The meals were prepared to perfection. The service was attentive but not hovering. I would recommend Grand Finale to anyone looking for exquisite food at a reasonable price
I have eaten at Grand Finale for quite a few years and it remains one of my favorite restaurants. The high quality of their food has stayed consistent over the years and, of course, the deserts are to die for! Always a treat to eat there!
We had dinner with old friends from out of town and this was the perfect choice. Perfect from start to finish. Service was prompt and cordial. The food was great and the desserts just amazing! Everything was beautifully presented and we were not rushed in any way.
Great brunch spot
Everything was AMAZING. The front hostess was the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. She was a bit rude. We had never been there before so we arrived early. She was less than welcoming. Stating “well the food isn’t even ready yet, just take a seat”. Maybe a kinder approach for those of us who have never visited the restaurant for brunch. Otherwise the food, our waiter and the buffet staff were excellent!
Service and food perfect. Jumbo Scallops and mashed potato appetizer with grilled and sliced lobster tail on the side. Chilled salad w/avacodo dressing. Finished with Lite Keylime pie. Oooh! That butter crumb crust. Try the White chocolate mousse with jumbo rasberries too!
Happy that I made a lunch reservation. Quaint setting.
We enjoyed our get together and appreciated being able to sit in the room next to the atrium.
Our Belarus server was spot on - knowledgeable, pleasant, unobtrusive. The 2 meals and a bottle of wine for $44 is a great deal. The food was very good - nice selection and we chose a nice bottle of California pinot noir for our wine. Good experience. We told others and we will be back.
Nice buffet. It would be nice to know the specific of the assortment for crepes and others.
I recommend removing door down to little step near the buffet table.
I was having brunch with my sister when an older lady with blonde/white hair sat a couple next to us. She catered to them hand and foot and called him by his name. I’ve been coming there for 30 years and no one calls me by my name. Anyways, the old man told me and my sister to be quiet as we wrapped our meal and proceeded to antagonize us. I told him we have a right to sit and enjoy our meal. He and his wife had a small fit and went to the garden room while the older lady apologized as if we are wrong. I am a paying customer and I’m appalled at her candor. I understand she had a grumpy customer but my $50 is just as good as anyone’s. I am seriously debating never returning!
My family has been enjoying the food at the Grand Finale for over 40 years. It is our spot to celebrate any special occasion.
The Grand Finale is one our favorite places to eat and enjoy time together! An awesome place!
Favorite special restaurant to go! Always great food and service! And don’t ever leave with out desert. My favorite is their raspberries & white chocolate moose and my husband loves their berry cobbler with ice cream. We will be back soon! 💜
Visited with college friends. Very pleased with service, ambiance, quality of food.
Lovely spot to relax and visit with friends while dining and then enjoying dessert!
Loved Grand Finale as always
Wonderful dinner and service !
We went for brunch at 3pm. The only negative is that the brunch is over at 3 so while there was still food it woukd have been better fresher. They were also taking down one of the tables of food and did a last call for brunch so we felt rushed. I would recommend if you are doing a brunch like this to book way early to get a better time (i booked a few weeks in advance and could only get 3pm). The table we had was adorable it its own knook. Great staff. Nice choic2 of food.
A wonderful brunch! The staff was so friendly, the buffet scrumptious and the setting uniquely charming.
Easter brunch was way overhyped. Food was just ok and wasn’t worth the price.
