We have had many Family celebrations at the Grand Finale. Some weekend dinner but mostly Sunday Brunch. Fantastic atmosphere. Good Food Good Service. We look forward to our next time.
Disappointed. I had not been to the Grand Finale in a long time. I made the reservation to celebrate my birthday with family. I was not aware that the Sunday noon time was a buffet brunch ONLY. The food was lukewarm, and not as high quality as I remember. There was not one thing that I tried that I thought, "Oh, this is to die for." The dining areas were so crowded that you had to lean over to avoid getting jostled by passing patrons and wait staff. I would be willing to try GF again, but never on Sunday... a buffet is never worth my time.
Recommended by a friend. Great food. Would definitely return.
We absolutely love the Grand Finale! Every staff member is sensational. Vicki does an amazing job running this top notch restaurant. Food is outstanding. We especially enjoy Margie as our waitress!!!!!
Very nice restaurant with a very large choice of menu
Eaten here several times. The food is always sumptuous and served by attentive wait staff. This time I ordered a filet and it was cooked perfectly. However, it was distracting to be given a dull, serrated blade knife that made it a challenge to cut the meat. A nice sharp knife would have made it a much pleasanter experience.
Lunch was wonderful, food hot and tasty. Waiter was very attentive. Love the crepes.
Waitress was spread thin on number of tables she had, but still gave good service. Need to train the bus people to be able to answer more questions, kept getting referred back to the server.
We were crammed into a corner and had to have
Party all get up on Wall Side to squeeze out. Poor
Seating, and not ready when we got there.
servers should refrain from smoking while working. our server was excellent, but reeked of cigarette smoke.
service and food were good. but water was undrinkable
We were looking for a good meal that wasn't part of some big national chain. What we found was a great meal, in a beautiful unique setting. We went on a Friday night, and were seated promptly. The service was polite and courteous. Our Salads were full of fresh ingredients, no iceberg lettuce, and was very delicious. My little girl wanted a bowl of fruit and got a beautifully presented plate full of various fruits, with a raspberry dip in the center, that was off-menu. I had the chicken with mushroom and wild rice and really enjoyed it.
Timeless treasure. My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at the Grand Finale in 1976 and have returned many times over the years. We have never been disappointed.
I have never been disappointed with a meal at the Grand Finale - it is always excellent. Plus I love the ambience, regardless of whether seated in the main dining room or the enclosed courtyard area.
Our waitress was especially good, and had a great sense of humor.
I love the Grand Finale for any occasion. Easter brunch was so delightful and plan on being there every Easter from here on!
Our experience could have been better if someone had stepped in to suggest the parents at the table next to us reign their children in. The kids were running around taking candy off of other tables, going up to the buffet alone and being super loud in general.
We had a lovely brunch for Easter! Our server was very nice and the food was very good! Always a favorite for a special day!
Cute atmosphere- Our family was there for the Easter Breakfast buffet. The breakfast food was typical... eggs, meat, biscuits, fruit. However, the dessert samplers were very good. Our bill was around $70 for our family of three. Thought it was a bit pricey for a buffet and the quality. I would not go back simply because of the price.
Very enjoyable Easter Brunch. Servers were excellent, very attentive. My mother dropped her fork and had another one in a about a minute without asking. Food is always amazing!
We’re regular customers however this time...the service was not up to par.
Food was great but the room was really noisy and for older people it is really hard to hear. It got quieter as the dining room started to clear.
The service was very good, and the place is lovely. I had the spaghetti toss entree and it was very greasy. I took half home and the amount of oil in the container got all over everything. The ice cream puff was delicious.
Had a great time and a good meal for brunch!
We had reservations and were seated promptly.
Our server never came over until we asked another server if we could order a beverage. This was after editing a good 12-15 mins.
It was a Sunday buffet , thank goodness we could serve ourself.
We go to the Grande Finale often as a family outing. Everyone in the family agrees that this is the best place for food and getting together as a group.
Excellent service, atmosphere and food!!
Karyn waited on us and was very pleasant and efficient. She seemed to know the menu inside out.
My high school friends & I (there are 5 of us) get-together once a month for lunch around the Cincinnati area. Fridays lunch was a delight. We sat in a perfectly sunny spot, enjoying the entire experience. Highly recommended by all!!!!
Celebrating a 30 year work anniversary
The Grand Finale has been my favorite restaurant since they opened decades ago. Food is consistently good and desserts are superb. A winning choice every time.
We had a nice time during our meal. The bread was kind of hard, as was the butter. The side salad was pretty good. One in our group ordered the Avocado Chicken Salad and liked it, although it looked like it was primarily fruit. Another in our group ordered the Ahi Tuna and thoroughly enjoyed it. Two of us ordered the Chicken Breast Pot Pie. It looked beautiful coming to the table. Unfortunately the giant puff pastry on top exploded all over the table when you tried to get a bite of it, the pot pie was not warm in the middle, and it was completely unseasoned. We both left over half of it uneaten. The prices are great for the serving sizes though.
Such a lovely setting in the “garden room”, twinkling lights and snow falling. Delicious food- unique crepes which are hard to find and filets cooked to order. Crazy sized, decadent dessert. Our server was right on in her recommendations and attention. Hadn’t been in several years and will return more often.
Exceptional experience & plan on going again very soon.
Love Grand Finale for lunch and dinner but the Sunday brunch was not good. Food was cold and nothing as good as lunch and dinner. Definitely a yes for lunch and dinner but a definite no for Sunday brunch.
Brunch buffet was a real treat. What a nice place to celebrate at.
First, the online reservation system works great. I have been a patron several times. Diverse menu, great specials and over the top desserts. Great ambiance.
My husband and I were regular patrons of the Grand Finale for many years. After moving further away, it had been 10 or more years since our last visit. It was such a nice evening to be in the Grand surroundings and the food is still excellent. It hasn't changed which overall is a good thing, but the entrance and restrooms do need to be updated. There is one thing to be nostalgic as most of the Grand is, but the entrance and restrooms are simply old and worn out. Still you won't be disappointed.
Great evening at Grand Finale celebrating friends birthdays. Food was excellent and desserts divine. I would recommend this restaurant especially for special occasions.
For years and years we’ve enjoyed the grand finale. For lunch for dinner for after dinner desserts it’s all great
We were in town visiting family and thought we'd try a local restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Will dine there again.
Food was good, the special menu was a good value. Service slow even when told wait staff we had theater tickets.
