Needed to adjust number of guests and had difficulty doing it...finally called restaurant on phone.
Restaurant very nice about last minute change in numbers.
Charming restaurant with a vintage and quaint atmosphere. Excellent service and wonderful menu with many great selections that has something for everyone.
coffee was so weak it was a joke. told server and she said sorry, did we want something else. its not that hard to make coffee. food on brunch buffett was mostly tasty.
Love this place!!! We have been coming here for years as a special treat!!!
Always an Aplus experience. Have come many times. Always the same excellence.
Party of 6 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals!! Three of us had salmon with scallops, one shrimp and grits, one steak, and, one chicken dish!
I have been going to the Grand finale for decades. we had our rehearsal dinner there over 39 years ago!
Unfortunately, the cleanliness is lacking. There were flies continually at the indoor window, not open, and we killed 3 while there. Food is mediocre.
I won't be back
I reserved for a party of 14 for a bachelorette dinner. We were running behind and the restaurant was over accommodating. Our server was quick, reliable and extremely pleasant. Our food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I’ve never wanted to eat left overs so bad! Lol the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was beyond helpful and friendly. I group WAS NOT the quietest bunch of ladies but the guest and staff didn’t complain. It was like everyone was family! I will definitely be back for the steak, seafood linguine and salmon pasta! All entrees were delicious!
Great food and service for 40 years! One of our first dates and we just celebrated 38 years of marriage.
A group of retired educators met here for lunch. We enjoyed our lunch selections and sampled a few of the delicious desserts. Our server was wonderful and we had a great time. Noise level was a bit on the loud side, which was the only negative.
I have to be honest...my girlfriend and I had a very disappointing experience here at brunch. The food on the brunch buffet was all kept at a very lukewarm temperature making our dining experience very unpleasurable. The service was excellent.
The meal was perfect. Food is always great. We had the same waitress as before and she was good too. The sparklers we ordered were yummy. It was my first time buying.
We got cornered in by a large party so we were literally forced to end our meal. Do better! I had a reservation as well and prefer to not be rushed.
One of our favorite places. Great food, great service, great ambiance. Couldn’t ask for more from a restaurant.
I was treated to lunch by my friend and we enjoyed our visit. Neither of us had been there for a few years. It was a good as I remembered and we enjoyed our leisurely lunch on a Tuesday. Excellent food choices and many of them. We both chose crepes as there aren't many places that offer them. My seafood crepe came with salad and bread. It was filled perfectly with lobster, scallops, and shrimp. Many great choices for salads, crepes and other heartier dishes. Treat yourself to a nice lunch!
Good enough food and quaint atmosphere. Next time, I CD am getting crepes. Sounds different.
Disappointed with the food. I have been going to this restaurant for 30 years, but the food quality has gone down.
Friday lunch with out of town family was wonderful. Great options for the two vegetarians we had in our party. The service was stellar and the food was delicious. We enjoyed ourselves greatly.
The Grand Finale is a quaint, cozy restaurant that we really enjoy. The service and food is very good, they have a unique menu and wonderful desserts.
I would like to see the salad returned to a smaller one with sprouts as it was originally.
First time visitor: Fish, spinach crepe, crab cake and caesar salad was great. Topped off with the banana foster.
Dinner with family. Everything was wonderful!
I had a very strange experience at the restaurant last night. 7/15.
We used a Groupon and the people that sat with us used a Groupon but we had separate bills, the problem is the manager was not discrete letting us know it was a big no-no and everybody in the room knew that we were not allowed to use two groupons at the same table too.
Somehow it showed the character of this restaurant in a bad light because the scolding wasn’t discrete or quiet.nobody was cheated, not even our server out of their full priced tip and I don’t know why it would’ve mattered if we had sat at separate tables.
I felt terrible for my friends because they hadn’t been there before and I thought it was such a special night.
My husband and I have been to the restaurant for a few date nights and I’m not 100% sure we will be back.
We had Sunday brunch Buffett, and all our previous experiences have been great. However, this time we went at 2:00, which is half hour before closing, so Buffett had been reduced to one line and the potatoes were cold, as well as chicken livers; but I think it was due to the fact it was close to closing. We will make sure our next visit is earlier. All in all we love going to Sunday brunch & will continue to go.
Grand FInale was exceptionally busy as it was Saturday night when we dined. We all ordered the crepes and side salads. Perhaps that was the wrong choice as oure crepes were a little thin. We enjoyed the ambiance and had a lovely time.
The Grand Finale has met my expectation again! The service is always wonderful, the food is scrumptious, and the ambiance is always inviting, and the quality of food never changes.
Waiter was second rate-a former busboy there who needed to be better trained.
Had not been in a long time so took a couple of friends for dinner. We were seated immediately and brought water and rolls. Service was great and timely. My only complaint is the price. I think the meal was over priced for what we got. Everything on menu is high and specials very pricey.
Retirement party . service was wonderful. Water glasses were kept full throughout. Asked for a variance of salad ended up with a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing that was delicious. The seafood crepes were as good as I remember them being 40 years ago. Had to have a bite of dessert the key lime pie was very delicious next time I’ll start with dessert to make sure I get it in. everything was wonderful. Delicious. The special looked really good,, dinner for two however my friend only drinks sweet wine and I don’t want to drink a half a bottle of sweet wine. I love the Prosecco. Can’t ever go wrong with that. Thank you.
Absolutely love the food ! Always a favorite whenever I come home I have to eat Sunday brunch or dinner there !
The Sunday Buffet was enjoyable with a wide selection of items, always kept fresh and stocked. From danish to fruit to crepes and eggs, each dish felt more like a made-to-order selection than a buffet. We had a large group and they accommodated us without issue, and our reservation was ready and set up on time. A very nice experience start to finish!
I brought my friend for her first experience at Grande Finale. The hostess in the blue shirt was very rude and short. I almost took my friend to OTR. Anyways, our waitress was very kind and moved us to a quieter table. She disappeared on us a few times and let the water go bare once but overall, I was happy to share this slice of paradise with my friend. I think she wants to go back. The wait staff really needs training in their customer service.
The ambiance was snooty and stuffy. Everyone was whispering when they ate. They had very little vegetarian to eat and it had a lot of pork.
I would recommend this place for after a funeral.
We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. We were pleased with our choice of restaurants and the experience Grand Finale provided.
One of my very favorite restaurants. It's beautifully decorated in the period it was built. The food it always perfect. The staff is experienced and knowledgeable. Everyone is pleasant and attentive. If you've never tried their desserts, they are generous portions of incredible delights ! If you've never been to Glendale's Grand Finale, you must go !!
The Grande Finale is a place I spent my late teens and 20s coming to on a regular basis so was excited to come back for my 50Th Birthday. Was disappointed. Food quality overall was down. Avocado dressing seemed watery. Salmon was ok but not outstanding. And when a power surge took out the credit card reader it was not well handled by the manager who got flustered. She was not rude just flustered and we ended up having to come up with a resolution for her and weren’t even offered a 10% discount or dessert for our effort. Oh well.
It was all round lovely: great food, great service, uniquely lovely environment... thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Been going there for years. Especially for special occasions. Never disappoints. Vicky and staff do whatever to accommodate and food is always very very good. From starters to dessert.. friendly and quaint
The place smelled musty and it looked old. The service was poor. We had to ask when are we going to be served. The salad was good, the bread was hard. We asked for softer bread and that was good. The spinach crepe was not good at all.
Grand Finale is a treat anytime I have been there. The food is amazing, the ambiance is quiet and peaceful. The service is outstanding-the people are warm, friendly and professional. Being about 60 miles from home-I don't go often. But-if I am planning to be in the neighborhood-it's always a first choice!
I was entertaining an out-of-town house guest and looking for an interesting spot for lunch. She loved it! It was perfect.
