Grand Finale has always been a great restaurant, but during these times of COVID, they have stepped up even more to make their customers feel safe and still provide the best food and service around. A new entrance, and tables are spaced beautifully. Thank you for having a place we can still celebrate a little, in the safe way!
Enjoyed a nice late dinner with family. Hadn't been there in awhile since we moved out of town. So glad to see our old favorite chicken ginger on the menu. Seafood crepes really good too. My only issue is that one of the staff was wearing a political themed mask... When going out to eat, you want to just relax and enjoy good food...
Everything was great! The food is always excellent. I had the chicken pot pie. My husband had shrimp and grits and my son had a seafood linguini. The service was excellent. The only negative is that it was very cold in the restaurant.
Father in law’s birthday
Dining at Grand Finale is always an enjoyable experience. It has become my go to for both business and pleasure.
We have been driving to Grand Finale for 30+ years from Columbus, Oh. The food, atmosphere & service have always been exceptional. We love the Ginger Chicken, a dish we have never found at any other restaurant, prepared the way Grand Finale does it. Their dinners have always included a salad & a side. It is hard to choose between the crepes & au gratin potatoes for the side as they are both wonderful. We are hoping that after the Covid virus slows down, they will be able to bring back their Sunday brunch. There was so much delicious food & desserts on the buffet that you didn't have to eat again for several days.
New smaller plates are great. Always superb food and service. Thank you for many years of happy memories and great meals.
We have enjoyed this superb restaurant for over 35 years, and the quality of the food and wine never fails to impress. Excellent spacing, staff fully masked, all appropriate precautions taken. We did not leave a crumb from any of the three courses. Outstanding meal and service!
The Grand Finale did a great job of social distancing and the waitress was supert.
I took my adult children. All of us enjoyed the food, servers were friendly and efficient. The food is not what you get everywhere else. I had a great pork chop with homemade barbeque sauce. Everyone should try the crepes and the deserts, especially the white chocolate moose with berries.
I loved the seafood crepe and salad, and of course, the cheesecake with strawberries.
everything was delicious, and the waitress was very helpful, asking if i wanted a refill on my iced coffee, then bringing it out shortly after. She checked with us, often, and was very pleasant. Grand finale is my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati.
This place was just plain bizarre. The decor was a mix of your grandmas house, a circus and a thrift store. The food was meh- my steak had zero seasoning and my husbands pasta COVERED in oil. Expensive for the food not being good. One of the servers had slippers and shower cap on. It was dead silent. It was one of the most bizarre dining experiences my husband and I have ever had.
Very nice! The place is unique. The food and service were great! This was only the second time we have dined in a restaurant in months. We were glad to see all Covid guidelines were being followed by staff and other customers. I’m sure the owners and servers wished they had a higher volume of business on a Saturday evening, but it made us feel more at ease.
Food was good, nothing special. Staff was ok, did not suggest any specialties. Nothing special
Great time!! One of our all time favs
Very good food and service. Celebrating Anniversary and intending to return next year.
We visited in the afternoon. We felt very safe, food and service were perfect. I had crab cakes, and my wife had the salmon cakes. The white chocolate mousse with raspberries was a wonderful ending to a great meal
Food is wonderful, prices are great for the quality of the food. Service is wonderful. We have been dining at Grand Finale for the past 20 years.
My wife and I dined here for our 36th anniversary. We enjoyed our meal as both the food and service were very good. We especially enjoyed the location as the church in which we were married is right across the street! Couldn’t have been a more beautiful evening!
We had an amazing dinner at the lovely Grand Finale tonight. The restaurant is doing everything right to keep all safe and we were able to relax and celebrate our daughter’s birthday! Karen was our server and was just wonderful. The shrimp cocktail and deviled eggs were amazing and the salmon on the specials menu was cooked to perfection. Birthday girl is gluten free and she had many choices tonight which was much appreciated. For dessert , we had the berry cup, the bananas foster and my personal favorite, the delicious white chocolate mousse with raspberries served in a wine glass. We can’t wait to return!
This would be a great place to have a dinner date.
As always, excellent food and great service.
I always pass this place so decided to make a reservation and check it out. Coming into the building the décor was old school vintage and charming. The hostess led us to our table by the window which was nice.
Our server came over to our table, and was not very warm. We quickly ordered appetizers and cocktails and after waiting a bit were informed because of a large party all the appetizers were sold out. Unless you wanted Artichoke dip.... So we ordered dinner. The cocktails were fair, nothing to brag about and not great enough to come back for.
I'll just say I am not sure a "chef" is working in the kitchen. The food was bland, and tasted like someone who cooked it was either unexperienced or didn't care at all. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my boyfriend had the rack of lamb medium rare. I had the "just veggies" which consisted of two pieces of broccoli a quarter of a raw red pepper 4 or so green beans and a carrot slice on a bread plate , and he had the spinach and cheese crepe. When I say no flavor, I mean- none. Zero seasoning, zero finesse.
The server came to the table a total of three times. Once to greet us and take our order, once to drop off food and once to pick up our check. We had to flag down a busser to receive our check. When asked by our server if everything was ok at the end of the night she offered us complimentary dessert because obviously this place was a huge disappointment. We declined. Over Rated..
Our Favorite place to go for Anniversaries, Birthdays etc
We celebrated my birthday there for lunch and the service was really good and the food even better. The roasted cauliflower soup was the best soup I have had anywhere in the last 10 years. Unlike most restaurants we feel the Grand Finale is a very good value.
One of my wife’s sisters had a birthday today so we decided to treat her to lunch at Grand Finale. It is always such a pleasure to eat at grand finale. Can’t wait until next time.
This lovely place has been our favorite for 30 years or more. We spend every anniversary celebration there. This year because of the covid 19 we brought our own candles and flowers. So special.
Great food and the server was amazing, attentive and fun. The only thing that detached from the experience at all was a musty smell nearby. Couldn’t find the source but it was quite noticeable.
Excellent food and good service as expected
Everything was delicious as usual and service was wonderful as usual.
Grand Finale remains our go-to restaurant for special events or to impress new visitors! We love the food (especially the Ginger Chicken and Spinach Crepe), but we do need to eat less to leave room for their awesome desserts!
Have been coming here for years and is still so worthy. Always a great experience!
This is our neighborhood favorite. We love it. Even during the pandemic they produced quality food you could pick up! We have standing reservations on Christmas Eve. We do not ever miss our opportunity to enjoy a great meal. You always feel you are getting value for your money. It is not just another "better" restaurant. They are very affordable. There is no better cheesecake.
Everything was wonderful. The best French onion soup in the area! We had the puff for dessert and took the chocolate cordial pie to go.
Always a great experience even during this virus issue.
I love Grand Finale....the Crepes are to die for and the Avocado Salad Dressing is my favorite...
The service is wonderful and they are doing a great job with the safety aspect even though it is a small restaurant.
Karen is incredible!!
Wonderful food and service. The crepes were outstanding.
