Grand Finale Restaurant
Great food, nice efficient server. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Eclectic and delicious. Old world European feel. Medium high on price but seems to warrant it.
Awesome dining experience all around. Food was wonderful. Our waiter, Mike was arguably the best we have ever had at ANY restaurant.
There were four of us who came to the Grand Finale for a birthday lunch, I had heard good things from a couple friends. We had a reservation for 1245pm and were promptly seated. The waitress arrived to take our drink orders and share with us the specials of the day. Three of us ordered the house salad to accompany our meals, the fourth ordered the daily soup special which was an Irish beef barley. The house salad was underwhelming, your basic lettuce with a cherry tomato or two, but the creamy avocado dressing really elevated it. However, our friend RAVED about the beef barley soup! Very flavorful broth and fresh veggies. Our first course included fresh baked rolls and butter which were a nice addition.
We had heard that The Grand Finale was known for their crepes and quiche and chose our entrees accordingly. My friends all chose the daily special quiche of spinach and sun dried tomatoes, I chose the Coq Au Vin crepe, both were excellent choices. The quiche was quite ample, it had a lovely crust on top, almost like a pot pie, but lighter. The crepe was very tasty, the chicken was tender in a light wine cream sauce. Unfortunately, I chose just one crepe portion rather than two, it wasn't especially filling. But the smaller portion did mean that there was room for dessert! My dining companions and I decided to share the chocolate pie, it was the perfect ending to our delightful luncheon. It was a good 6 inches tall, incredibly light and not overly sweet.
The ambiance is one factor attributed to the success of The Grand Finale, the food is another. It's good, fresh, well prepared and nicely presented. Our waitress wasn't the most efficient, but she was friendly. We all agreed we would return again.
We went to the restaurant for a book club meeting. Was a lot of fun. We had a good waiter. The food was good. Atmosphere in the older, charming building was perfect for book club.
Great food, great service and great friends...couldn’t ask for more!
Our lunch was delicious....salad, warm bread, crepes. Excellent service.
The alcove at THE GRAND FINALE is just awesome...... quaint, quiet and just perfect for a grouo of 4-8!
I loveed my GIRLFRIEND BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!
We went at 6:45 and left at 10; I think the staff was waiting for us to leave! Haha!
This was the worst service the eight of us have ever had at ANY restaurant! Thankfully, the majority of the people in our group had had a prior positive experience. Our server refused to share the specials of the day until, as she said, “I’ll tell you when I’m ready.” She did not check on the accuracy of our food, and there was a mistake so I had to track her down to correct. She did not offer coffee or after dinner drinks. We had to request a dessert menu. We waited a half hour for our checks and then another fifteen minutes for her to process them. Tables of four turned twice or three times during our duration there. If I return, I will make sure not to have Karyn S. as my server. Such a disappointing experience for a group of 8 people celebrating a reunion.
Always a treat. A wonderful meal. Odd that restaurant was nearly empty. Great chutney and mint jelly with rack of lamb.
Introduced this treasure to my son and his wife after moving away for ten years. We were not disappointed!! The ambiance, service, was and menu choices are second to none. We love trying historic places with them, as they, too, prefer old historic venues. We just opened our own restaurant in a home that was built in the 1890’s!! Your restaurant has stood the test of time. We used to go in the 1980’s and 90’s. Continued success!!
Atmosphere, food, wine selection, and service all top notch. Entrees were properly prepared and dessert were beautifully presented and delicious.
Have always loved Grand Finale. Great food 👍 ambiance, everything for an enjoyable experience
we went there for brunch on Sunday. The food was not that good. The selection was not that good. The service was really good and the ambiance is really good. Just the food was very disappointing for Sunday brunch!
Sunday brunch NEVER disappoints at Grand Finale...absolute best in town! I have been visiting since I was a young child (not long after they opened), & my son now loves joining us! My parents hadn’t been in awhile, so we treated them to brunch...which they love as well.
Food was hot and fresh and the selection was large and varied. Staff was very attentive and kept my coffee cup filled. The restaurant, with its wood accents and antique wood tables is very charming. Nice buffet and pancakes to order. Could have added waffles to the menu to round it to perfection.
Food was absolutely delicious!
Yummmm!!! Everything was delightful from atmosphere to drinks and food
Always a great experience. Went there for my wife's birthday, she said was best gift ever.
All on the food was excellent. But, the deserts- they were fantastic!!!
This was a date, and the atmosphere could not have been more romantic. The service was excellent, we were never in want of anything. The food was perfectly timed after our salads, and everything was hot and fresh. It was expensive, but totally worth every penny.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS DINNER FOR A BIRTHDAY EVENING, FIRST TINE THERE FOR MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND....WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE MEAL AND TENATIVE SERVICE BY MIKE..We will be back.
Tasty food ,excellent service, lovely ambience .What more can one ask for .
Always good! Our favorite place in Cincy!
As alway, GREAT. One of our favorites.
I love the friendliness, excellent service and accommodations of Grand Finale staff, and find the ambiance perfect for dining at anytime. Of course all this would not have great significance if the food served wasn’t absolutely delicious!
Outstanding food and service
I was seated where I requested and timely. Greeted as well. Thank you.
We have been going to Grand Finale since they opened in the 70's and the food and service have always been great! We are grateful for them and will continue to be loyal customers.
Excellent as always!
Ok, so the prices are about the same as a Carlo & Johnny's or Embers or other high end steakhouse. The steak was excellent. The fish special was bland and boring.
Service was awesome, our water never ran dry and our server was knowledgeable and kind.
The desert alone (cheesecakes) was reason to go back!
Had a great lunch with my parents for my dad's birthday. Food was fabulous. Desserts are exceptional.
I'm never disappointed at the Grand Finale. It was my guest's first visit and it definitely made a great impression! Highly recommend for lunch, dinner or Sunday Brunch.
2 girls celebrating BIG birthdays. Perfect spot for lunch to celebrate.
Our server dropped off a small dish of strawberries complete with a burning candle.
Grand Finale is our favorite restaurant in Cincinnati!
Excellent food and service. Unfortunately the family at a table beside us was somewhat noisy and distracting. However this is not the fault of Grand Finale or their management. We definitely recommend the Sunday Brunch!
The Grand Finali has the best brunch buffet in Cincinnati plus great service.
The atmosphere is calm and quiet. The service is great. The food is consistently delicious. It is our favorite restaurant. We have not been disappointed.
The atmosphere was very pleasant. Was not impressed with the meal for the price. Service was fair. Sorry, will not be returning.
One of our go to restaurants when we're in Cincinnati. The setting is an old Victorian house, meaning smaller rooms so low noise allowing conversation. Great selection of food always well prepared and tasty. They are known for their crepes and deservedly so. Attentive friendly service.
