Our family celebrated my mom's 65th birthday here, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was Awesome, the service was Awesome, the staff was friendly, they treated us very well! The owner is the best restaurant owner I've ever met!!! We dine here often, and we will continue dining here!
We had family dinner for seven at a private table in a beautiful room. We were greeted by the owners and had a very nice holiday family dinner. Excellent food and atmosphere!
A landmark restaurant in Buckhead, the Grand China restaurant has been on Peachtree Road for over 40 years. (I remember it when I used to work in that area way back when.) If you are in the area or just want to plan for a special time out, a stop at the Grand China restaurant will make for a memorable lunch or dinner . . . .
Good spot for bs lunch. Service excellent
Best Chinese food I have had in a long time. Very authentic. Owner was very nice and kept coming over to see how we were doing. Will return next time we are in town.
Ms Chan is very nice. The entire staff here are excellent. The food is also the best that we have ever had. They will accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have.
After living in Atlanta for 30 years, gave Grand China a try Saturday night. So disappointed. Have no idea why this place draws any diners. Hot and sour pork dish was bland and brown. Udon was only decent dish. Fried dumplings like dough balls.
Our pork dishes served 10 minutes after my wife's udon.
Once served, our waiter became inattentive.
Awful music for chinese restaurant: us rock hits from 70s and 80s
I enjoyed my date night with my husband at this restaurant! The ambiance was nice and the menu had so many different foods that we wanted to try. It was hard for us to decide which entree to get. We will definitely be back again!
It was great! Highly recommend the garlic chicken.
Great and consistent - our go to Chinese in Atlanta
Out of touch Chinese food sloppy created dishes. Authentic is one tging but sloppy is another. Menu to large and traditional dishes are not authentic.
Overall great visit. Loved the owner, she is a delight. The orange chicken was also a big time hit. Not your average orange chicken. Will definitely be coming back and ordering even take out if it's this good!
Good food, good service, fair price
Food and service was excellent.
Dumpling were very good and large portions size.
Sushi was excellent. The roll was the size of two rolls.
My husband and myself went for my birthday dinner food was very good, beautiful place very clean service was very good, and servers were very attentive never let our water glasses get below half full.
This restaurant has been an asset to the Buckhead community since it opened in the 1970s. This new location is easily accessible.
My friend and I found out about this restaurant via an ad on YouTube. The service was nothing short of amazing. We truly enjoyed our experience with the staff—the service, the food, the ambiance, etc. This restaurant has one of the most professional staff in Atlanta. I was well pleased with everything.
Very cool spacious and the service was stellar. While a couple of the items we ordered lacked a little in flavor, the food was very good overall.
Food was very good! Everyone was nice to us and we had a wonderful experience, we will be back.
Amazing service by the owner. Delicious cocktails and food. Will definitely be back.
Date night with my Grandmother
Celebrated my sons 16th birthday. Had a great experience.
First visit and made a lunch reservation and was pleased to have the perfect corner table in the glassed in patio. Food was very good and love the variety. Will definitely be returning soon.
Great service great food
The staff was very accommodating of our special request for seating. The server was knowledgeable about the wine list and menu. The food was served quickly and was hot and fresh. We would return next time we are in Atlanta.
Good food, nice atmosphere
Great food and service! Owner gives you a personal greeting and very welcoming. My go to Chinese restaurant. Parking is very convenient.
I love it and will go again with nore friends thak you everybody for the good services
Down home Chinese food - reliable quality and taste.
Me & my fiancee chose Grand China to take our mother's for a mother's day dinner. Absolutely horrible service! We arrived on time for our 8pm reservation and our order wasn't taken until almost 9 and then it took another 45min before we received a portion of our food. Ugh! The food wasn't the worse we've had but it wasn't the best either. I'm originally from Miami and I've been in Atlanta for a little more than 4 yrs and I have yet to find an Asian restaurant to rave about!
Apparently this restaurant has been around for a while, and with good reason... It was surprisingly HUGE on the inside and tastefully decorated. I arrived early & they served me water until my party arrived... The food was WONDERFUL! HUGE portions... everyone was REALLY friendly...
The portions are more than adequate but we felt the duck shoujld have been left intact and
that the diner should put it in the wrappings. It was overcooked.
I have never had corn in soup at a Chinese restaurant. Thought that was not authentic.
They have everything on the menu you expect from a Chinese restaurant, but the food quality is several steps better than anywhere else. Best Chinese food I've ever had.
I had a great time at this restaurant because the service was excellent. The food is good. I will return.
The food at Grand China was great, and I love the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for larger groups, as the big tables with lazy susans are not to be missed. The service is friendly and prompt, and overall the experience was quite enjoyable. Some favorites were the House Lo Mein and Mongolian Chicken. The ambience would have a higher rating but the night we dined it was extremely cold in the dining room and we had to keep our jackets on even after asking for the heat to be turned up. Still, overall, I would definitely recommend for those seeking a more upscale but family and group friendly Chinese dining experience.
It was good 25 years ago and it is still good. Had not been in about 20 years, but it is very good Chinese food. Should work on the comfort (heat) of the customers. But the food is good.
