Oysters and chowder were good. When mains came a couple were very cold. We asked staff to refire them. It was like they had finished way early and sat while the other main was being made, making the octopus cold and hard. No a huge deal if they would make it proper. After waiting again a server brought the same dishes back out to us. They didn’t remake the dishes they just put them under a heat lamp for a while. We turned it away and asked for our check. I think the quality of the pursuers are still very good but the rest has gone downhill. We usually come for lunch every time we visit NY, but this was likely out last time. Our waiter was very pleasant but admitted he can’t control the kitchen.

Recommend the stew and calamari! The shrimp linguine is good if you’re planning to share a big plate of pasta.

Oysters, as expected, fresh and flavorful***** Calamari was “meh”, avoid. Rubbery, not fresh** NY Cheesecake **** Busboy ***** discreet, and on top of his job Waiter*** dismissive of the person paying the bill, was decent to the person ordering the oysters. This was our first time seated in the dining area because this was a birthday occasion. Overall it was a memorable experience but the waiters condescending attitude dampened our full enjoyment. The next time we’ll eat at the counter where we always get friendly, cheerful service.

Good place for business lunch in slightly conspiratorial atmosphere.

We always go back for the nostalgia and regret that we did. All the food except for the oysters was ill prepared. The service was beyond horrible. I believe we have finally learned.

Noise is a considerable challenge. This was not a good choice for lunch with my friend. We are in our eighties and absolutely loved the oyster choices..gazpacho was heavenly, but we couldn't have a conversation.

Fantastic seafood experience! The Kumamoto oysters were incredibly fresh, the lobster cocktail was amazing, and the tuna tartare was perfectly prepared. The sole piccata was flavorful and tender. Our waiter was attentive and courteous, making the evening even more enjoyable. My daughter and I had a wonderful time—highly recommend!
