Amazing brunch with mimosas. Great value and location.
This place is GREAT! The food, ambience, and the staff.
Great venue! Good food. Always happy to visit this restaurant.
Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Variety of foods. Convenient to the culture vibe of downtown.
Close to the music center. Very accommodating of our large group.
I booked this reservation for my boss and did not attend. Here is her response:
The food was very good and the service was great, even though it was a little slow to start - maybe short staffed. The servers were very nice and responded quickly to our requests.
Still wondering why no points are giving for the reservation.
As usual, good food, good service (Amy and her helper). Just wondering why I do not get "points" for this reservation?
We went to the Grand Cafe for Thanksgiving brunch buffet. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table despite having a reservation. Our waiter never offered beverage refills. There were very few vegetarian options and the vegetables offered were undercooked. The overall quality of the food was disappointing for the price. To top it off, we waited over 30 minutes for our car from the valet.
Very nice, had Thanksgiving brunch there with the family. Very nice wait staff and the turkey was juicy and savory!
We went for Thanksgiving Lunch buffet and the food was better than expected. Ambiance very comfortable and nice. Planning on returning next Thanksgiving. Everyone was full and satisfied but coming home to a clean kitchen and getting up from the table without picking up dishes was the best
This review is for their Thanksgiving brunch. For what it was, it was very good. The only complaints I had were inattentive service, which being a busy Thanksgiving at 2 pm, was understandable. Otherwise the service was accommodating. I liked the food selections, but for the following: long wait for a new roast turkey to replace the almost completely carved one. Not enough side vegetables to accompany the meal. And no pumpkin pie for dessert. Otherwise, expect the normal high energy, high noise level, and a nice dining room.
The restaurant did not have a record of our reservation. Things were a bit hectic there, but after a short wait amongst other waiting groups, we were seated. They wrote our name on a sheet of paper that had other names, even though we had made a reservation on OpenTable.
Extremely poor food selections vs the price. Only one room dedicated for the buffet. Good waiter service.
Two adult and one 8yr old child totaling $177. After the tip $208. Not so happy thanksgiving..
Hindsights 20/20, Next time I’m taking my fam back to Luminaries. Same quality food three times the size the buffet and $55 per adult.
Thanks Omni for nothing and how to never see you guys again...
I’ve been taking my Mom to the Thanksgiving brunch for years, and it is always great. My Mom loves the variety of meat- she doesn’t get seafood or prime rib from the kitchen at her retirement home! And it works for me as a vegetarian, because I can get all the thanksgiving sides without the turkey! and the wait staff is exceptional - not a common experience with buffets.
I’ve been to the Grand Cafe for special occasions i.e., birthdays and Father’s Day, this time it was Thanksgiving. As usual, we enjoyed our dining experience. The best part was our servers and the omelette bar chef. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure our needs were met. But, we usually get this type of service from our servers always great.
Copious amounts of attractively served delicious food in their Thanksgiving Buffet Appreciated a reasonable valet parking fee. Was seated and served promply. Mimosas could have been a bit more tasty but they were plentiful.
As usual, food was great, servicer (Amy) was great. Always great at the Omni Grand Café.
The service was great! The French toast was not dipped in egg long enough because it was dry in the middle of each slice. The prime rib was sliced ahead of time and placed on a warming tray, rather than slicing fresh. The shrimp did not taste good either. I expected more, especially at that price.
Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday with brunch and mimosas. Good quality food. Very pricey, but it was a clean and we'll serviced establishment. Definitely unable to eat your money's worth. But prime rib was great, a lot of poached shrimp and breakfast staples. Excellent attentive service.
Always a good time here!
The service was great! The brunch wasn't really what I expected, but my boyfriend and my 9 year old son loved it!
Not thrilled. Bread basket was the best part of the meal. Didn’t like my French onion soup. Cobb salad was fine .
Delicious and plentiful Sunday brucnh in odwntown Los Angleles. Indifferent service and loudness of the restauarant did not diminish what was an expensive but good choice!
The server was very attentive. The food was good. The prime rib was sliced ahead of time and looked like it had been sitting on the hot griddle for days.
The food wasn’t good at all for the price. But the servers were all very good.
The food was good and the service was prompt and friendly. We’ve had Sunday lunch there a number of times and have always been satisfied with the experience.
I went with my family for brunch and I loved it! Great food! Great service and endless mimosas! 😏
This is the second time I have brought family to the Grand Café for Sunday Brunch and we have all enjoyed the food. It is refreshing to find a buffet brunch these days where the hot food is really hot (and I mean really hot) and the cold food kept very cold. The quality and selection will meet everyone's taste. I always leave wanting more but don't have anymore room.
Friendly and attentive staff. Nice and varied menu. Close to theater venues.
Amazing service and food was immaculate, great experience overall. Highly recommend!
My cousins and I celebrated a birthday before going to the theatre. The Valet was very nice and welcoming. First impression was great. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was friendly! We never felt abandoned. We were well taken care of. The food was delicious!!! I've been telling everyone. I definitely will go back.
We were there for the weekend brunch buffet. It costs $55 and includes a decent selection of food (chilled crab legs!) and unlimited mimosas, fruit juices, and coffee. We had a good time. Our servers were extraordinarily attentive--clearing plates promptly, replenishing our mimosa glasses frequently, etc. Our only complaint was that the food items are not well labeled. Labels don't list ingredients. Listing the ingredients would be considerate, especially useful for those of us who have allergies and/or dietary restrictions.
I visited Omni for lunch on a Sunday.
Firstly, the elevator wasn't working due to a fire emergency.
Secondly, there was no one on the front desk to seat us and we had to wait until someone noticed us standing helplessly.
The restaurant was very noisy and the servers were absent for most of the time.
I ordered a shrimp Scampi and is was so bland and distasteful. Although enjoyed the Creme Brulee.
Will not visit again and do not recommend.
Augustus and another male waiter which I can't remember his name were outstanding! They provided great service. Both were extremely accommodating.
Came for Sunday brunch to celebrate my sister in laws birthday. We had a party of 7 ladies and we had a ball! Food is amazing and mimosas had us so drunk! This was my 4th time having brunch here and I will definitely be returning! Love the Omni/Grande Cafe!!!
The wait staff was attentive. The food was outstanding. Had a very good time.
Something to please every taste. Wonderful selection. Great food, great service, great time!
