Table was ready when we got there. Although I mentioned in my reservation that we were there to celebrate a birthday, no one acknowledged it. The service is too slow to accommodate an hour lunch break. Food is always very good and the service was friendly.

We always have so much fun when we visit The Grand Cafe right on the 3rd floor of the Omni Hotel downtown LA. This place gives such a mellow atmosphere and the food is great, especially the hot fresh omelette that is made to order, fresh fruit, danishes, and those crisp on the outside, tender on the inside waffles. Every option for breakfast is there and displayed so clean and beautifully. Then there is brunch time at around 10 AM when the crab legs, shrimp and roast come out on display with deserts. I have yet to explore all the options . To top it all is the endless mimosas , the waiters , and the waitress . They are very good at what they do . You bring the fun and they will do the rest. You have the option to eat in or out doors. Either way the view is nice. The Hotel is even nicer. I love this joint.

Pleasant atmosphere. Good food. Good service. Although the coffee was good I think $6 is an outrageous price!

Bought a Travelzoo voucher for 4 for Saturday brunch. The buffet had a good selection of foods and the brunch included unlimited mimosa's which is a must:-)

We had wonderful window seats with a great view of the plaza. The service was excellent and the food was great. I actually go there often as I love the Omni both in L.A. and Irving.

Enjoyed a great Saturday brunch with the family. There was something for everyone. Dad had an omelette from the omelette bar kids loved the shrimp and waffles. I sampled the ribs and salmon. Not as crowded as the usual Sunday brunch and much more enjoyable.

I was looking for a Saturday brunch and came across the Grand Cafe on another website. It had high marks so I thought I would try it out. It was great, a wide variety of food at a reasonable price. I would go back again. The service was also great. Very nice people from the minute you got there.

I was there with my husband and mother-in-law for Easter brunch. Beforehand, I called to confirm that they would accept the yelp check in offer (coupon) for Easter brunch. I was assured they would all I would have to do is show the coupon to the front upon arrival. That day, before I was seated, I showed my coupon and the person up front was unpleasant when they told me that they wouldn’t be accepted it, knowing I was in a bind as I didn’t have reservations anywhere else.

The food could have made up for the unpleasant start it but even though there was a lot of food it was generally subpar. For example, the scallops that were set out at first were small and cold. Admittedly, later on, I noticed larger ones being were set out. They were much tastier and warmer. The lamb and pork at the chef's station was dry and tasteless. The pork belly Eggs Benedict was much better as an idea than in its execution. The pork belly was good but the bread was cold and the sauce on it odd. The omelette was the best thing (savory wise) at the buffet but $65 is really too much for an omelette.

As for the sweets, the desserts seemed to be pretty good.

I came here for my 30th birthday brunch. They were able to accommodate a group of 20 people with only a weeks notice. It was the perfect start to our Sunday Funday. The food was decent. The service was great. Bottomless mimosas was a huge plus! Will definitely be back.

I made a reservation for 20 people, which is really hard to find in the LA area without having to book a private event. We got there and was seated immediately. The occasion was my 25th birthday on March 11th. Sandra was our waitress and she went above and beyond my expectations. She was definitely attentive and made sure our needs were met throughout the time frame we were there! She kept it coming with the mimosas when she saw our glasses getting empty! She was absolutely AMAZING! I loved the vibe and location of the restaurant! And the food was sooooo good! Definitely worth the money and drive out there! It was such a good find!

Food was lacking in taste and quality. There wasn’t prime rib, just over done roast beef. There wasn’t much of a carving station. The previous customers indicated there were crab claws, there wasn’t. They didn’t refill the dim sum section or the congee section. After being told everything was coming .. 2 hours later it still hadn’t come. The only saving grace was the omelette station .. can’t go wrong with eggs. The desserts wasn’t half bad either. All in all, I would not be coming back.

Service was not up to par! The host forgot to sit us and we had to remind him we was waiting for our table reservations. Our waitress was slow and showed no concern for our table needs. All around was not a great experience at all.

Grand cafe is in a beautiful hotel, atmosphere is wonderful but unfortunately the staff was not. Front desk was very accommodating with my reservation, when we notify the front desk my last two members of my party didn’t arrive yet he was very understanding and took us anyway. The manager on staff though and our server made us feel very uncomfortable . Every so often the waiter pass by stare at us empty glasses and walk away. The manager on staff even came up to us and asked so are your friends on their way?! It was very uncomfortable. When my friends arrived the waiter was much more attentive, it made us not enjoy our meals as we always get expectional service when it comes to a location that has buffet/mimosas.

Wait person seemed confused by the ingredients I wanted with my eggs, and then they didn't come scrambled as requested, but as an omelet. Another staff member misgendered me twice until I corrected him.

The table at the window was appreciated.

We've gone there a lot - beautiful place to sit and the food is pretty good. The service yesterday was absymal. One of the diners had soup and asked for a roll, crackers, or some bread. It came when he was almost finished with the soup. Still like being there. Will have to insist on what we want in the future - although, with good service, we shouldn't have to do that.

We have eaten here before but left today because of noise. We had asked for a quiet table when making the reservation but no attempt easier to save a table for us. The noise level is ami. To a cafeteria at lunch hour. The service and good rating is from prior visits.

Breakfast meeting. Excellent location, noise level and not crowded and tables not stacked on each other. Lots of good choices for everyone. My quinoa bowl with poached eggs and verde sauce (instead of cheese sauce) was unbelievably good.

It wasn’t as good as last year. The service is not as good as well. The gentleman at prime ribs station is the only awesome employee for the day. I don’t mean their service is bad but needs improvement. From the hosts at reception desk to the servers. They need to show more enthusiastic and put more smiles on their face to let us feel welcome. The food are cold (Asian stations). Please understand it is very hard to eat cold noodles and it makes the food taste bad. The drunken noodle are too dry and all stuck together. The sliced fruit cakes been leaving there from the whole time I was there and never refilled or replaced. The sausages are dry as well. The food quality has dropped significantly. Good luck.

We took in-laws out for Sunday Brunch. This was our second time at the Omni Grand Cafe. The food last time was excellent, and it still is. The variety of items prepared is staggering and everything we tried was quite tasty. There is literally something for everyone. For our previous visit we dined outside; this time it was too cold for outdoor dining, but the noise level in the Cafe was quite tolerable. The price puts the Grand Cafe into special occasion territory for us, but we'll definitely go again when the right occasion occurs.
